“Went inside on a whim and so glad we did. The handrolls were incredible. The fish was great quality and creativity was next level. Our favorites were the xo scallop (must get), tuna poke, salmon serrano, aka ebi, toro scallion, and spicy lobster. Not as big of a fan of cooked/fried fish in sushi, but tried the coconut shrimp and spicy crab dynamite due to the many recommendations, and thought they were just okay. Also didn’t think the caviar starter was anything special.“

“Walked in on a Friday & joined the wait list. Definitely waited much longer than we were quoted. However, the food made up for it. Everything we had was delicious and fresh. Chef choice of meat, cheese & veg was creative and balanced. I also especially enjoyed the lumache pasta!“

“The food at Djondjon is spot on.... This restaurant is a jewel. The food is amazing, and the hospitality is off the chart. There is free jazz often enough. The quality far surpasses the price. I love their pasta, their fish and their goats which come in various varieties. Their appetizers are yummy. I will continue to patronize this place. I had my Cabrit boukannen ( grilled goat) and it really pleased my taste buds.“

“My favorite weekend indulgence! I tend to get a sugary coffee (butterscotch latte is a personal fave) or tea (London fog, anyone?). They have a lot of great drink options and good breakfast pastries too, with plenty of vegan options there if you're so inclined.“

“Stopped by Ceremonia this morning and grabbed their biscuit sandwich (no bacon) for breakfast. It came out in just a few minutes, and the staff was really kind and welcoming. The sandwich itself was epic. It was huge, with a runny sunny-side egg that made it feel dramatic and so satisfying. I was hoping for decaf coffee, but they only had tea, so I skipped the drink this time. Took my sandwich over to McCarren for a little picnic, which was the perfect way to start the morning. I also picked up one of their cookies to share with my husband later I can’t wait to try it.“

Always clean, good smell, coffee is perfect, matcha latte is awesome - unsweetened as I love. There is no space to seat after 10am usually. So it would be better to make a timing for using laptop there.“

“Interior/outside terrace: the interior is very functional, very few inside seating options. But it’s not like a comfy café. They do have a small outside seating area, which is nice, nothing special, but if you get a table there, you can enjoy your croissants in the sun.

Food quality/price: good selection of savoury & sweet food, very delicious. I got an earl grey bun & a pistachio croissant. Both very delicious, like out of another world. Loved them. I found their food to be quite expensive.
Suggestion: why not making tiny versions of the different treats (to a smaller price as well of course), so solo-visitors can try more delicious treats?

“Fun little spot! Very sweet desserts. Ashley is the best. My friend and I came in super close to closing time (our bad!) but Ashley was very nice to us and helped us get some good desserts. Pie is good (my friend really loved it, but was a little too sweet for me), the cornflake cookie is good. Most surprising was the peanut butter cookie! I don't usually like peanut butter cookies, but I did like this one. It was also a little less sweet. I'd come back to this location to try the soft serve or some of the other options.“

“Fresh juice available at all hours and since it’s 24 hours, a great spot for late night grocery run with a solid selection of vegetables & fruits. You can get fresh lions mane, oyster, shiitake and chestnut mushrooms here as well as a variety of fresh whole bean coffee and snacks, beer and more.

“Planted sets the vibes right before you step inside with beautiful decor on the outside. All the way throughout the cafe, you’ll find cute plants and a relaxed environment. I got the turmeric smoothie and it definitely added some pep in my step. Excited to go back and try the gluten free, vegan espresso brownie. The service is the reason the shop has such a welcoming environment. This cafe is a must try, they also host events ☺️“

“We hosted a summer gathering for about 25 people on Fornino’s beautiful rooftop terrace to celebrate my belated birthday, and overall had a fantastic experience. The pizza was delicious, the hospitality was warm, and the service seamless—everything you want for a group event. A special thanks to the staff for keeping the food and drinks flowing effortlessly throughout the day/night. While one team member, Ingrid, seemed a bit less enthusiastic despite our generous orders, it didn’t take away from the great time we had. Highly recommend Fornino for casual celebrations with friends, good food, and a great view.“

Beet salad was so good, burgers cooked to perfection, shakshuka with merguez sausage was delicious, the white truffles pizza with poached eggs was amazing!! “Ordered take out and it was delicious- this is not your average NYC Indian food. The lamb chennai was tender with complex layers of flavor that came together in a soothing warmth. The samosa chaat was delicious.
My friend did say that the dosa was more vinegary than usual and the saag paneer was not as finely done- so there may be some inconsistencies in the kitchen. But overall, I was delighted.“
