“i ordered their prosciutto and burrata (which comes with imported burrata and 24 Month prosciutto di parma), tonnarelli cacio e pepe (pasta with pecorino and black pepper), and infernetto pinsa (roman style pizza with tomato, mozzarella, spicy soppressata, and pecorino). all in all, every dish was made with fine ingredients and was cooked well. the burrata was very creamy and delicious, i would recommend it if you’re a fan of burrata cheese. the pizza had a good coal fire taste to it and came out hot and flavorful (the spicy soppressata was tasty, but i would like to try some of their other flavors eventually). the cacio e pepe was tasty and had a strong pecorino flavor (creamy, rich, slight cheesy musk to it). the pasta had good texture and mouthfeel (firm al dente noodles). all in all a decent spot for italian!“

“The alcoholic pairing blew me away. The food, not so much. I can only recommend Restaurant Yuu if you love wine. For $180 you get to try 12 wine and sake with wildly distinct characters. Most of the bottles were priced above $85, with some being in the $250-300 range. Usually wine pairings are pretty bad value because only one or two stand out. The pairing here felt fully worth the money. Almost everything tasted amazing. Frankly, the drinks far outclassed the food in complexity of flavor and aroma.The food was much more about aesthetics than taste. Half of the food arrived lukewarm, perhaps from too much tweezer work. It was frustrating. Things were either not hot enough or not cold enough. There were glaring execution mistakes. It often felt like they were adding more and more components for quantity’s sake, but it did not translate to deeper flavors. The truly delicious dishes (asparagus, bread, sawara, squab, signature pithivier) were the ones with the simplest presentations that arrived piping hot. Though, looking back, the second half of the meal was really strong. It’s just that I sat through the first half hoping the food will get better at some point (which it did).In short, the drink pairing felt worth the $180, but it’s hard to justify $250 for the tasting menu when half the dishes were executed sloppily.“

“I pass the Penrose frequently, a block from the 2nd Ave Q entrance on 83rd. It is a perfect spot to meet up after work for drinks and snacks. Good music, friendly atmosphere. I tell everyone, my husband and I had brunch with our wedding party there. Great place. Recently my dad passed, and when trying to decide where to celebrate his life with extended family and friends my sister and I decided on The Penrose and emailed the events manager Chaya. She helped with everything, never got tired or short with her answers. We would think of all our questions after we signed off. Chaya made recommendations, helped our ideas come to life, and made a difficult moment easy. Day of memorial: Chaya and her team created the perfect atmosphere. Our server Emma and bartender Audrey were exceptional. The guests kept telling us what great service, atmosphere and food, but repeated to us how great the servers were. We had 30 people, in the back area with tables and bar seating. Chaya helped us choose the right amount of food, and beverages. Emma kept the area clean with out being intrussive, Audrey kept us “hydrated”. We had a buffet food area - food was great!They put to go boxes out for guest to take treats home. Thanks to Chaya we were able to truly celebrate dad, she had his play list, which we provided pumped in and a slide show with his great life moments on the screen over the bar. He served in WWII, a decorated war hero, with great taste in music. They also insured the Honor Guard ceremony, presenting flag and playing of taps went off seamlessly. As I said in my first paragraph The Penrose is a great place, but on this day it was exceptional. “It was date night!!! Double date night that is. My close boy and I planned a secret double date with our significant other. They did not know it was a double until we met up at the door of Salvaje social club. let me just say the ambiance did not disappoint at all, the wild jungle theme had me loving every minute of my walk in and stay. Throughout the night the smoke machine would random blow smoke give the place a misty look. The music was pumping all night long and kept us in an upbeat vibe. The selection of music was mainly Spanish music, they did sprinkle in some English music but for most the night it was reggaeton etc. Although I didn't understand what was being said I surely loved the beat of every song that played. The staff at salvaje was very quick, informative of the menu, polite and friendly. We started off with the seeds of passion which was very tasty and strong. We did two rounds of that drink, couldn't get enough of it lol. I then had a Hennessy and pineapple juice , I don't know what pineapple juice was used but it was so good along with the Hennessy. For starters we had the shrimp toastadas and let me tell you it was amazing , I highly recommend it. Two of us ordered the Milton's rice and the other two ordered chicken on the cut. The rice was well fried and seasoned along with the shrimp, it was just a bit salty but i still loved it, the food really did not let me down at all. We stuck around after eating to drink more and dance a bit during our stay. I'll give Salvaje a 10/10 for vibes 10/10 for drinks 9/10 for Food 10/10 for service 10/10 for ambiance“
“This place is going to be a favorite of mine in 2024. I recently celebrated my birthday at Harrison during brunch. The service was exceptionally attentive and personal. The food was fantastic with ample portions with left-overs tasing just as good as when dined. The music was classic rock with a lot of great classic americana portraits and photos of nostalgia. The staff was particularly attentive to our needs and we never had to wait. I can't reiterate how impressed I was with this restaurant. I must also add that the prices are very reasonable for what you get. The Harrison is five stars.“
“We were in Queens and asked a friend who lived in area for dinner recommendations. We are super happy he did. This place is great. All 4 of us loved our dishes and service. The place was packed but they keep it moving and everyone looks quite happy with their food. Some of the best pasta we’ve had in a long time. The mushroom pasta I had was on long thick cuts of homemade pasta cooked perfectly and the mushoom mixture was excellent and I really appreciated it cooked in white wine sauce instead of heavy cream you usually get. My wife ordered something not on the menu for her and my daughter. Home made spaghetti with vodka sauce and grilled shrimp and waiter offered meatballs and spaghetti for my daughter. They loved it. My son had the lasagna and finished every morsel. I don’t leave too many reviews but this place deserves it 100%. Thank you.“

The crudo was flavorful, I just wished I had a a better fish to grape ratio (a little more fish, less grapes). The pizza was great (thin crust), but didn’t taste the garlic come thru as much as we’d like. Pasta was good but the sauce was amazing. The highlight was definitely the chocolate cake with olive oil, sea salt & cream.
