Gun Hill Brewing Company Brewery • $$
3227 Laconia Ave, Bronx

“Didn't know there was a brewy in the bronx. Nice cozy place to have a temaste of the local beer. I was on a bike ride and this was our final destination. The father and son bbq was a pop-up, once the food ran out that was it. They had good food, the brewy doesn't have food and they are open at a certain time. I would suggest some heaters if the bay door is going to be open. I will definitely be going to back to try some of there other beers. Maybe catch a game.“

The Bronx Brewery & Empanology Brewery • $

“I came here on a weekend to watch the NYC Gladiators play in the backyard. The rain was really heavy and the backyard area doesn't have the best drainage or cover so it wasn't the best situation. I got their IPA which is alright. Maybe one day I'll come here and try the other beers.“

Kings County Brewers Collective Brewery • $$
381 Troutman St, Brooklyn - 10.07 miles

“KCBC Brewery stands out as a beacon for beer aficionados, boasting an expansive space that instantly welcomes you with its warm and inviting vibe. The sheer size of the place allows for a diverse crowd, from casual drinkers to serious hop heads, all finding their niche in this vibrant atmosphere. The selection of beers is nothing short of amazing, with each brew showcasing the craftsmanship and passion of its creators. From rich, robust stouts to crisp, refreshing lagers, there's something for every palate. The vibe is lively yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day or kickstart a night out with friends. However, there's a catch—KCBC's focus is solely on their brews, meaning snack options are non-existent. While this might be a slight downside for those looking to pair their pint with a quick bite, the quality and variety of the beers on offer more than make up for it. It encourages guests to immerse themselves fully in the tasting experience, perhaps even prompting a visit to local eateries before or after. In essence, KCBC Brewery is a must-visit for its exceptional beers and the nice vibe it offers, even if it means planning your snacks elsewhere.“

“Being possessed of a very childlike palate that only enjoys extremely sweet and soda/juice/candy-type beverages, I used to hate beer and had never had one In even remotely enjoyed. However, trying some of Evil Twin's sours, I'm definitely a beer convert (well, Evil Twin's sours and similarly sweet beers, at least).“

“Cool high ceilinged space with brewing taking place right in the middle of the floor. Great selection of beers, small food menu, but everything I had was superb. Service was attentive and friendly. Alternative Medicine Brewing Company Brewery •
29 Elm Ave Ste 1A, Mt Vernon - 4.98 miles

“I have been to Alternative Medicine Brewing Company twice and had positive experiences. I live in Brooklyn now and come up to see friends and family and I really wish this place was around when I when was living in Fleetwood. They make a very good IPA with Juice Cleanse, their environment is fantastic, they have a super cozy nook and the bathrooms are incredibly clean. Caribbean Soul Food literally hits the spot. Also, the owners and employees are super friendly. Mount Vernon really needs more great small businesses like this and I hope to keep coming back in the future for great beer.“

BKE Kombucha Brewery •
310 Meserole St, Brooklyn - 10.11 miles

“What a friendly place! My husband, a visiting friend and I stopped here on our way to a neighborhood errand yesterday. We meant for the stop to be just a quick “taste” of something healthy, because we were feeling a little bit shell shocked after a late Saturday night. In BKE, we found a restful, sunny, hospitable environment. Jackie - not sure of her title, but let’s call her the “resident expert” - kindly let us taste her favorites from the tap before we ordered. My favorites were a raspberry kombucha and a bright blue pea flower shot (!) and my husband loved his latte, a special creation of Jackie’s (pictured). We stayed a lot longer than we had meant to and left feeling happy - we will be back!“

“Huge airplane hangar of a brewery and taproom. Lots of beers on tap that run the gamut of tastes and styles. There's a lot of active stuff happening around here and you can really get lost in the enormous culture surrounding this place. “This is a real Irish bar. Not in the sense of taped up paper leprechauns or a tinsel HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY banner, but rather campaign photos of John and Robert Kennedy, as well as other candidates for office going back more than 100 years. It's one of the oldest bars in New York City, and decorated with historical markers, play tickets, political posters and buttons, as well as a painting of a naked lady! New York Craft Coalition Brewery •
139 Hoyt Ave Suite A, Mamaroneck - 9.91 miles

“The location is attached to the end of a craft beer market. Little hard to find. Have to continue walking past it outside and there's a door on the side. They do serve food however I didn't try any. I sampled the house lagers, IPA's and Stouts. Their main stout is absolutely phenomenal. The IPA's left a little to be desired for me. I like my IPA's with more of a hoppy bite at the end. The Lager was incredibly smooth and would be a great all day tailgating beer. Bar managers were very insightful about the products they had. Would recommend.“

I learned so much about the brewing process and what Yakju, Takju and Hwaju is. Loved the tastings at the end and that you can buy bottles as well. Really interesting experience that is unique and special. This def changed the way I look at Makgeolli (which I've only got from HMart in the past).
