“Great spot in the neighborhood to get a beer and entertainment. 5th really tries to give a visitor great value with live music and trivia nights. Their beer selection is nice and there is usually a food pop up when you get hungry. Dogs are a common visitor so if you don’t like them or are allergic you may want to make sure you find a seat away from our fury pals. It’s one of my favorite places in the area to hang out and witness some pretty good jazz and meet up with friends. LIC is a bit more modern and might be low on the history and charm of many neighborhoods in the city but 5th does a really great job of starting the area’s own vibe and identity.“
“Yer basic taproom, a bunch of their own great beers on draught and can, mix of lager, IPA and silly stout. Bar staff that know the beers.
The afternoon I visited there was a DJ on playing some light rock, a nice amount of background ambience without getting in the way of having a conversation.“
“We had our wedding afterparty at the Simple Motive Brewing Company (after our wedding reception upstairs at the Events at the Mills). The team at Simple Motive was wonderful and easy to work with. Our guests had a great time. The bartenders were efficient and friendly. We had food delivered and the team was helpful in helping us get everything set up. The planning process was incredibly easy. Thank you Simple Motive!“
“Great beer selection & ambiance.“
“Bke is even more than the best Kombucha ever. It’s a lifestyle and a beautiful community ❤️ I highly recommend!!“
“Average brewery, with a unique way for service. This was a top place to visit and was a bit disappointed. Tours were unavailable. Upon walking in friendly greeting and instructed to sit anywhere but order from a QR code. Working in the service industry I understand the QR codes for menus and ordering but more so during busy hours or when understaffed. Which was not the case here. They had an abundance of staff hanging around that would bring over your order but no further conversation.“
“Pumpkin painting was a blast!“
“Cool high ceilinged space with brewing taking place right in the middle of the floor. Great selection of beers, small food menu, but everything I had was superb. Service was attentive and friendly. I’ve been road tripping and visiting a LOT of breweries but their Almost Famous NEIPA is the best beer I’ve had this trip.“
“The sake was delicious some of the best alcohol I’ve ever had. We went for the live jazz which was fine except it was so loud we could barely speak. We were also essentially the only people there on a Friday night, so the loud volume felt super unnecessary in such a small space.“

“Excellent beer - friendly staff! Great atmosphere!!“
“Great range of their own beers from easy drinking L/P (necessary thirst quencher after a long walk from KCBC) and some more serious German style. A bunch of sours and ciders, and of course IPAs on draught.
Their only stouts were can and bottle when we visited at the start of Sep, that may be different in winter?
A few non alcoholic beer options and wine too.
Decent food choice as well. From interesting bar snacks, I had the sweet and spicy nuts. And Apizza (New Haven style thin and crispy) with a varied choice of toppings.“
“Good local small brewery. Have trivia and live music.“
“Every single beer was amazing! The brewer, Jordan, is behind the bar to help you pick out what you’d like, and he’s a delight and very knowledgeable/creative with the drinks he makes. Cocktails also available. It’s also a fun space with board games and live music as well! We will definitely be back!!“
“Good vibes abound here. Bonus points for positive and queer-affirming energy from the patrons, staff, and owners. If you’re a serious beer drinker, Alewife offers a rotating cast of drafts, bottles, and cans that speak to the diverse flavors and sensations of beer in a laidback setting. On the one hand, because they frequently change offerings, some may find that the brewery is highly experimental in character, though if you’re serious about beer this is the soul of what I feel a brewery is meant to be; ever expanding, ever experimenting, bold with what’s on offer. True story: My partner who is generally against beer tried one of their aged bottles and was converted. Confused the beer for a sparkling rosé! This deserves some applause. Also deserves praise for the bands on display on Fridays and the weekend, great to see in our neighborhood. A very welcome presence in Sunnyside! Keep it up folks.“
“It has a variety of alcohol levels, so it's good to go with RTS friends.
Non-alcoholic beer is also available. Other than the small bar next to the company, there isn't much to see.
And there is a cute cat. A friendly clerk will help you get your food. very cute“
“good service and good selection. many different drinks(not just beer), didn't try the food though.“
“They were extremely accommodating, great drinks, great staff, great atmosphere and wonderful spot for events. Can’t wait to go again.“
“We hosted our night before the wedding welcome drinks here and had such a good time. We worked with Matthew who was always courteous, professional, and quick to reply. The space was great, our guests had a blast, and we're so glad we chose to have our event here.“
“One of the country’s best breweries right in Astoria AND next to a grocery store (grocery shopping always better after a couple drinks). The brewery has cozy indoor space, ample outdoor space, and the folks running the bar are kind and knowledgeable — nothing is pretentious. If you’re an aviation geek, sit outside, as it’s a prime spot for watching narrowbody departures from LGA.“
“We went to the tasting room/brewery and had the most amazing time. This was an jaw dropping introduction to Korean traditional sool and I am super excited to tell my friends, co workers, and my family. The flavors of each brew is so beautiful, and the amazing food that came with it made my tongue super happy!! willl be going back again and again, and going to order bottles for my friends!!! thank you Alice for opening my eyes to the wonderful world of korean soooool!!“
“This place is excellent! Super good service paired with excellent beer that is flavoursome and well priced with most beers around the $11 mark. Most people were in working and having a coffee which made it nice and busy with a good atmosphere even earlier in the day. If you like a craft beer you must stop by.“

“Chill vibe - went for the 2 Wheels Tuesday. Great crowd and such beautiful motorcycles throughout the years.
I tried the I'm Not Even A Pumpkin Guy - I am a die hard Shipyard girl, THIS BEER was one of the best Pumpkin beers I had since Shipyard.“

“This is one of our favorite places to visit! The beers they have are so delicious and appetizing. They play incredibly good music and the empanadas are beyond delicious! I recommend getting all of the empanadas they have and trying as many beers as possible. You can spend multiple hours there just enjoying the music and beer.“
