“My first time there, of course I didn’t know what to expect. The woman behind the counter let me know she’d be right with me since I had been waiting in line while she was busy preparing other’s food. I appreciated that. It’s obviously a family-run business and that’s very admirable. It was so cute seeing the little toddler daughter behind the counter interacting with her mother. Anyway the food was very tasty and the woman did not skimp on anything, not even the oxtails. The prices are on the high side, but the portion sizes are respectable considering that. For starters we shared the buttermilk fried chicken which was very satisfying and a good portion to share between 2 people. Our main meals were their old fields burger and squid ink linguine. Both meals were great and very tasteful. Service was very good, our waiter was very friendly and visited our table often to ensure everything was up to our liking. “Peter’s on the Green is a little hidden gem at the Bellport Country Club. My review is based on my wine which tasted a bit sour but this is coming from someone that is hard to please LOL. My sibling and I visited at the end of November 2023 for an afternoon lunch on a Saturday. Our meals came with a salad, mine was Greek and it was delicious. My brother got a chicken dino and I ordered an Uncle Peter (chicken, cheese, pasta…) and we shared a yummy dessert. We both took leftovers home and enjoyed them at a later time. I think the menu selection is great, location is gorgeous and the bathrooms could use an update. Overall, it’s a solid option for a nice lunch.“

My most recent was a repast after a funeral. When everyone is emotional, the last thing the family needs is problems with the food service. Well, in our case, more people showed up than were originally expected. The staff at Trio didn't miss a beat. They set up additional tables in a flash and quickly had the tables set. We had buffet style dining and the selection was outstanding, with something for everyone. From soup to nuts, everything was delicious. They had fish, beef, vegetarian selections and even offered coffee and dessert. (by the way, if I had known how good the desserts would've been, I might have eaten a little less dinner.)The service is impeccable, everything is clean and fresh, the linens and tablecloths were spotless.I'd like to add that Trio is on the grounds of the Holbrook Country Club. “Went here for the first time. I was immediately impressed by the fact that when I ordered a lamb gyro they cooked/heated up the meat along with the gyro flatbread on the grill. This way my sandwich was piping hot and tasted fresher than places that usally keep a hot tray for the meats and dish it out. Service was also friendly. I will be back!“
