I was, however, disappointed because 1) they ran out of the Miso Dumplings & 2) the Miso Salmon was seriously overcooked. “A friend recommended this place to me, so I decided to give it a try. It’s a small takeout spot and a little easy to miss from the road, but the Szechuan food is really authentic and tasty.

I ordered the mapo tofu and dan dan noodles, and both were excellent. The mapo tofu was flavorful and spicy with that nice numbing kick from the Szechuan peppercorns, and the tofu was really soft and soaked up the sauce well. The dan dan noodles were also really good—chewy, spicy, and full of flavor.

I ordered online for pickup and everything was ready right on time. I was able to park along the road, grab my food, and leave pretty quickly. Super convenient and definitely worth trying if you like authentic Szechuan food.“

“Oriental Kitchen is our family’s new favorite Chinese in Suffolk. We recently moved to the area and have been trying to find a decent New York style Chinese spot and last night we found one. Yay! The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered classics like beef broccoli, general tsos, veg dumplings, wonton soup and chicken wings. Wow!! I agree with the other reviews, you can taste the love they put it into the food. Vivian, the young lady at the counter was so warm and friendly. Please please keep the freshness and quality consistent as we will be ordering at least once a week moving forward. Go to Oriental Kitchen. You work regret it.“

“I love this place and the fact that they deliver. There is one other place we love but they don't deliver and now that I tried Yhum Yhum,. honestly, there's no turning back. We ordered for the first time like 2 weeks ago and since our kitchen is being remodeled and we cant use it have ordered like 3 times already lol. I always saw this place when my mom used to get hair cuts over there but never went and tried it- happy we decided to order and check it out. “This is one of the best old school takeout Chinese food places in Huntington. All of your favorites are cooked. Delicious the chicken and broccoli is amazing. A lot of their combinations are a good bang for a buck and the woman that works. There is very very nice and accommodating don’t judge a book by its cover don’t judge the front they push out some really good takeout Chinese food and they deliver. I’ve been ordering from here For the last 15 years. The dinner is priced reasonably a lot of selections and lunch special is $8.65 and comes with soda soup or an eggroll. You can’t beat that.“

“I actually found this spot in a pretty random but reliable way — I was watching Louis from Robke’s in Northport and he was sharing some of his favorite local restaurants. This Chinese place happened to be the closest one to my house from his list, so I figured it was worth trying.

I’m born and raised in East Northport, so I’ve tried pretty much every Chinese spot in the surrounding areas trying to find a go-to… and this one is easily my favorite now.

First off, the prices are shockingly fair. I checked the menu before going and that alone made me want to try it — it’s probably the most reasonably priced Chinese food I’ve seen around here. And it actually lives up to it. You can get a lunch special for under $8, or something like a quart of chicken and broccoli for around $12 and change, which is just rare to find now.

But the biggest thing is the quality. The chicken is actually good quality — not rubbery, not overly breaded, and not drowning in sauce. Everything tastes fresh, not soggy. The fried rice is genuinely some of the best I’ve had.

Also, every time I go, I order in person and the food is ready so quickly, which I love. And the staff are always really kind and welcoming — it just makes the whole experience better.

Overall, this place completely surprised me and has easily become my go-to for Chinese food.“

Great food and even the women behind the counter were great. She threw in some free wantons because we spent so much. I got the boneless pork and it is prepared differently than most places do. “I usually order takeout, but today I decided to dine in. The food was delicious! I wish they offered the General Tso’s tofu as a lunch special, but they’re very strict about not substituting it instead of the general tso chicken lunch special. So, I ended up paying the dinner price.

The spring rolls were crispy and tasty, and I love that they’re vegetarian. My daughter had the vegetable lomein..it was a little bit bland she said. She wasn’t a fan, but that’s okay, she’s a kid.

One thing I didn’t like was that they don’t offer soda refills. I’ll probably not order soda in the future because it’s about half a can of soda with the ice.
