“Wonderful experience dining at the new Arlo restaurant. The renovation is absolutely incredible. You want to walk around just to admire how beautiful it all looks. The food and service was next level - reminding us of what you’d experience in NYC. Our guests raved about their duck entree, their boeuf bourguignon pot pie was outstanding, the oysters were fresh and delicious, great craft cocktails, and outstanding waitstaff. I hope I’m spelling his name correctly, but Fasbiender was incredibly helpful and kind, as were the other servers who took great care of our party. Caitlyn, who helped us with the booking and made sure everything ran smoothly, was such a pleasure to work with. She was quick to respond, attentive to every detail, and made the planning process completely seamless.

“This place was AMAZING! I never came here before they renovated, but the interior is so beautiful and well thought out, so great job to them! The environment, the staff, the FOOD! Absolutely no notes.

We had a variety of amazing apps (not pictured). Started with the tuna tartar, meatballs (10/10 wish I had a second order of them), and the garlic bread sticks. Everything was cooked so well, while presentation was just as great.

Next the dinner. We had a steak, the pork shank, a salad, and a surf and turf (off menu) that was a full steak with clam stuffed shrimp. Steaks were perfectly medium rare and tender, the pork shank was so tender it was falling off the bone (in the best way), and even the simple salad was fresh and tasty.

Now the dessert. Everything is made by either the head chef, the soup chef, or the waitress. Each one is better than the next. Personal favorite: the dark chocolate cake. My girlfriend, who hates coconut, tried the coconut cream pie and said "wow. I might like coconut now". Her personal favorite is the bread pudding bites.

After dinner we sat at the bar and had a couple drinks while chatting with the bartender, who is so attentive and friendly! Lots of regulars and locals here, but it's part of what made the whole evening so lovely! We will DEFINITELY be back!“

“We actually never went to this location before, but had greatly enjoyed their prior second location in Port Washington. Expectaions were right on point. Food was excellent from appetizer to the main course. Maybe it's weird but I kind of respect even the small things like when a restaraunt offers to chose to serve in house brewed ice tea as opposed to something pre processed. The Brisket from todays specials list was perfect. This restaurant is 45min drive from home and well worth the trip. Thank You, we will be back.“

There are plenty of outdoor tables with umbrellas spaced far apart and off street parking in the back. We will definitely go back. We have been back to DJ's many times. Today we went to DJ's with another couple and we all enjoyed the Lobster Rolls and Sweet Potato Fries. The positive experience included Joseph coming outside to our table several times to ask how everything was and if we needed anything. This is awesome customer service and Joseph should be acknowledged for this. He sets a great example for the other employees.

Chicken, salmon, shrimp and steak, all Hawaiian style, all had great flavor. Portion sizes were just right, even the salmon which some places skimp-out with the fish. no left overs but we weren't still hungry after finishing. A nice personal touch was when the lady behind the counter referred to me by my first name. Usually I'm just a phone number at other places. My finicky family asked that this place go back on the rotation for dinner options. It will. And knowing they have poke now, I'll have to try that too.“

“Harley's American Grille Restaurant in Farmingdale is great place for Lunch, Brunch or Dinner. The place has been redone with a really nice decor. Menu is not extensive but offers a lot of great options. We had the Chicken Sandwich and the Wild Mushroom Ravioli.- both were delicious. They offer a Wine List. The service was awesome and Jesse our server was just amazing. Parking is hard in the Village but there are large metered parking lots behind all the stores.“

Gus, the owner, is the nicest person -- and really knowledgeable about how to cook each kind of fish, if you have a question. If you want something specific, call him a few days in advance, and he'll almost definitely get it for you. All the soups here are amazing -- you will not find a lobster bisque with more lobster in it, anywhere! The clam chowder and cajun corn crab are amazing. The fish and chips is also delicious, not too heavy and not too greasy. As a restaurant, it's a fish shack you'd expect to find on a beach somewhere. The place is not fancy and no one should expect it to be. The food, however, is great and the service is beyond friendly.“
