“Yo, if you're craving some bomb sushi and top-notch service, this is the spot. The bathroom's spotless, and the food is packed with flavor and won't break the bank. We only get specific dishes from here, like the kani salad and the shrimp. I highly recommend this place to everyone!“

“I recently had Fortune Chinese Food cater a party, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience! From start to finish, they were an absolute pleasure to work with — professional, reliable, and incredibly accommodating.
A special shoutout to Gaby, who made the entire process seamless. She was so helpful with planning the menu, answering all my questions, and making sure everything was just right for the event. Her communication was on point, and she genuinely cared about making our party a success.
The food was great! Everything was delivered right on time and beautifully packaged, ready to serve. Huge thanks to Gaby and the team — I’ll definitely be using them again!“

“Fantastic speakeasy sushi joint. Very small, no more than an handful of people may join the omasake style bar where 3 talented (and cool) chefs serve you the best crafted sushi you can get. Definitely going back soon.“

“Love this place — good, fairly priced sushi. They’ve also eliminated tipping, which I personally support, as I believe establishments should pay their employees fairly rather than relying on customers to supplement their income. The omakase is served at a fast pace, so it might not be ideal if you’re looking for a slower, more intimate dining experience.“

“Went inside on a whim and so glad we did. The handrolls were incredible. The fish was great quality and creativity was next level. Our favorites were the xo scallop (must get), tuna poke, salmon serrano, aka ebi, toro scallion, and spicy lobster. Not as big of a fan of cooked/fried fish in sushi, but tried the coconut shrimp and spicy crab dynamite due to the many recommendations, and thought they were just okay. Also didn’t think the caviar starter was anything special.“

“I tried the poke bowl, takoyaki, and tofu steak at Ooi Sushi Bar—and everything was so good and incredibly fresh. The poke bowl was flavorful with perfectly marinated fish, the takoyaki had that crispy-outside, creamy-inside texture that hits just right, and the tofu steak was a total standout—crispy, savory, and full of umami. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!“

“We celebrated a couple of Birthdays and Mother's Day here. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We came for brunch and pretty much had the place for ourselves. I had the Goda Harmony which consists of the Rock Shrimp, Miso Cod and Medley of vegetables. It was wonderful! 🤗 💕 Many of my party got the Chirashi, and they enjoyed their meal. Others chose the rolls. One ordered the Nyeumen - thin udon soup Bowl with shrimp Tempura. All very yummy!“

“My wife and I went to Sushi Jin last night for the first time. It was wonderful on all fronts - the space, the vibe, the freshness, the omakase selections, the assembly, the presentation, and of course, the taste (oishii!). Really good sake, too. Chef Tachikawa took great care of us- he was friendly, gracious, and way capable. Our server (everything else but the sushi), Jean, was also fantastic. We walked out of there satisfied & very happy and thought it was the perfect dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We look forward to our next visit.“

“**5-Star Chinese BBQ Experience!**
The lamb skewers here are incredible—juicy, smoky, and packed with cumin-chili flavor! I also loved the crispy grilled squid and garlic eggplant, which paired perfectly with an ice-cold beer. The service was fast and friendly, and the lively atmosphere made it a perfect spot for a fun group dinner. **Definitely coming back!**“

“It was a group of 5 for dinner on a Saturday night and my second time. It was not too busy. We had make reservations, I expected for them to have us sit on the corner so it would be easier to talk to each other but they did not reserve those seats for us so that was a bummer. It was harder to talk when we are sitting all in one row. Some of the fish pieces were a bit fishy. Otherwise, our waiter was very attentive and made sure we were ok with the salt/spice level of the food. Our sushi chef also made sure our ginger was always refilled. I enjoyed my meal but it was not as good as our first time.“

“Went for a dinner date for the first time on a Saturday with my boyfriend and the overall experience was incredible!
We did the 16 course omakase and chef Jay was not only friendly, but also took his time with each piece.
Will definitely return and ask for chef Jay again if possible!“

“My plus one and I really enjoyed our time here. We had just gotten home from vacation and were in a mood for Ramen and this place did not disappoint.
Let me just say that this place has such a traditional Japanese vibe to it…the staff is warm and welcoming and the food was spectacular.
We had the ramen, both original and spicy and it was very delicious. We also had two Asahi beers and called it a day.
Overall, I will come back to this place more often.“

“(4.7⭐️) ordered takeout from this local little spot. I had their shrimp dragon roll which was fresh and yummy. Their ingredients def taste fresh. I tried their pork gyoza which per my taste I would’ve liked them a bit more grill. The miso soup was pretty standard. Even though they seemed a tad bit frustrated because of me asking questions I think it just took us a second to mutual understand each other. I’d def go back and try other options ! The spot has 3-4 tables at most in case you’re thinking of sitting down.“

Really loved this place stop by lunch time they got incredible deals!“

“The food was very good. Miso soup one of the best I have had. The teriyaki veggies were the best I ate. I usually don't eat them at other places. Very good teriyaki sauce they use on the chicken. I enjoyed my Chicken Bento Box.

