“Rana Fifteen absolutely blew us away.

A few of us did the Rana Table brunch and we were not prepared. It’s a full family style feast and it just keeps coming. Borek, marinated beyaz cheese, kizartma, artichoke spread, Izmir pine honey with kaymak, soujuk, menemen… dish after dish of incredibly fresh, flavorful Aegean food. All for $35 a person. Unreal value.

Started with turkish bread (complementary) which was yum!

The Manti was the highlight for us. But the mezze platter and lamb kebab was no less - very tasty.

The dessert- instabul dreams was exceptional too but especially the warm atmosphere. Zainab and Elvan filled the place with warmth and fun conversation.

Would definitely come again just for the Manti“

We eat plant-based so opted for the baba ganoush appetizer and eggplant moussaka. The flavors were alive, wonderful, and deeply enjoyed.
The waiter was attentive and so kind!

They have a sweet outdoor garden space in the back but we enjoyed inside, with all the decor.

“Top tier Turkish food.
I have traveled to Istanbul and the food here matches the best that Taksim square has to offer.
I judge Trukish places by the Hummus - theirs is spot on - a hint of garlic and just the right tang from the citrus. A swirl of quality EVO and its good to go with their fresh out of the over Bazlama.
The Icli Kofte are to die for. Ground lamb and cracked wheat. Just amazing. If you cant decide ona main because you love lamb, chicken and lamb, the mixed grill is a sure bet.
Im not a big sweets guy but i enjoyed the Kunefe with a properly made Turkish coffee.
All round a great experience. The staff is friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu.
Definitely worth the trip.“

“Afiyet in Cliffside Park is, unfortunately, a complete disaster for anyone trying to pretend good food no longer exists. The authentic Turkish cooking here is so outrageously good that it makes ordinary restaurant meals feel like cafeteria mistakes. Every dish tastes like it was made by someone who actually cares about flavor, tradition, and the radical concept of seasoning food properly. The meats are perfectly cooked, the breads taste like they were sent down from a higher power, and everything has that unmistakable homemade, authentic quality that ruins lesser restaurants forever.

The staff and owner are also wildly inconvenient in the sense that they are too friendly. Instead of the usual cold, robotic service you expect these days, they are warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely happy to have you there. It is almost exhausting being treated that well. You walk in expecting dinner and leave feeling like you were adopted by a very talented Turkish family.

And to make matters worse, parking is easy. No heroic search. No parallel parking Olympics. No circling the block questioning your life choices. You just show up, park, and enjoy one of the best meals around like that is somehow allowed.

Afiyet is the kind of place that completely ruins your standards. Amazing food, authentic cooking, wonderful people, and easy parking. Really inconsiderate of them to set the bar this high for everyone else.“

“Always fresh and delicious food options including Vegetarian choices. Chef Omer combines Turkish food specialties with Classical American street food. They have Gozleme (Turkish Pancake) with Cheese, Potato or Spinach, amazing grilled fresh fish, chicken gyro, falafel, tacos… Even Turkish Tea. Thank you for bringing this wonderful menu to us.

The food also arrived quickly, my servers Suzanne and Abror were very attentive and welcoming my entire stay - I had little issue communicating with them as a deaf patron. “We either ordered the wrong things or it was an off night for this restaurant because our experience was nothing like what other reviewers say. Restaurant was so noisy that we had to shout to our table companions all evening. The imam bayaldi was oversalted and underflavored and pine nuts doled out as if they were diamonds. The shrimp was hard, dry, overcooked, oversalted and flavorless sitting on a bed of gloppy watery tomatoes. Half the lamb kabobs were ok and half were nothing but gristle. Servers were very pleasant, and helpful with wine selection but the wait for our dishes seemed interminable. What was good -- very good --the rice with the lamb kabobs, the rice pudding and the coffee. But too much money for bad (sorry, but that's what it was) food. As I said, maybe we ordered the wrong dishes or maybe it was just an off night.“
