“I've been coming to Glitter Thicket for years and still feel enchanted every time I visit! It's a charming cafe with a full menu of delicious sweet and savory vegan offerings, an art gallery showcasing local artists, a cozy gathering space where you can play trivia with strangers and feel like you've spent the evening with good friends. The owner is lovely and crafts the food and space with such care that you really feel like you've stumbled into somewhere quite special. Whether you are hungry for a BLT or breakfast sandwich (highly recommend), a cupcake or peanut butter cookie (can't leave without getting one), or inspiration for doing/making, wander into Glitter Thicket!Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan/plant-based!Dietary restrictions: So awesome to have legitimately good vegan options--and lots of them (the whole menu)!“
“Very cool spot near the Ossining train station, highly suggest you stop over, have a beer or 3, excellent selection. Coffee and service are excellent, very worth the trip.....ok the pic is of my cat Big Larry, not the shop, I'll update asap.“
“My experience with” Its coffee “ is unique to most small businesses as this one resonates and breeds happiness and peace , all the time you will experience a host who is filled with Spirituality and has background music that fills you with spiritual happiness . The coffee is her own brand and Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts has nothing on this place . I would highly recommend coming here and experience the atmosphere of holiness and great conversation ….“
“Flours tremendously stands out from your usual cafe. Not only can you stop in for a coffee (amongst other delicious drinks like a butterfly tea lemonade) and a sweet treat, you can buy a plethora of pastas and sauces to prep for dinner or the whole week! Sofia’s passion for quality sourced ingredients does not go unnoticed from the taste to the way you feel after you eat it. Flours is the only pasta I can eat that doesn’t make me lethargic or have a stomach ache after. I also have learned a lot about grains through their pasta. They have speciality pastas with grains such as rye, einkorn, and spelt which tastes delicious and nutritionally stands out from box pasta and other fresh pastas. Anywho, long story short, definitely make your way over to Flours! Go for the pasta and stay for the daily specials and baked goods. You will NOT regret it.“
“I have not yet been here in person, but had to rave about their coffee. Being a decaf drinker, it is not always easy to find delicious coffee. I happened to see this brand in my local supermarket, and, being a dog lover, decided to try their Maya decaf after reading the description. Oh my goodness, the most delicious coffee!! I am going to try to get to the store in person but in the meantime I highly recommend their coffee!“
“A small cafe that serves the newly built water front development. There is only few tables inside, but a nice outdoor seating area. We were pleasantly surprised by stumble upon this place by searching Google. The food was fantastic, we ordered a salmon dish which was cooked to perfection and a nice cheese burger with sweet potato fries. The portions were abundant, tasted delicious and reasonably priced. We really enjoyed it!“
“Friendly people, impeccable sandwich with razor thin bead and croquetas that were not too oily upon being fried. The sandwich was lean, not too salty and well balanced. Real work of art. Coffee was also caringly prepared to our specifications.Gracias de corazon“
“Ordered the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and asked to have it spicy with tater tots. Was a bit underwhelmed about the size of the sandwich and level of spiciness as well as the amount of tater tots given. I paid, including a $5 tip, roughly $23. The food was alright but feel it doesn't justify the price for the portion they gave me“
“My spouse and I stopped here randomly while making the drive from JFK back to Ithaca after a red eye flight, and we are so glad we did. We stumbled in just as they opened, but Chef Dave was so kind and welcoming, and he makes the *BEST* pastries and breads we have ever had—and I cannot put enough emphasis on "best" here—from any country we have ever been to. We took a chocolate-almond croissant and a blueberry turnover to go because we were too full for sweets after eating yummy frittatas for breakfast (the bread he uses for the toast is too good!), and even hours after getting them home, they were incredible: so flakey, moist, airy, the perfect amount of sweet, and bursting with flavor. We already can't wait to come back to try more of his creations. Seriously, do not sleep on this place if you are lucky enough to be in the area!“
“BEST coffee in Irvington!!! I'm there often for large orders to bring to work and Mike and Brittany are so patient, kind, and deeply care for their community. We always have such great conversation while they make my oat latte. So much love is put into what they do-- amazing coffee, incredible pastries, and do NOT sleep on that egg sandwich.“