“It is not often enough that great atmosphere and ambience pair together with great food, but this place has done just that.
Since their renovations last year the quality of everything from the plates to the whole interior design has improved. Not only that but the food is one of the best in the neighborhood.“

“I fantasize about Yugen sushi almost every week. It’s the best sushi I’ve had for takeout, and I have to stop myself from ordering from them all the time bc I’d bankrupt myself getting the crispy rice every day. The crispy rice is crazy good and comparable to high end places I’ve tried. The specialty rolls are killer.
I’d only get takeout here because the ambiance is kind of meh. But the sushi is so good it feels like I’m getting a fancy experience for cheap. Yugen is higher priced than other neighborhood spots but it’s 100% worth it.“

“Thank you guys SO MUCH for satisfying my cravings, this roll I asked for isn’t on the menu, but they went out their way to make it for me🥺 Hit home and brought me good memories, I can’t thank you enough! I will definitely be ordering more often, I work a block away😁 & yes, those are flaming hot Cheetos lol“

“We have been ordering here for years but the price keeps going up on their platters - we usually get the XL sushi sashimi roll platter. It’s $140 at time of this review. Some of the rolls have a Korean flair with Korean pickled radish in them. A lot of spicy mayo is drizzled over the smaller rolls so it’s hard to tell what type of fish/roll you’re eating so keep that in mind if you have guests. Easy to order because you can’t choose.“

“Great hole in the wall omakase. My girlfriend and I did the $95 course omakase. I tend to always go to Manhattan for omakase, but this place restores my faith in Queens! The tuna caviar hand roll was so excellent, I had to order it twice. Check it out at least once.“

“Sushi Time! is always my hubby's and my go-to-sushi-craving-appeasing -eatery when we travel to NY.
Since they initially opened almost two decades ago, we've habitually eaten at the restaurant -- countless times when we lived in NY and even after we moved to NW CT in 2010. Now living in VA these past three years, our trips to NY are not as frequent, BUUUUT we make certain to eat at Sushi Time! when we are there -- whether just landed at one of NYC airports, passing through or visiting for several days. Yes, thats how much we enjoy eating at Sushi Time!
Jenna and her staff are always welcoming and amazingly friendly and attentive from the moment you walk into the restaurant, regardless if they just opened the doors to the very last minute they close at night.
Their sushi quality and specialty rolls combinations and flavours are impeccable. Never disappointing.
I highly recommend Sushi Time! Go and be delighted, your taste buds will thank you.“

“This really is the best sushi restaurant in our neighborhood. The owners have always been so welcoming and the chef makes the best sushi, on par with way more expensive restaurants that we’ve been to, LI to Manhattan. No joke. Def worth the $$. I honestly wouldn’t believe anyone on here who would give a 1 star review. Hardworking family-owned business with wonderful service and great food! Thank you Ganda always!!!“

“I found this place by searching for Sushi Party Trays on Google, and I'm so glad I found it! The party trays are so delicious and so affordable, that you can get a couple for the price of just a few special rolls from any other place! It's a very small place, but it has very big flavor and the best price around!!!!“

“Sushi of Gari just delivers. I am glad that we have one in the UES neighborhood. I like the fact that the sushi isn't plain traditional, but also doesn't really go drastically experimental. The care that is put on each piece of the omakase progression is excellent and well thought out. Naturally Omakase in NY is not a cheap endeavor, but it is worth every dime for a special occasion. Also thanks for the surprise gesture for my wife's birthday!!“

“New favorite local sushi take-out spot. Very friendly welcome when I walked in, told them my daughter really wants salmon and they were happy to custom one of the plates to include only salmon.
The salmon itself was excellent. Fresh and smooth texture, dare I say best I’ve had outside of Japan (was there in July).
Will be going back again.“

“There's a lot of disapointing omakase in New York, and so I was overjoyed that there is a place at this price point that is among the best of them. Has that attentiveness and hushed, somewhat serious atmosphere you would expect of a good sushi place but still manages to feel cosy and neighborhoody even in Crown Heights.“

“Loved everything we had - karaage, tempura, chashudon and gyudon. Everything tasted fresh and was cooked well. The chashu had amazing flavor, and the rice was so good. I haven’t had well-cooked rice in a very, very long time. It was quite special!“

“We love sushi and try it pretty much everywhere we go. Our sushi rolls were pretty decent. We tried the sweet potato, oshinko, yellowtail and scallion, the peanut avocado, and the spicy mango shrimp rolls. Everything tasted pretty great and we were happy with the quality of the food. The atmosphere was nice. It was a quiet little spot, tucked away, with an intimate atmosphere. As we were sitting there they added fresh flowers to all the tables. The restaurant and the bathrooms looked clean and we didn't have any wait getting a table.
The cons were that, even though it was clean, there was no soap in the bathroom, we didn't have any soy sauce on our table and had to grab it off another table, and the water they served us was pretty warm. It was poured from a glass jar sitting on the table and it felt as though it had been sitting out for a long time.
Overall it was a good experience and it was worth our money.“
