“The Tavern has been in business a long time. Used to be called The Clam Steam Tavern. Was and maybe still is, a popular country music venue. My dad was a country and western singer and played there a lot in the 50's. Maybe even in the late 40's. A nostalgic band stand and dance floor is still there and looks like it is in use. The food is standard bar food but very good. I do not eat seafood however my wife does and really likes the clams. Enjoy eating on the outside porch. Will be back this summer.“

Our family of 5 visited this afternoon 9/27 for lunch (11:40 am). Our 6 year old had a great time golfing and playing the fooseball table while waiting for his turn. Its beautifully set up!! We booked the VIP room (designed to accommodate up to 20, with 11 comfortable bar stools, a bistro table with 5 available tall cushioned chairs, 2 regular height cushioned chairs that are wide to accommodate everyone, and 2 couches on either side of the fooseball table). Not too expensive either. We will definitely add this hot spot to our family outings rotation!!

I personally was super impressed with my order of crispy onion rings, the dipping sauce I liked most, looked like a thousand island in color but had a mild savory bacon flavor. We did order the mozzarella bread which was gone in less than 5 minutes (devoured by my picky eaters).

My husband had the Back Nine Burger. Presentation was good, but once smooshed together for the 1st bite... the juices flowed indicating perfection to the Medium-rare request. The smell was very pleasant and perfectly blended ingredients boosting each with wonderful complimentary flavors of beef, white cheddar and bacon. The fries were exceptional mimicking my home made steak fries made fresh from potatoes (never previously frozen).

“Peddler bar was such a vibe,the indoor/outdoor seating was nice. The customer service was good,our server had a few slip ups but they were packed that night so,it's expected. “Wheatfields makes their own pasta. They have 3 gluten-free options for pasta which is just unheard of for most restaurants. I ordered the shrimp and spinach dish on gluten-free linguine. It was savory and absolutely delicious. We love their truffle fries so we ordered those too and they were as good as I remembered. They come with garlic aoli sauce.

The atmosphere is nice with a couple of fireplaces located in the restaurant. There are booths and open tables. There is also a bar and it has seating but I don't know if you can order food from there. My husband got the caramel crunch cake for dessert and he loved it. It was a nice, quiet experience with good food and our server was fantastic.“

It's also conveniently located near most of the airlines I fly with, which makes it an easy stop.
