“ok ok, I was driving through Clarence and searched coffee near me, amongst the usual spots, Prominent popped up. I love not so corporate coffee shops so I decided to give it a shot. To be honest, I didn't run inside to pick-up my two iced lattes, my husband did. He said the inside was warm, quaint & clean. I pre-ordered an iced maple latte with oatmilk and an iced brown sugar oatmilk latte. I was intrigued by the way the website says that the espresso is brewed THROUGH the brown sugar rather than using a syrup to flavor it. It is absolutely delicious. Rich and smooth flavor. The iced maple latte *baristas kiss* is not sweet at all, which is a good thing. Sometimes maple drinks taste syrupy and fake but this one is perfect 👌 I'll definitely swing by here again 10/10“

“The Tea Leaf Cafe is my favorite place to get boba.

I should note that this fact in and of itself isn't particularly impressive. I've only been to a few other boba places, and the only other place that I know the name and location of had some issues with the freshness of the foodstuffs they offered. So this place had a very low bar to clear.

That said, it cleared that bar pretty comfortably. The tea itself is good. I have no complaints about it, but also I haven't really encountered a place that does boba wrong, so it doesn't get many points for this. Where this place excels is in its atmosphere. There are black faux leather couches that you can sit on. There are tables along the side where UB students are writing their anthropology essays on their laptops. There's a bookshelf in the far corner with books that are free to take and leaf through, and board games left behind by the city's go club, which meets there every Thursday evening. There's always an interesting playlist/station on in the background, but it's rarely the same. Sometimes it's reggae, sometimes it's jazz, sometimes it's a sort of easy-listening form of pop, sometimes it's indie folk. I can't guarantee that you'll like what you hear, but I think you're always going to be okay with it.

I will levy two minor complaints, neither of which are enough to drop my rating down below 5 stars. The first is that the front door needs to be fixed somehow. The inner door doesn't automatically close, which makes the temperature buffer antechamber lose its functional purpose, and it causes the inside of the place to get a bit chilly on colder nights.

My second complaint is that the night time lighting is a little too dim for my tastes, and I imagine for the tastes of anyone who isn't there with the intention of taking a nap. The walls and ceiling of the place are already painted a dark color, so the choice of lighting makes the place pick up a bit of a cellar vibe more than a cafe vibe, and I sometimes feel my brain working more slowly than usual because of it.

But those two minor issues aside, I'm quite pleased with this place's atmosphere, staff, seating arrangements, and quality and availability of tea. Definitely check it out if you're up for some bubble tea.“

“Been a regular since day 1 at the original location. Great food, great people and great location. Was in there this weekend and they were busy and the staff crushes it so it doesn’t even feel busy. Well done!“

“I used to love their Spicy Tuna Wrap. It changed this past year. They used to put a lot more tuna but now it is almost veggie sandwich with a cheese. I tried a couple times thinking maybe the person who prepared couldn’t make good but no! They changed it and today was my last visit to spot coffee!“

“My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our first visit there today. They have some excellent wines and craft beers, and our charcuterie plate was perfect. Prices are very reasonable and the service (Devin) was top notch. There were a lot of nice people there enjoying the books and one another's company. Highly recommend!“

“Dessert was great like always, people say the price is high, but I believe you do get what you pay for here, The Sundays are huge and very well made. Only issue I have is $5.25 for a glass of milk and it was 2/3 the way filled! Come on guys. I'll pay the steep cost for the dessert but fill my milk glass atleast, especially when I'm paying over $5 a gallon of milk is 3 bucks 🙄“

“The 2 men working the drive thru window today (4/27/24 at 11:50am) were extremely kind. There were ducks next to the window that my daughter in the car was waving to, the gentleman working noticed and he came to the window with safe snacks to feed the ducks that my daughter would be able to give them. Now for a 7 year old… that brightened her whole day! They were fast, food was excellent, and the customer service was a 10/10! This location is the best!!“

“I know that there’s a lot of places in Lancaster to choose for your morning breakfast, but can I suggest Pallet Cafe?! I have been to every small café in the area and this place blew me away! I got the Teddy Graham iced coffee, and the Caprese avocado toast. Absolutely incredible. The coffee actually tasted like the description and the Caprese avocado toast was delicious and so flavorful! This has by far been my favorite (& cheapest) breakfast spot! It’s also so cozy in there and reminds me of going to eat at my Mimi’s house. I don’t know the owners, they didn’t tell me to post this. I just want them to get the recognition that they deserve. 🫶🏻“

“I always have awesome service at the Starbucks in Target. The barista helped me pick between a holiday option of the Frankenccino or the Frappula. I chose the Frappula and it was amazing and he pre-apologized that it would take a little longer because he had to make the strawberry purée but it was not long at all and it was well worth the wait. “Never had a problem here with service or the taste! I come here a lot in the morning for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. The donuts and some other foods on the menu are kinda mediocre, but other than that everything tastes great. I’m not sure why this place doesn’t have a higher rating. “The girls who work at this Starbucks are super sweet and very friendly!! They always go above and beyond to make conversations with the customers, and overall deliver amazing service. The only downside of this location is that the seating arrangement is a little awkward with the traffic of people coming into Target. It would be nice if it felt a little more secluded, but I understand that there is only so much you can do with that space. Regardless, I’ve had many great experiences at this location!“

“Friendliest staff I have encountered ANYWHERE in the last year. Went through the drive-thru, we had questions about the new winter drinks and snacks. Woman on headset taking the order was kind, patient and knowledgeable (I think she had brown hair, slender and glasses- we saw someone with a headset taking orders when we pulled up to the window and I think she waved when we got to the window. But could have been changing/ removing gloves. May or may not be the person who took our order) They were busy for lunch time but didn’t make me feel rushed. At the window, a different woman, (short, glasses and short blonde/platinum hair) was so kind and friendly. Talked to us briefly while the last drink was being made and told me how much she really enjoys the new ginger bread chai latte. Honestly, just a ray of sunshine. To the woman on the headset that recommended the new hot cocoa muffin, it was amazing and we will be back! I’m so glad we got 2 instead of one! Thank you for the exceptional service at this location. We will make the trip to this location instead of the one near our house because of the service, care and patience you provided today. I hope your managers see this and you get the recognition you deserve. I would hire you both in a minute at the restaurant I manage.“

“Good coffee but they need better deals. McDonalds across the street does 1.79 Large Ice Coffee. Capitalism means competing not living in price denial and charging $3 for the same product. You'd think Tim Hortons would be more aware that they are losing a price war and profit as coffee costs 50 cents a cup with labor included.“
