“I went here with a group of friends. It is a small intimate bar. They occasionally have a kitchen that serves homemade dishes. Lots of inexpensive bottles of icy cold beers, as well as mixed drinks. There is a pool table and a dart board, music from cd's. I had fun but I knew a lot of people in the bar. Very friendly staff. They also have "guest bartender night". A frequent patron acts like the bartender for the evening.“

“Panzón in Greenpoint is such a delightful spot! I had the chance to sit outside, and it was the perfect setting for a relaxed, sunny meal. The atmosphere is casual, welcoming, and full of energy, making it a lovely place to enjoy food with friends or family.

The food was absolutely delicious. I started with the street corn, which was flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and the ideal combination of smoky, creamy, and tangy. For my main, I tried a few of the tacos, and each one was packed with fresh ingredients and bold, vibrant flavors. The balance of textures and seasonings in each taco made every bite a little celebration of authentic Mexican street food.

The staff was friendly and attentive, creating a comfortable dining experience that made the meal even more enjoyable. Sitting outside in the fresh air while enjoying such tasty dishes added an extra layer to the experience — it felt relaxed, fun, and unhurried.

“Look, there are a million bars in New York. But few of them have a soul. You can feel the intention behind everything at Bar Americano from the weight of the glassware to the garnish on the drink to the playlist. They care about the little things that make up the whole experience. It's the kind of place you bring an out of town friend to show them what a real Brooklyn bar feels like. Easily one of the best no question, I kinda became like the michelin guys reviewing these XD.“

“I went to El Pingüino about two weeks ago and absolutely loved that they offer happy hour seven days a week and it’s becoming a routine for us!
The hours are 4–7 PM, plus a late-night happy hour from 10 PM to midnight.

Their seafood happy hour is pretty simple they only offer one type of oyster but it was super fresh and delicious. Clean, lightly briny, and perfect with just a squeeze of lemon.

And they have really great basque cheesecake!

The overall vibe is relaxed and easygoing, making it a great spot to unwind after work or grab a late-night drink.

If you’re in Greenpoint and love oysters, this place is definitely worth checking out.“

“Drove an hour just to come here for Premier League Morning. The bar was packed, drinks were flowing and the staff was having a grand time with patrons. Ordered the fish and Chips and a Heineken, my buddy got the Full Irish Breakfast, some wings, and a couple beers. The Cod beer batter was fantastic, super crispy fish that melts in your mouth. The buffalo sauce on the wings was also tasty. Prices are great for cash customers as well. My only negative is that when the door keeps opening the place starts FREEZING especially at the bar area but quickly warms up again when closed. Honestly a gem of a sports bar.“

Very cute and dimly lit inside with board games and pinball machines to play which I found extremely unique. The highlight of my night was meeting the bartender, Dee. She was adorable and very sweet. “They don’t really have food so no rating on that. Great local vibey place. Lots of seating indoor and out, even if it’s a small place. Great DJs and music. People actually dance even though it’s not a club. Security is nice. More of a grab a drink with friends place and listen to music than cocktail bar or club. My go to place on Fulton. Swing by the halal cart after in front of the Franklin station.“

“Went on Friday with my girlfriend coz it wss recommended by a friend. We just walk- in coz we couldn't get the reservation. But the host was so accommodating and manage to get us a seat at the bar after waiting about 10 mins. The bartenders were amazing.

“This is a cool spot and often has a great crowd. You can catch the football games on the projector. Please be warned, they force a 20% gratuity on your bill even just sitting at the bar. Maybe they do this because people don't enjoy tipping for extremely slow service which you will probably encounter. (The bartender with the glasses is pretty good though) On top of that, they nickel and dime you with a 2.5% credit card surcharge. I have never seen that at a bar before.“

“Great small and quaint bar next to the 7 line this was like my fourth time frequenting this wine bar. The bar itself is very cozy and with unique decor. Besides serving many wines they have cocktails with unique names and beers. We were there for happy hour and had wine with a spread. We also ordered a charcuterie plate. “Altar is a hidden gem in Brooklyn. It is such a quaint space that is packed with well crafted cocktails and some of the best small bites in Brooklyn. No issue with availability and service, very attentive.
Chicken dish with sauce ok, but asparagus flimsy and green bean sized while mashed potatoes served ice cream scoop and lacking in flavor.
Long awaited favorite of mine, fish and chips.
Fish better than most in area, still lacking in wow factor while the (chips) were a flimsy mess , no crisp or seasoning.
As to beer, Stella was fine but Blue Moon dark and flat.

I turned up solo on a Monday night: there were bands playing, staff were super friendly and it all cost not even enough to make the minimum card spend. 100% would recommend, and I’d even travel to come back here on my next visit.“
