“Being a lover of barbecue, this place did not disappoint me; decent size portions on the 3 meat plate and at an excellent price, the ribs, pulled pork & sausage were all good so now I have to go back for the brisket & chicken; loved the baked beans & the sweet potato mash with pecans made for good sides! I definitely recommend & like MacArthur…..I shall return!!!!“

“Wanted to highlight our server, David, for a nearly perfect experience. The quality of the food is impeccable. The attention of the staff and the cleanliness of the space, all 5 stars.

However, overall, there is one flaw, and for that one ⭐ is withheld.

My party selected AYCE D because we wanted to have the best experience and value possible. Unfortunately, for $150, not yet including tax and tip, you don't get anything fun to drink and desserts are not included. IMO, this makes D egregiously overpriced for the casual diner. I recommend C or lower for most folks who are just looking to enjoy the experience, unless you are a registered human compactor for wagyu biomass, then D is the correct pick.

I feel that to justify $150, the establishment should include at least 1 drink and 1 dessert to really maximize value for the diners.

“Came here with family for a causal dinner. We were surprised how generous the portions of the dishes were and they were all reasonably priced. On top of it, all the dishes were pretty tasty and reminded me of the flavors from my childhood. The owner and waiters were friendly and made sure the dishes came out fast as we have small children with us. Definitely recommend this place, it is a neighborhood gem.“

“Incredible food, the wings were amazing I got the jerk sauce bbq glaze with mac and cheese it was perfectly grilled slightly charred the way I like it, amazing mac and cheese that had a hint of Cajun flavor and a Buffalo NY style blue cheese with celery at least it seemed Buffalo style from what I’ve had before. The price was way cheaper than I expected the staff was really nice to me and police and checked up on me twice, and didn’t take long to do that either. 5 stars from me I’m going back tomorrow and I don’t even live in Brooklyn, I gotta bring my gf and my friends here. You can choose from the 12.95 dollar bowl at lunchtime, two protein, two side, and two pickles. It is close to the fence station, so it is convenient to go on a train after lunch. “BK location is more pleasant than KTown Manhattan. Clean tables and fries to order. Had delicious boneless tenders in honey garlic sauce and the order came quickly and the skin was crunchy and light. I’d definitely prefer this location to Manhattan because the food is made to order vs KTown had pre-made takeaway.

Plus if you want to listen to non-stop kpop while watching Brooklyn foot traffic from the window, this spot is for you.

It also looks like you can get delivery. There was a constant string of delivery bikers in and out of the location.“

“I recently visited Shashlik House in Downtown Brooklyn, and it was a fantastic experience! This place is known for its authentic Uzbekistani food, and it did not disappoint. I had the Samsa, Lamb Tenderloin, Tandir Bread, Lula Kebab, and Tarhun, and every dish was bursting with rich, flavorful spices. The lamb tenderloin was especially tender and juicy, and the warm Tandir bread was perfect for pairing with the skewers.

The staff were very courteous and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The atmosphere was vibrant with great music that added to the overall experience. If you’re looking to try some authentic Uzbekistani cuisine, Shashlik House is definitely the place to go. I’ll definitely be back soon!“

We were in town helping another G-FORCE location with an Amazon project, so naturally, we took a break to explore the local food scene. First Impressions: We kicked off with the Deviled Eggs – the jalapeño added a nice little kick while the bacon... well, it was bacon – crispy and delicious. Next up were the House Pickles – sweet, vinegary, and unexpectedly tasty. Who knew pickles could be this good? The Mains: Harry went with the Pulled Pork – packed with flavor, moist, and paired with an excellent sauce. The Potato Salad stood out with just the right-sized chunks, and the Cornbread? Perfectly crispy on the outside. Steve opted for the BBQ Chicken – tender and juicy, coated with that same outstanding house sauce. And the Kielbasa? This place might not be Polish, but they nailed it – full of flavor and definitely a surprise hit! Everything was Very fresh and I give it a five stars. however I felt the service was a bit rushed and felt like they just wanted to turn a table.
