“I took my family to la riserva last week. We had an amazing dinner. My girls loved the pasta fagioli!!! They also enjoyed their meals; pasta with marinara and the chicken parmigiana with green beans. My husband and I equally enjoyed our meals. The service was great. Our waitress was knowledgeable and everything came out in a timely manner. I will definitely recommend la riserva to my friends.“

“Reno’s is a hidden gem in Yonkers. We recently celebrated my mother in law’s 90th there with about 30 plus people and we couldn’t have had a better day. “I have not found many Chinese restaurants beyond Chinatown that's considered close to being called good until I tried this one. I only ever ordered delivery because my brother is living at a Senior Rehabilitation center on W190 st. I was surprised to find the Chicken and Broccoli not drenched in oil or overcooked! It's not salty or full of MSG like other typical Take outs. Everything I ordered showed a true experienced cook. No lumpy gelatinous "gravy" although I always make it a point to ask for little gravy and they actually followed my request! I don't ever judge a Chinese restaurant by its decor. Some of the BEST ethnic foods I've had, we less than inviting. I get why they do not bother w the "atmosphere" but focused on good food. I get that it would be nice to be able to enjoy going there if you are a long time patron but I used to love a place called Peking Duck in Chinatown until they moved to a new space and changed to an upscale look and soon the food was not at all the same. Perhaps the chef left but I still missed the dishes they used to make to perfection. So don't fix what's not broken. If this is the only Chinese restaurant near you count your lucky stars bc they do authentic Chinese cooking.“

“My last visit to Elsa La Reina del Chicharrón was nothing short of amazing. Elsa truly lives up to her name the queen of chicharrón! perfectly seasoned pork, and the flavor doesn’t disappoint. The chicharrón was crispy, juicy, and full of that authentic sazón that’s hard to find anywhere else in the city.

You can tell everything is made with love and pride. The service was friendly, fast, and made me feel like family. If you’re in New York and haven’t been to Elsa yet, you’re seriously missing out. She’s simply the best nobody does it like Elsa!“

“Quick takeout of Wonton Soup and Kung Pao Chicken. Wontons were fresh and the soup base was clean and tasty. The Kung Pao Chicken was a nice sliced chicken and the sauce had a good consistency and level of spice. Brown rice seemed fresh as well. Service is quick, parking right in front. Cash only.“

“My goto for Chinese and Japanese take out in Throggs Neck. Their food, drinks and noodles with duck sauce reminds me of the old Hawaii Sea on Tremont. I always order from them and I am never disappointed. But this review is not for the great food but for them going above and beyond to please a customer. A friend of mine caught a fresh yellow fin tuna and I wanted to make my own sushi. They sold me their sushi rice which is awesome and included all the condiments I needed to make the meal with my family a success. I also purchased some shumai cuz theirs are the bomb. Thanks to the awesome staff for helping me make it all possible and suggesting what saki from the liquor store next door to make my authentic Japanese meal at home. Most places would be stand offish but they actually applauded me and asked me to show them pictures when I came back. So I’m gonna do one better and write this awesome review and post the pics from my meal here ❤️🫵🏼💚🐲“

I tried the short rib ramen and boy was it good! The rib was tender and packed with flavor, I only wish there were more pieces. Everything was flavorful from the broth to the veges. I also ordered a side of yaki pulled pork which was really, really good! I cant wait to oder another again. Ubereats recommended and I'm well satisfied!“

“The gentleman working the counter moved quickly and efficiently, while being friendly and listening to my order. I also love that he did not skimp on the portions (unlike chipotle where they are so cheap and I have to request they scoop a little more, and then they seem bothered) which is very helpful as I also ordered for my 2 growing sons (who eat a lot), and we all left full and satisfied. Unfortunately there are not many Qdoba locations in NYC, but this one definitely lives up to the standards and food I’ve eaten at other locations outside of the city and I will be returning.“

“This was my first visit. I was not there for dinner, I visited after dinner time. I went to get something to have for lunch the next day. I ordered the Egg Foo Young, it was EXCELLENT. Believe it or not the food was great the next day. So, just imagine how good it would have been pipping hot the same night. The place is drab looking but i'll take that over a fabulously decorated restaurant with drab food.“

“The Parrot Restaurant in Yonkers is one of the best Spanish restaurants in the area. They offer amazing family meals at unbelievable prices. Unlike others, their food is incredibly fresh. For example, even the white rice tastes like it was made the same day. The beans are very well-seasoned, and when you order the bean stew, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find carrots and potatoes—ingredients often overlooked at many Spanish restaurants.

Their empanadas are made to order, meaning they don't sit under a heat lamp; they are freshly prepared when you order them. The freshness and quality of their food are truly unmatched. Additionally, the variety of dishes they offer ensures that there is something for everyone, whether you are a meat lover or a vegetarian.

All in all, this is definitely a go-to spot for good quality food at great prices. Last but not least, the staff is wonderful, including the guys who do the deliveries. “Seriously everyone knows that you can't order ackee and saltfish from just anywhere. I even did doordash. The food was as if they served me from the pot . The sweetest bananas on the side . Not salty and so much flavor. fresh fresh fresh . I had to call and thank them . my morning was going bad until I ate my lovely breakfast. even though they didn't see me they sent my food with love. the plate was packed too . so full , saving the rest for lunch“