“Came for breakfast with my teen daughter on a Saturday morning. It was packed and it was about a 40 min wait. The entryway is tiny. We ordered Nutella crepes for the kiddo and the Monte cristo sandwich for me. Both were very good. I also had a side of home fries. They were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Perfect. I also ordered a caramel iced coffee and it was way too sweet. I couldn't finish it. My daughter had a lemonade and it was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. Service was very good despite it being very crowded. Oh and the vanilla cupcakes with pink frosting were really good! Would come back.“
“As the rave reviews here confirm, I think this is one of the best eateries in the Rivertowns. Exceptional coffee (I have very high standards!), and this morning I had their scrumptious breakfast burrito, which is cooked from scratch to perfection. The staff is always kind and professional.“
“Heard about Ramona’s and passed right by it the first time. Ramona’s is set back from the road behind 1840. My wife had the buttermilk pancakes and they were cooked perfectly. She also added scrambledEggs which were also cooked to perfection. (You would be surprised how many cooks screw up scrambled eggs). I had the Cuban sandwich and was surprised that it was the BEST Cuban sandwich ever: better than little Cuba! True. Try it and you will be pleasantly rewarded with a perfect sandwich in taste and texture. Each time I go, I try something else’s on the menu and have never been disappointed!BTW,One morning on my way to NYC I decided to get an egg sandwich and tea. After ordering I went to my pocket only to find that I leftMy wallet And cash home! Chris, the chef, said “don’t worry about it” and gave me my food without paying. I went Back the next day to pay, and the Chef said “I really meant Don’t worry about paying.” They would not take my $. What a classy move. Not only is the food 5star for breakfast and lunch, but they have KIND hearts! Love this place in every way. (Although I do wish it wasLarger)“
“An incredible spot my great friend Omar took me too during my first trip to Nyak. This beautiful french-centric space has been very well curated by the owner. Excellent Croissant and even an Aperol Spritz option is available. The back tea room area has amazing oil paintings from 200 to 400 years old on the walls. I could sit and look at their brush stroke techniques for hours. I will be back and happy to enjoy all that Salonnière has to offer. Merci!“
“Walked into Piermont Bicycle Connection the other day and got to work with Sunny Quach. He is professional while also being personable, knowledgeable and very attentive. He was adept at finding ways to explain more technical aspects of the bike I was looking at in a way that helped me understand, which was extremely helpful. I ended up buying the Trek FX Sport 6 which is the biggest investment I’ve ever made in a bike. Even though Piermont Bicycle Connection is an hour from me, they earned a devoted customer in me because of the care and attention Sunny gave me. I will be back and will recommend to others. I highly recommend this shop. If you’re looking for a bike you’re in good hands with Sunny. I couldn’t be happier. Thank you Sunny. ?“

“I basically went there for their hot Cheetos elote after I saw pictures online. Apparently, they had that for a limited time. The host personally came up, spoke to us and said they don't have it as a standard item on the menu. But would like to make it for us. They came out looking and tasted delicious!!!! Everything was great; food, service, quality. They even served complementary dessert.“
“Cute small shop with street parking. The mochi donuts were excellent! I have yet to try their limited-time flavors but plan on doing so.Parking: There’s street parking but we came on a weekend and were able to park at the train station, a short walk away.“
“First time there I went with my motorcycle beautiful road to get there . Easy for parking . Great food and the workers were very nice .I dropped by mistake my cake after I ate food .They replaced for me with no charge that was very nice of them clearly was my fault.Definitely trying to go there every Sunday!Parking: Very easy to park for car/motorcycles“
“This place is sooo cute!! You can pick your own pastries and they will wrap them to go for you. Counter girl was so friendly individually wrapping our items and the donuts and pastries tastes great. They even had a creme brûlée donut which was so unique and tasty :)“
“They say never judge a book by its cover, well that couldn’t be more true for Lou’s Wagon (hot dog truck). On the surface, it’s a really small white box-truck that doesn’t appear to offer much. Rest assure, that is not the case. The food and service here was great. The two hotdogs with chili, cheese and cooked onions that I purchased were very tasty. The chili had just the right consistency and the cheese actually tasted like cheese. The bread wasn’t stale and the dogs didn’t taste like they’ve been sitting in boiled water for a week. The food was fresh. The lady running the hot dog truck was extremely welcoming, quick and courteous. For anyone looking for a quick bite and tasty hot dogs at a very affordable price compared to other food trucks I’ve stopped at, this spot is a winner. They also offer hot sausage, Dr. Browns soda, chips and cookies. The food spot is perfectly located right at the corner of an intersection just off 9A and Croton Dam Rd. Give them a try. You won’t regret it!“
