“I’ve been coming here for as long as they’ve been open and it’s one of my favorites for dine in or takeout. Butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, and lamb biryani are the go to’s and are all delicious. Naan and garlic naan are always great. Big fan of the vegetable samosa’s, too. I will agree with some other reviews that the service is a little on the slower side but that’s something that doesn’t bother me too much, I honestly prefer slower service vs. feeling like I’m being rushed out of a place. If you’re looking for some good Indian in Forest Hills, this is a good place to start.“

“After having brunch here I will definitely be back for their dinner service.
Definitely worth checking out. Tried the biscuits & gravy, full 2.0, pancakes all were solid renditions of the traditional meal with a twist.
Callout - The French press is a full French press not just a personal sized one“

“Best food ever“
“Had a wonderful dinner experience at Adda tonight. The food was exceptional. The chefs know what to do with the spices to create some of the best flavors in all of these dishes. The curry leaf crab is a must! All the dishes were great. But the one of the best bites we had was a simple yet so flavorful kulfi popsicle desert that was dipped in strawberry cream sauce. Also what was top of the line was the service. Our server Swayam was a delight. He was the kindest person with a great personality. He was very knowledgeable about all the items and was a great help with recommendations. Service was a 10 out of ten. It’s hard to get a reso here, but that means everyone is going here. This restaurant is a must.

“The food was invredibly good. What an explosion of flavours! The only thing we did not like so much is the quickness of the service. We had the feeling we were rushed trough the meals. Maybe it is typically American to have a quick service but we were with 6 people and wanted to have a cozy night. But it is still a very good restaurant with friendly waiters.“

“After eating so much (pizza etc )we needed to eat something different, spicy and booked this gem,as it as near to our hotel. It was also our 40th wedding anniversary. We are from U.K. This was amazing perfectly cooked tasty home made authentic Indian cuisine. We had mocktails ( lavender was refreshing ). The tandoori lamb chops x4 were full meat seasoned beautifully and delicious. All other sides perfect too. Now in U.K. we hate restaurant Indian puddings they are usually bought in and awful/failure. After finding out the chef is the owner and a recipient Michelin star we were convinced to stay, try and this was the first time we have had authentic home made puddings; try Kulfi with rose water & also Indian rice pudding. The whole meal was exceptional great value and we will recommend this restaurant to anyone else visiting New York. Easy to find off Times Square /Broadway. Thanks for the rendition “ congratulations “ for our 40th. You are great ! A little gem of authenticity in big New York !“

“When I walked in the restaurant the delicious aromas let me know I made a good choice. The food was absolutely amazing with vegan/vegetarian options and even a complimentary gluten free appetizer. The staff was welcoming and the service great. The prices were reasonable, but the best part was the delicious food!!“

“I made this reservation after reading the reviews regarding the food quality and the proximity to Broadway. We were running late for our reservation and I was completely flustered because I didn't want to be late for our 8:00 show. We were seated and our orders were taken and were served the most delicious Samosa appetizers, entrees and drinks (Django mango margaritas). We shared our Kedhai chicken, Butter chicken, Hakka noodles and Goan fish curry and were happily satisfied with plenty of time to get to our show in time. The Maitre ‘D and servers were amazing. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere is also quite relaxing and welcoming.“

“Indian Kitchen in Williamsburg is a real neighborhood gem. Living right above it, I can honestly say it’s a huge convenience—and a pleasure. The food is consistently excellent, full of flavor and care, and the service is always warm and attentive. It genuinely feels community-oriented, the kind of place that remembers its regulars and adds to the fabric of the block. I’m lucky to have such a great restaurant just downstairs.“

“Warm, modern, and intimate restaurant that has a creative take on Indian cuisine. Upon entry, we were greeted welcomingly. You’d notice the decor immediately—stunning and attention to detail from top to bottom! The menu had so much to choose from and the servers were extremely helpful with explaining the differences. But the star of the show has to be the presentation of the food and the flavorful sauces. Worth the city prices. Would definitely come back for another special occasion!“

From the moment you walk in, the ambience feels intimate and sophisticated, with warm lighting, exquisite décor, and a refined energy that sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. “One of the best meals I’ve had out in a long time. Everything here from the service to the ambience was amazing! For appetizers we had the biyebarir fish fry and the aloo chaat, both were spicy but we found ourselves wanting more. The entrees stepped it up a notch with the prawn malai kari and the kosha mangshu which were 100% worth coming back for. Our server Zaraith was extremely knowledgeable and guided us through the entire meal and the manager Joy was very hospitable. Will be back soon for sure, thank you Unapologetic for the experience!“

