“This Guatemalan bakery and restaurant was awesome!!! We tried their sweet bread just hot fresh out of the oven and it was as soft as cotton! Tortilla de harina was also 100+! “We were in Nyack to walk around before we headed back to BK and thought we'd stop for coffee and a pastry. I was hoping for a cappuccino but the machine looked like it was out of use so I got a black coffee -- not bad. What was great was the apple tart: lots of juicy apples, delicious crème patissiere, and a laminated crust. The pastries are HUGE -- the apple slice was more than enough for both of us. They have a small selection of macarons, which we didn't try, and a lot of other pastries (no eclairs, alas). Plus it seems to be a family owned business. I would definitely go back.“

“I picked up Blondery's S'mores Hot Chocolate and a cinnamon roll at the Beacon Farmers Market recently. OMG. The love that goes into their products is undeniable. Their cinnamon roll was everything good that makes up a cinnamon roll -- light, fresh, the perfect touch of cinnamon -- and THE ICING. I can't. Absolutely incredible. The only downfall was having to share with my daughter, whose eye about popped out of her head when she saw the deliciousness I was enjoying. “Came to Sander's to get some kosher baked goods for my coworkers. I really wanted to get some donuts, but it was too early in the morning, and they were still baking them. Ended up getting some rugelach that were fresh from the oven. The rugelach were a hit in the office. The staff really liked them. My coworker who was kosher really liked them too. A bunch of people just kept eating them throughout the day. The rugelach were delicious. The chocolate was good. The pastry wasn't too sweet. The vanilla ones were great too, but I really liked the chocolate ones the best. They have a dress code that they post in front of the store before you go in. Make sure you wear closed toe shoes, cover your knees, and shoulders. It shouldn't be a problem in the winter though. If you want some good baked goods, Sander's is a great option. If you're like me and wanting to pick up some kosher pastries, I would check which certification your friend/coworker accept as there are many they may or may not eat.“

That being said I love the empanadas at Los Andes are delicious. They have a good variety of other dishes as well.The establishment is tight so a visit with a group larger than 3 is not recommended. What i do recommend is taking a box of empanadas to go. They taste even better warmed up.Besides the empanada I had the fully loaded Chilean hot dog. The hot dog was a bit thin, but the combinations atop the hot dog were delicious. Also, they make a great cup of coffee.I make a trip to Los Andes every year for the Halloween parade with a sporadic viskt when I get a craving. “Let me start with I am not one to write reviews however this one is worth the occasion. It was an absolute pleasure working with Wildly Cakes to get a cake for my bridal shower. We had a traveling themed bridal shower and Wildly Cakes was able to make this beautiful world map on the side. But it doesn’t just end there the cake itself tasted delicious. We got a vanilla cake with cookie butter filling and all my guests ranted and raved on how good it was. We actually have our wedding cake being made by them too and we cannot wait to see and taste it especially after this great first impression.“

I called Allie's Bakery, and they had EXACTLY what I wanted! I ordered the cake, and my husband and daughter went to pick it up. When they got home, I was delighted to see that even though it was small, Allie's had neatly and carefully written Happy Birthday with my name across the top, and the whole family agreed it was delicious. We look forward to every market visit when we get to try their latest seasonal baked goods (they are all hits), and our pantry is always stocked with their jam.We love the jam so much, that for our wedding, we purchased 4 oz. jars of Birdie's Batch jelly as favors for our guests. Sara and Vinnie were beyond delightful to work with throughout that process, and the jelly was fantastic as always. Your coffee cup is always kept full and you never have to ask for a refill yourself. Some places you have to stand up and stare at your server for a refill but not at this location. Like I said, I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve never had a complaint. It’s usually busy on the weekends especially Sunday after church.