“As a newbie in town, I have been looking for a healthy cozy place to get some work done. Sweet and savory has the perfect menu. Everything is made fresh and was delicious. As I sat in a booth I could hear the family greeting everyone by name when they came in. It was so nice to find a homey feel and great eats.“
“Came in between meetings on a rainy day and the vibe was spectacular. Phenomenal coffee, and thank you so much for having vegan pastries that are GOOD! The donut and scone don’t taste like they’re missing anything, they’re delicious. Great house-made flavor syrups, great music—you can’t go wrong here!Dietary restrictions: Vegan milk options, a vegan old fashioned donut, and at least when I went, a vegan cherry chocolate scone.“
“Such a cute coffee shop! They get BUSY... especially in October. I will attest to the fact that their drinks are very good and they have a nice variety of food items too. The whole cafe is very cozy and during non-peak tourist season it would be a fantastic place to meet up with a friend for lunch and a coffee!“
“I love everything about this place! The food is outstanding and the staff are amazing! Shout out to Christa, who is the soul of the place, and Cory, who goes above and beyond (crayons & paper for my little one). The cafe is a second home to me :-)“
“The welcoming atmosphere of the staff very inviting and wholesome great tasting breakfast the omelette with the feta and spinach with the home fries and side of rye is worth a 30 mile drive just to experience that old school cooking and taste that you can’t find everywhere the OG in the kitchen I bet he has been slinging hash browns way before google was a thing over all of your looking for the clean eating at an amazing price come hungry it’s good eating“
“We just stumbled onto this place and were SO happy with the lunch. I had avocado toast with poached eggs. Every ingredient was fresh and flavorful. You can tell the eggs were very fresh, the fresh spinach was not overdone and the sprouts were brilliant. I also had an apple tart that was just the right amount of sweetness and crunchiness; not overdoing the brown sugar topping. When in town; I plan to visit again.“
“Stopped in on a whim while spending the day in Peekskill. The owner welcomed me with a friendly smile :) I requested something to "cool me off" and he blended an amazing drink of beets, orange, ginger, carrot, and pineapple. Delicious!!! Not only did it cool me off, it gave me a boost of energy no cup of coffee could match. The place is cute and clean. It is clear the owner loves his business and takes pride in its offerings. The sweets look temping and fresh - I will indulge next time! Don't hesitate - this place is a jewel not to be missed“
“I love the Elks. Their events from the clambake in February, to the various fundraisers, to the joint events with Yorktown and Haverstraw lodges, to the golf outings, the nut clubs, the holiday parties and let's not forget all the wonderful birthdays! The lodge is such a wonderful place and if you are a local and love community spirit, volunteering, beer buddies and hanging out, I highly encourage you find a friend within the lodge and see if you can be nominated to join. Its been one of the best things thats happened to me.“
“I can’t say enough about the hospitality of the folks here! Ron, the fleet captain went the extra mile to get us a dock for our IP 370 sailboat, Vinny and his buddy helped us tie up and then even walked our boat from a bow in to a stern in, Mike the mechanic spent a lovely evening with us visiting, and so many others made us feel so welcome! Although the pool and restaurant/bar closed after Labor Day weekend, and there is no laundry facility, the marina has beautifully maintained quiet floating docks, a channel with 6-7 foot of depth high tide, and plenty of canopied areas to relax in. The restroom and showers are clean, spacious and well equipped. Grocery stores are a short ride away, and a number of members here offered rides. An added bonus: no nearby train tracks! After a few rough nights on the anchor, Cortlandt Yacht Club was the respite we needed before continuing our way south to the Bahamas. Thank you members! I highly recommend your facility.“
“Black Cat Cafe was awesome! Came in just as they were opening on a Sunday morning with my 2 year old. Service was great, and the person working was very accommodating of the young kid. Highly recommend getting breakfast here and then checking out the framers market just up the hill. Parent pro-tip, the Ivington location for the farmers market is right next to a playground.Kid-friendliness: I'm definitely calling this one kid friendly. They even had some toys on hand. Also, other patrons were not put off by the presence of a young kid.“
“We are so glad to be able to enjoy the talents of Chris D'Eletto again. We just had our family Christmas get together catered from Jack's Cafe. It was absolutely amazing with something for everyone. Whether you choose a weekend dinner or their catering, you can't go wrong.“
“I'd take a picture but we devoured it so quickly lol. The staff are friendly but in a genuine way. Best breakfast sandwich I've had in years (and I used to work as a cook for 8 years). Coffee was perfect. Great way to start off the day ?. 10 ? if “
“amazing place for Bkst Lunch or Dinner. We ate outside under a tent and had the BEST Quesadillas I have ever eaten! The people are so sweet too. The menu is extensive, but their salads are amazing! Give a newbie a break, you won't be sorry!“