“I’ve been walking by Pranam for quite some time and finally decided to come in - I can’t express how much I’m wishing I visited earlier! I’m blown away by the quality of the food and attentive service. The Momo were incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned and the entrees from varying places in Asia impressed me. Special shout out to the imported beers as well - I got the Nepal Ice beer and am now looking where to source it for myself. Truly a hidden neighborhood staple -
I encourage everyone to check this place out. You won’t be disappointed. Promise.“

“I had the Murg Makhani...which is grilled chicken in a tomato butter sauce. Expertly spiced and absolutely delish...and I finished off the sauce with a combination of garlic and butter naan. I cooled my palate with Tak Mahal beer. A wonderful experience! BTW: the service was outstanding.“

“We recently visited Bungalow NY, and it was truly an unforgettable dining experience! The ambiance was elegant yet warm, perfectly blending modern luxury with an inviting charm.
The food is absolutely outstanding! Every dish was a masterpiece, beautifully plated and bursting with authentic flavors. You could taste the creativity and love behind every bite.
What made the evening even more special was seeing Chef Vikas Khanna personally visit tables, sharing stories behind the dishes and asking for feedback. He is such a humble and inspiring gesture from a world-class chef. 🙌
And to top it all off, we even spotted Tripti Dimri dining there that night! ✨
Overall, Bungalow NY is not just a restaurant. it’s a complete culinary journey. Highly recommended for anyone who loves exceptional food, impeccable service, and an unforgettable atmosphere.“

“I stopped by the Hindu Temple Canteen after visiting the temple and the place delivers exactly what people say about it. The food is simple, fresh and made with the kind of consistency you only get in a temple kitchen.
I tried two plates because I was there with a friend. The pongal was warm, comforting and properly seasoned. The curd vada had a light, balanced taste and felt refreshing. The mixture on the side added a nice crunch. The dosa was crisp, not oily, and the coconut chutney tasted clean. The sambar was mild but paired well with everything.
The canteen is not about presentation. It's about honest food that feels familiar and satisfying. Portions are fair and pricing is very reasonable for New York. If you're already visiting the temple, stopping here makes total sense. It’s quick, reliable and a good break before heading back out.“

“Amazing Food. Excellent staff. So kind and mindful of our requests. We went with our baby and one of the staff gave my little kiddo Valentine’s flower. She kept dancing all the time.
We ordered Shrimp in main course but we thought it was not a main course dish to eat with rice so gave us extra gravy of butter chicken. We also ordered Paneer Khurchan which is very unique and delicious. Didn’t say No to anything we asked.
To top it all, they gave us delectable rasmalai desert with chocolate strawberry. So delicious.
We all enjoyed our valentine’s dinner.“

Personal and attentive. Definitely recommended.“

“Wow! That was so delicous!!!
We had visited Bombay Chowk a few times over the last few years but had never become a regular as we had never walked away having been amazed. But idk what changed, the food was SOOOO good today. We had the new lamb samosa, lamb biryani, chicken makhani and garlic naan. Everything was so delicous. Every bite a burst of flavor. Either I was ordering the wrong things during my previous meals, or the chef changed, or idk, to tonight they hit the mark for me and I was very impressed. I can't wait to go back!!! (We spent our entire walk back hom talking about how crazily good the food was today)“

“A real neighborhood institution serving pretty good Punjabi food to cab drivers, club kids, and everyone else. Not even slightly fancy, but Inexpensive, informal, fast and delicious — what more could you want? Good for chai and a samosa or for a full meal, depending on how hungry you are. Tourists spend hours in line waiting for a sandwich from the movie-famous deli across the street but the real New York experience, in my view, is to come here and stare at the tourists while you eat your chana.“

“We had a late lunch here today. We used to love getting Indian food in the East Village, but having moved to Brooklyn, we were looking for a great place as our go-to in the neighborhood.
It was amazing!
The food was way beyond our expectations. The service was attentive and friendly. Maybe there weren’t a million chili peppers hanging from the ceiling, but it was nice and quiet and just what we were looking for. Did I mention the food? I ate more than I meant to, and still had leftovers to take home.
We went for lunch, and the value was beyond belief. But I looked at the dinner menu, and the prices weren’t much higher.
If you are in the Bed-Stuy or Crown Heights areas, make this a must. If you love Indian food, you will love Bombay Grill!
Did I mention the food?“
