“Don't let the outside fool you! It's one of the most immaculate, neat, homey, cozy, and charming restaurants I've ever been to in my life. Seriously. I'm glad I let my husband convince me to try it. Tastefully decorated, TV's playing Youtube scenery videos with nice music, a pool table room, a fireplace going. Even a glimpse at the immaculate kitchen shocked me. The food was great. I had a fish fry. Most places give bland fries: theirs was seasoned and so addicting. The burger my husband got tasted quality. For all those people who complained they couldn't get seated because they bring a bunch of people...look around. It's small. It's cozy. It's a small business in an even smaller town, not a big chain that can handle unexpected groups. It's obvious that the couple who own this place care about all the little details that frankly, most restaurants skimp on, so we're giving them more than 5 stars. We're coming back, without a doubt.“

“The food is phenomenal! Fish fry is to die for, from the fresh haddock to the creamy tartar sauce and the amazing coleslaw, everything is delicious!! Their chicken fajitas are so amazing, they serve their fajitas with an amazing lime crema and a flavorful chipotle barbecue sauce, and it's all a flavor rush and on point!! Definitely recommend Johnny's kitchen for a true flavor experience !!“

“My husband and I were out working in the area far from home. This area doesn't have much, then when we found Rylee's Place! Went in, were immediately greeted and helped. The food is great, came out in speedy time, AND Rylee makes the muffins!! How cute . Definitely coming back when I'm in the area again. Very friendly staff as well!“

“If you’ve seen the movie “The Menu” this is the Seneca Lake equivalent however without the tragic ending. Watch the movie then go to this place because the food is phenomenal, maybe you’ll see the connection. In all seriousness great place to eat, recommend reservations in advance, if you love German cuisine this is a must while in the Lake Seneca region. Indoor and outdoor seating, it’s just a fantastic place and would tell anyone to go and give it a rip for the experience and food.“

“Amazing food made with all fresh local ingredients, and amazing service, the owners are extremely welcoming and friendly, as were all the staff. Great vibe and drinks as well. It was so good that we went there for a very delicious brunch and back again that evening for an incredible charcuterie, wine, and maybe the best dessert of my life. Cannot wait to go back!“

“This is a fabulous small town diner. We came here the weekend of the solar eclipse. A lot of other people did, too. We were staying in the finger lakes area (between Seneca and Cayuga) and were looking to get breakfast without having to go into Corning or Ithaca. Because it was a Monday, most of the other breakfast places around the finger lakes were closed (and there are only a few). This is definitely a small town family diner. We knew that the food might take a little while. It was also a Monday so they were understaffed compared to the crowds that came for the eclipse (every table was full). On a normal Monday, they would have been staffed appropriately. As such, our food took a little longer than we expected. That said, it was worth the wait. When our food arrived, everyone's meal was hot and very tasty. I got a sausage and pepper omelet with homefries and my husband had French toast. We also ordered a single pancake for our toddler, which she LOVED. It was light and fluffy and she ate more of it than I've ever seen her eat of a pancake (win!).Our meal was perfect and kept us full for several hours, which was great as we were headed for a small hike in Watkins Glen and appreciated the fuel. All in all we would go here again. It was appropriately priced and was nice to find such tasty food and friendly service so close to the lakes and away from the congestion of the bigger cities. It was also a good environment for our toddler.Parking: Free street parking. The strip in town is pretty small, but there is parking on both sides for about 2 blocks in either direction and then across the way. We had a trailer behind our truck and got really lucky in that there were 2 sections that were easy to accommodate street parking by just pulling along the side of the road. This was perfect since we wanted to have sit down breakfast but didn't want to have to stress about parking the trailer in a big downtown.Kid-friendliness: We had a toddler with us! They don't have crayons but they are very friendly and didn't mind us having her sit in her stroller right next to the table. No kids' menu but you can order a single pancake or other single sides which was perfect for what we needed. They were also very welcoming and we didn't feel like we were rushed at all.“

“Came here for lunch on Wednesday and had the buffalo chicken wrap. It had a more sweet flavor then what I am used to with buffalo chicken but it was still so delicious and good. I got it with ranch on the inside instead of blue cheese. And I got fries as well. Very impressed and I would recommend and come back another time.“

“Very good food! Some in our group had the prime rib, which was excellent. I had the special that night which was brisket, half rack if ribs, fries, coleslaw and baked beans, very good! We were seated and served promptly A few in our group had wings. Each order was a dozen, large wings. They even let us split each order into 2 sauces. Liberty has won the Penn Yan Wing Walk, two years in a roe with good reason. Incredible wings!“

“What a gem of a restaurant. Outstanding food and exceptional service from Ruby.Nice decor that was warm and intimate. There is a bar area and a large indoor seating area. There were so many choices on the menu but we decided to go with the specials. I selected the burnt brisket ends with mac & cheese and pickled veggies. Karen went with the flank steak and scallops. We both loved our dinner, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. If you are looking for fine dining with fresh ingredients, then this place is for you.I do recommend making a reservation. You wouldn't want to miss out.“

“Really neat vibes. All the workers seemed super friendly. They have lots of veggie and gluten free options which is so cool. My buddy got a fried culliflower wrap and said it was delightful. I got a huge veggie omelet that was to die for.The acoustics in the little place could be hard for a kid or someone with sensory issues to deal with as it does get loud in there when busy. But it is so cute and really delicious so if you can over look that I would recommend this if you are that way. :)))“

“Although the restaurant was busy today we were seated, waited on, and served in a reasonably amount of time. The food was good and the wait staff was friendly and accommodating, especially since we wanted a window table that had not been bussed yet.“

“Hubby and I stopped here for dinner last night ( 2/18/23). We had the sweetest waitress ever! She also made the best Dirty martinis!! The food was freshly made and so good! We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area! We loved learning the history of the area as well! Thank you so very much!“
