“Cabana in Forest Hills has that lively, island vibe — upbeat music, friendly service, and food that feels like a mini getaway. I ordered the chuleta de cerdo (pork chops) with rice, black beans, and tostones. The sides were delicious — and lucky me, the tostones came with a garlic dip, which I happily used to give my pork chops the extra kick they needed 😉. I was hoping for a bit more Dominican-style flavor from the pork, but overall, a solid spot for good vibes and Latin comfort food done right.“

“Will the food blow you away? No (besides the street corn which is fantastic). And it’s not cheap either. BUT, the vibes are unmatched. My parents used to take me here when I was a kid and there’s just no better place for a summer lunch out with family or friends.“

“I ate at this restaurant during my Christmas vacation visit to New York. It is fantastic! The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is so tasty. It was better than the big advertised restaurants. If you want a real delicious meal and some great music while you eat, go to this place. It's a hidden gem.“

“My ethnicity is Cuban American and this restaurant checked off all the boxes for me.
I ordered the Oxtail which they served me 4 large pieces that were very flavorful and tender.
Yucca fries were nice and crunchy , I requested a small bowl of Cuban mojo to dip my yucca fries.
The white rice and black beans were very good.

“We were visiting Bryant Park and decided to stop in for a meal. We are SO glad that we did! The food was absolutely amazing. We tried a little bit of everything, and it was all delicious. The fusion of Cuban and Chinese cuisine was like nothing we had ever tasted before. Everything was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The three things that really stood out were the Stir Fry Cashew Cauliflower (We could make a meal of that alone!), the Cuban Fried Rice, and the Cubano Spring Rolls. We also loved the easy-going atmosphere and our waiter, Jordan, was tremendous. He catered to our every request and helped us to navigate the menu. We would also recommend the Sangria. It was exceptional and a lifesaver after a busy day! Whether local, or visiting the city, Calle Dao is a must!“

“We had a great time here for my brother's birthday. Went at 6 on a Saturday and wasn't too crowded so food came out quickly and everyone was satisfied. I had the steak nachos and a mango mojito. Both were good! The decor is so nice. Would like to go again while the bands are playing.“

“I gave Kuba 3 stars overall: My husband and friends thought their paella was very good, but my rabo encendido was disappointing. Not particularly flavorful. One large bone, three little bones, no vegetables at all. The live music was very loud, which some people probably loved, but it made it impossible to talk to my friends or hear the server.“

“I found this place through instagram and went in person had the sweet chilli wings and two empanadas, amazing! Loved it. Not a fan of the yuca fries they were a bit on the dry side but its always a hit or miss when it comes to Yuca / Yuca fries. The atmosphere was amazing, super clean place seems like a small family business loved seeing that. Truly recommend.“

“The mojo pork with moro rice was delicious, and I highly recommend it. I also ordered a guava and cheese empanada and got a beef one in my order instead. It was fine, but it wasn't what I really wanted. Word to the wise: pass on the tres leches. It's a flavorless cake with the wrong texture swimming in a pool of evaporated milk. The taste is wrong, the texture is wrong, and two of the three milks are missing.“

“I was amazed by "squid rice with shrimp". It's cooked with squid ink. There is no fishy taste at all but all the goodie including red pepper, green pepper oinion, pea and of course squid and shrimp. The drink is amazing. Be careful, they are very very strong! Owners and servers are super friendly as well.“

“Great food and great service. The food reminds me of home and is reasonably priced. We keep coming back for the ox tail stew, ribs, beef steak, porkchops, dumplings and the boneless chicharonnes de pollo. Most meals are served with white or yellow rice and beans or vegetables. If you want to try something different, they have the beef liver and squid ink fried rice which remind me of squid ink Paella. The combination meals are a great option to try out different dishes. The staff and owners always greet you with a warm welcome.“

“Great service everyone is friendly and quick. Food is delicious, the cuban sandwiches and empanadas are worth the visit. They also have affordable combos that fill you up for the day I often skip dinner after eating lunch here. Atmosphere is ok, they have cool cuban posters and cigar boxes on the wall but the seating area is just ok kinda reminds me of cafeteria style tables and chairs. Overall this is a great lunch spot.“

Only with the Falsa advertisement of romantic music this Sunday at 7:30 my reservation was for 645 dinner for live music at 7:30 which one person showed up with the equipment. It was 9:30 PM and still waiting for the music to start on a Sunday night. Finally got up to leave but went up to the musician and told him that it’s was a lack of respect that, even though they were not many people there they still advertised that they were going to play while they were sitting around on the lounge area, not respecting that there were a few people there waiting for them to play as they were told that was starting at 7:30 Very disrespectful from their part so don’t go on Sunday When they say they have live music at 7:30, which is not gonna happen if it’s not a full place, so Forget a romantic evening on a Sunfay evening with this band oh they also said the singer has not arrived it was 9:45 when we left and they close at 11pm
Shame on them 😡

“Delicious fresh food. Have only gotten delivery so far. Tried the Pork, beef stew and grilled chicken breast. All moist and well seasoned. Very flavorful. Good portions. Love the white bean and avocado side especially. Delicious empanadas as well!“

“I was Making a delivery to a nearby restaurant and I noticed Jennifers cafe . All I can say is WOW! . Great food. Chef makes you laugh and makes you feel like family . The lemonade and ice tea are great. Also ordered a crispy pork sandwich and it was delicious . Highly recommend.“

“This is a local Chinese/Peruvian food restaurant that gives new meaning to Chinese food! This fusion of flavors is amazing! I’ve had the steak with tostones, their chicharrón de pollo & many other delectable dishes. They also have a nice bar & make excellent Pisco sours which I can’t find in too many places! I live in Rockland County & the hubby & I take the trip about monthly just to eat here! Nothing fancy about the restaurant but definitely good eats! Highly recommend!
