“I came in on Sunday and ordered the apple pie Belgium waffle and it was amazing! I'm not even a big fan of waffles, but this was off the hook. Truly delicious and by far the best I ever had! The bartender was super cool and the other staff were friendly. I think this will be my new Sunday morning go to place. I highly recommend trying it out ?“

“We always enjoy ourselves here. The food and beer selection is wide, so there's a bit of something for everyone. I'm doing dry February, and they had a terrific NA beer from Athletic! My vegetarian friend enjoyed the cauliflower wings. We accommodated a group of 10 on the fly (had unexpected extras), and the staff was ok with us putting tables together. Another nice table of guests even agreed to switch tables with our large group. It just shows that the people here, both patrons and employees, are into the friendly vibe.“

“I absolutely loved this diner, the food was undeniably delicious, the service was amazing and warming, and the atmosphere felt really comfortable. The workers were really amazing and were great with providing things you needed or wanted (I had some toast with breakfast and they asked what flavor of jelly I like, they were amazing and provided my favorite jelly). If you’re in the area I definitely would recommend that you visit it to give the worker and diner the love and support it needs.To those who worked today in the diner, thank you very much for the amazing food and service. “Stopped for a quick breakfast on our way back south to NC. My eggs were perfectly cooked, huge pancakes and extra crispy sausage patty as requested. Delicious hot fresh coffee too!Glad we spotted your sign up on Rt. 79!Will definitely stop again.“

“I wish I had come here sooner! Star is friendly and welcoming. Food was amazing. I had the Delmonico steak with the Gorgonzola Compound Butter and it was cooked to order and tasted great. The scallops appetizer was soft and full of flavor with the Au Gratin sauce! All around great experience and will be back again.“

“A great bar, decently busy. Everyone pretty much knows each other there. I believe every Saturday there is a 9 ball tournament. The interior is pretty good, hall way to the bathroom is on an incline so do be careful if you are drinking because you could stumble and fall if you are intoxicated enough. There are two tvs in the bar, hosted the duke and north carolina game recently. The bartender wasn't really friendly she looked like she didn't want to be there, complaining with and attitude but didn't bother me much. Pretty decent bar in the area.“

“The owners are friendly, personable people that will get to know you (and your order!) quick. They have breakfast sandwiches, a wide variety of cookies, cupcakes, and ice cream in the warmer months. They do catering with cakes and the like, as well. It's a small place with not much seating, but you don't really need it if you're on the go. My go-to is a sausage, egg & cheese with a hashbrown on a plain bagel, a diet Dr. P, and a cookie (aka the Student Special for $9-10). They also offer day-olds for $1, a real steal. Support a local Cortland business and go get some Frosted!“

“Stopped here on the way to the eclipse in Upstate NY. The food took a little long to come, but the waitress apologized and told us that it was much busier than usual (probably other eclipse seekers). The many Hollywood pics and Marilyn statue were a nice touch. The food was very good although a little pricey for the pasta and broccoli that my wife got (I think $15). I got the haddock sandwich. I would recommend it.“

“Amazing restaurant! 2 day trip in the area and couldn't help but eat dinner there a second time after the first night. They were busy both night but very accommodating. Owner/manager heard my name once and called me by it the entire evening, even remembered the second night! Could not recommend a place more. Amazing food, amazing staff.“

“Stopped by when I was passing through Cortland. It's a cool dive bar. Drinks in solo cups, a juke box, and a dart board. I did not eat here so I cannot comment on the quality of the food. The liquor selection was solid and the bartenders were friendly.“

“A very cute sit down diner with great family vibes. The food is hearty and fresh and at a very good price, I wish I lived closer because it would be a frequent stop for a late breakfast. Also they have coloring books and crayons which is always the best“

“Excellent food, excellent service. It was busy when we sat and we left alone (we both like that when at a new place). I had the Cajun and tiger wings. Cajun wings where perfectly done, but just a little too salty for my liking (only negative about the meal). Tiger wings we're just amazing with chilli with pineapple glaze. Prime rib was perfect.“

“Back in my hometown, I used to go to Friendly's with my grandparents and my cousins almost every week, but the Friendly's closed down was I was around 9. So, to say I was excited to see a Friendly's here when I started attending Cortland would be an understatement. The food is extremely nostalgic for me and always manages to make me reminisce on my childhood“

“Food was really good and came in a reasonable time for you to talk to family or friends. Servers were very kind and welcoming. There was a bit of a wait time and restaurant was a little packed but makes sense bc it's prob one of the beat places in Cortland. Atmosphere was really chill and the lights def added to the vibe with the live sports for you to watch right from your table.“

“The new French toast platter was absolutely amazing, we enjoyed the banana walnut and the chocolate covered strawberry French toast. The only disappointment I had was there was too much chocolate not enough strawberry. Otherwise very delicious, sorry no pictures as I was too into the food to stop to snap a picture“
