“Donovan’s Pub is owned by 2 Woodside gentlemen. The staff is amazing friendly welcoming and knowledgeable. The food is absolutely delicious and great portions. They have the Best Burger in NYC. It’s the best burger I have ever had. They have awesome live music every weekend on their brand new stage. Their lineup of musicians is the best around. I’ve been going there for 50+ years and I highly recommend Donovan’s Pub in Woodside NY.“

“This bakery offers anything and everything you can think of. Tons of cookies, cakes, sweet treats, and coffees. The coffees had the longest wait. I wanted a double cappucino, thinking it was a double shot of espresso, but it was actually double the amount, so it was a huge portion!

I enjoyed a guava pastry which was yummy!

There's seating in the back and free wifi, although no bathroom for customers.“

“We had the best experience ever with this bakery - the cake was included in our venue pricing through this bakery, and I can definitely see why! Working with Alison to schedule and have our tasting, which was just down right fun...(because of COVID we had to take our samples home... and she loaded us up with some extras to share with friends) to showing her our vision for the cake on the day of, and then actually SEEING and EATING it at our wedding was perfect all the way through. They really incorporated everything we asked for, and it was simply delicious!!! Our guests raved about the food - how fresh, plentiful and delicious everything was. We had several guests with dietary needs (peanut allergy, vegetarian) and Pam helped us craft a menu to accommodate our guests. They even have combo meals for certain items like the hot dog combo which was amazing, it came with hot dog, fries and a soda! It’s sanitary compared to other places. Definitely 10/10 recommendation. Everything is freshly baked and delicious, although I do have favorites: the raspberry crumb cake, the rainbow cookies, the salted caramel cookies, the chocolate caramel brownie, and the star: the Milky Way Cake. “Tonight went to T-Swirl Japanese Crêpe 81-10 Broadway, Elmhurst, NY 11373, Queens—and man, this spot blew me away. I’m a dessert guy through and through, and these crêpes hit different. First one: sliced strawberries, bananas, custard cream, whipped yogurt, chocolate pearls, and crushed pistachio—pure magic. Then I went for the Strawberry Nutella, and thank god I did. 🍓🔥

“Avellino’s definitely deserves to be rated higher than a 4.0. The pizza is always very good and when we order for family parties, everyone is always very happy. There’s been comments in past reviews about the lack of hospitality or a bad attitude with the staff or ownership, which is incredibly bizarre because all of my interactions over the years with the ownership and staff have always been excellent. This is a great local old school pizzeria.“
