“Donovan’s Pub is owned by 2 Woodside gentlemen. The staff is amazing friendly welcoming and knowledgeable. The food is absolutely delicious and great portions. They have the Best Burger in NYC. It’s the best burger I have ever had. They have awesome live music every weekend on their brand new stage. Their lineup of musicians is the best around. I’ve been going there for 50+ years and I highly recommend Donovan’s Pub in Woodside NY.“

Ordered delivery to surprise my significant other; found out later they did not include part of the order. I called the store and they took zero ownership -- the person on the phone told me my only option was to go through their third party delivery site for a refund since that's what I ordered on (ironic as I placed my order through the bakery's website -- they are the ones who choose to automatically contract my order out through this delivery service).

Sorry to say won't be going again -- a shame as my SO is gluten free and we love finding good GF options.“

“We had the best experience ever with this bakery - the cake was included in our venue pricing through this bakery, and I can definitely see why! Working with Alison to schedule and have our tasting, which was just down right fun...(because of COVID we had to take our samples home... and she loaded us up with some extras to share with friends) to showing her our vision for the cake on the day of, and then actually SEEING and EATING it at our wedding was perfect all the way through. They really incorporated everything we asked for, and it was simply delicious!!! We even asked for an extra birthday cupcake for our nephew to have on the day of the wedding, and they made it sooo cute! (wish I could figure out how to add a picture here... It was SO pretty!!!)“

“We are very thankful to have had our daughter's 1st Holy Communion lunch at thyme. Pam and the entire team created a beautiful and bountiful celebration lunch. Our guests raved about the food - how fresh, plentiful and delicious everything was. We had several guests with dietary needs (peanut allergy, vegetarian) and Pam helped us craft a menu to accommodate our guests. The team for the day (Sean, Jon, and Natalya) were so attentive and we appreciate the staff and everyone behind the scenes that made the afternoon a lovely memory for our family and guests. They even have combo meals for certain items like the hot dog combo which was amazing, it came with hot dog, fries and a soda! It’s sanitary compared to other places. Definitely 10/10 recommendation. “I have been going here for years how long I used to babysit for Danny and his brother. The food is delicious. The soups are amazing. Chicken cutlets are delicious. I really haven’t had anything here. I didn’t love.

Dietary restrictions: You can ask not to put extra salt in certain things and I find the soup is not salty. They’re pretty accommodating with everyone.“

“Tonight went to T-Swirl Japanese Crêpe 81-10 Broadway, Elmhurst, NY 11373, Queens—and man, this spot blew me away. I’m a dessert guy through and through, and these crêpes hit different. First one: sliced strawberries, bananas, custard cream, whipped yogurt, chocolate pearls, and crushed pistachio—pure magic. Then I went for the Strawberry Nutella, and thank god I did. 🍓🔥

“Avellino’s definitely deserves to be rated higher than a 4.0. The pizza is always very good and when we order for family parties, everyone is always very happy. There’s been comments in past reviews about the lack of hospitality or a bad attitude with the staff or ownership, which is incredibly bizarre because all of my interactions over the years with the ownership and staff have always been excellent. This is a great local old school pizzeria.“
