“A few years ago, I was hired to write a series of articles about regional Italian cuisine. Since then, I have been looking for traditional Italian gelato. Until yesterday, I have been consistently disappointed. But this? It was absolutely EVERYTHING I had dreamed about. The prices weren't ridiculous, the bathroom was PRISTINE, the staff were helpful and friendly and it was incredibly, amazingly delicious. My only complaint is that I live too far away from your stores to get it very often. But about that? My hips are less upset about the distance. :) I will definitely be back, though!“

“I have been buying the buttermilk berry cornbread such a unique flavor. It’s so good. I’m so addicted to it. I’ve never tasted such a grape flavor in ice cream ever.“

“I wanted cheesecake bites and had called over the phone to tell them to include it since uber eats didn’t have it as an option, however the man told me they ran out. After we got off the phone I guess he went to the back just to to double check and realized he had a little extra left and went out of his way to scoop out whatever was left in the back to give to me. He even went out of his way to write a note on the bag. Whoever this was, just know we appreciated it so much! Put a huge smile on my face. you’re the absolute best (if your boss sees this u deserve a raise)“

“The new ressee ice cream thing (forgot the name) it’s like a sundae/blizzard combo sorta, you eat with spoon… it’s shown as brown ice cream (not vanilla) which it is, just vanilla soft serve with peanut butter syrup.. I thought that it was peanut butter ice cream (which would have been better) it was still pretty good though but pretty expensive for a small cup of averaged ice cream.. $8 an some change ?‍♀️?‍♀️“

“Very good flavorful ice cream with a small but unique set of flavors (8 with 2 vegan) such as Rose Hip, Poppy seed with lemon, Lavender earl grey etc. Decent prices ($5 for first+$3 per extra scoop), decent portions and they allow sampling. They have some seating outside the store. Definitely recommend.

The store is only open on Saturday and Sunday and around summer, so the product is definitely fresh and they make it in small batches. The flavors were real and you can easily see it in the scoops. It wasn't too sweet and the texture was reasonably smooth.

My favorite flavors were the rose hip and the poppy seed. Will definitely come back.“

Location makes it a perfect date night dessert place to complement your evening on Bell Blvd. In short, you are paying for an experience when coming here. The ice cream is more like a soft serve when mixed with the cereal and carries a price tag of 8 bucks a head. BUT, I will say I left SATISFIED. “Absolutely the best ice cream I've had in Brooklyn. So far, we've tried grape nut, guava, and Irish moss. All amazing. Are the staff going to gush over you? Maybe not, but they will give you excellent homemade ice cream at a very reasonable price and in a decent size. The guava tastes like fresh guava, and the Irish moss tastes like Christmas: so good.“

“I walked in to this beautiful establishment and I could not figure what out what I wanted. This establishment offers so many different types of choices it’s hard to keep up with all of them. I asked one of the employees what her favorite yogurt flavor was. When asked she said that she likes all of them and would love to help me to a sample. “I'm not really an ice cream person unless it's exceptional and tastes homemade. Astoria doesn't have many places that sell good ice cream, but Ample Hills is an exception. It has delicious ice cream and fun flavors, and they let you taste samples. So far, all the flavors I've had or sampled have been excellent, though I'm partial to the coffee flavors and butter pecan. I do wish they had more sorbet flavors for those of us who prefer sorbet over ice cream. The only sorbet they have right now is mango. But still, if you're really into ice cream, this is the perfect place!“

“This has to be one of the best-named ice cream stores I have ever encountered: inviting, memorable, potent. Those adjectives apply to its ice creams, too, which come in all sorts of intriguing flavors. The consistency leans toward the icier end of the spectrum, but that is nice sometimes, refreshing. I went with fried apple pie, and I did not regret it. Intriguingly, all the ice cream was pre-scooped, which makes it easy to grab and go. I hope they expand. We need this kind of invention in more places!“

“I frequent this location often with my children because my toddler LOVES their pistachio ice cream. She convinced me to try it and it really is that good. My favorite from this store is the coffee ice cream. Hits everytime. The store is very small but always looks clean. There’s not much organization when it comes to the line so they usually just ask “who’s next”. All workers that I’ve interacted with have been pleasant. I’ve never had a negative interaction with a worker so I’d say their customer service is great.

Parking: A lot of people double park. It’s paid metered parking and spots are usually taken.“

“Came in on a Friday at noon - the interior was welcoming and clean. I ordered the La Callejera and it was delicious! Service was quick and very nice. Portion was big for me - ended up eating half and will be eating other half for dinner. Would definitely come in again. Order total was about 21 for the torta and a Mexican coke.“
