“The Tapp is the quintessential local bar. The staff are very friendly, the burgers are phenomenal (as is everything else on the menu), and the prices are more than reasonable. If you find yourself in Tarrytown for shopping or seeing a show at The Music Hall, make a stop at The Tapp a part of the experience. Better still, make the trip just to visit The Tapp alone. It really is a great place to hang out with friends, catch a singer, play Tuesday Night Trivia, or have a terrific meal.“

“We had a quiet, comfortable stay while heading south through New York and New Jersey. Room was clean and comfortable. Everything worked with the exception of one lightbulb, which was quickly replaced. The front desk staff and the maintenance engineer were very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Our one “complaint” was with the height of the toilet seat. For old folks with old knees, it’s much too low and there was nothing to grab onto. It also would have been helpful to have a listing of the tv channels. There was no channel guide on the remote. We had to surf through the channels to see what was on. We had a very good dinner in The Koi Lounge. Food was good! Price was reasonable! Server/bartender was very pleasant, but service was slow because she was working alone. The kitchen is not adjacent to the lounge, so she had to do lots of running back and forth. The main restaurant was closed because the hotel was not busy enough to warrant opening it in the middle of this week. The breakfast buffet @ $18 was very good. It featured a good variety of hot and cold items + eggs/omelettes cooked to order. Good coffee! We would stop here again when passing through.“

“We hosted a surprise 60th birthday party this past weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the first call to set it up to the moment we walked out the door, the staff made sure it was such a great experience. The people who work there are so attentive and kind. The managers Bryan and Kelly were so helpful in planning our party and Ivan is a rockstar. He took care of our party of 20 and made sure we had everything we needed. We never had to look for him, he was always checking on us and providing excellent service. He truly is so great at what he does. We had a sit down lunch in their cottage room which was so nicely decorated. the space was perfect. We felt like we were in our own restaurant. It was cozy but spacious and they were so accommodating with how we wanted it set up. We were able to bring balloons and decorations and the staff even helped us set up. They had a curtain up in the doorway so we were able to really surprise the guest of honor. Our lunch was delicious. We chose to do the seated option with 3 shareable apps and we picked a menu of 4 main meals from their party menu. Most of us ordered the shepherds pie and it was some of the best we had ever had. The presentation was cute. It came in a skillet which was served on a board with Irish soda bread. It was so delicious. The show stopper was the shareable Irish egg rolls. We couldn’t stop talking about them. The drinks were really good and the bar staff was really attentive to the party. The kids ordered from the long kids menu and they really enjoyed theirs as well. The pricing was very reasonable and worth every penny. We were able to bring our own cake and they cut it up and served it for us which was so nice. I can’t thank them enough for how special they made this experience. Everyone in our party had such an amazing time. The staff here are incredible. I would absolutely consider them for your next party.“

Servers Michael and Justin were incredible! We walked in, tables were set, water glasses filled and menus ready. “The Yard House restaurant is a popular and well regarded American casual dining restaurant chain that's known for offering guests superbly made burgers, pizzas, salads and other delicious dishes. In July of 2025, I brought and treated my wife and myself for dinner at the Yard House, specifically the branch located at the Palisades Center at West Nyack, New York and we very much enjoyed our dining experience. The staff warmly greeted us upon arrival and quickly provided us with a very large and comfortable dining table. Our server, Destiny D. was kind, welcoming and unquestionably professional. She did a great job on taking our menu orders, addressing our inquiries and always checked to make sure that we were having a great time. The Yard House is truly fortunate to have Destiny D as a member of their team. In addition to the great service, both my wife and I were in awe of the restaurant's energetic and vivacious atmosphere. We were impressed with its modern and stylish decor, and its display of multiple large television screens which feature live sports events and popular music programming. Guests also have access to a lively sports bar which features a vast collection of beers and cocktails. Last but certainly not least, my wife and I absolutely enjoyed our meal!!! We found our guacamole and chips appetizer tasty and delightful!!! I ordered and loved my burger based entree while my wife ordered and loved her whiskey glazed salmon entree. We found our meals to be perfectly cooked, superbly seasoned and highly delicious!!! All in all, we very much enjoyed our dining experience at the Yard House, and highly recommend for everyone to visit and dine at this great restaurant!!!“

“I used to go to the one in Middletown, NY when I was a kid. The inside decor is fun 🤩 with a nod to theme restaurants of the past. I very much enjoyed my entree with a jalapeño sauce and a white sauce, the margarita was a bit sweet, the guacamole 🥑 appetizer was excellent and freshly made. We will definitely go back to with our kids. Prices were fairly high from $25 to $35 per entree, but I understand in 2023 with inflation at a time highs, everything has increased in price. Overall, a fun and authentic restaurant which is oriented to celebrations.“

I had some of the best wings I've had in about 3 years....and I am PICKY about my wings. Perfect combination of crispiness, sauce/seasoning and freshness. Nice selection of flavors.. I chose the medium wings and garlic parmesan. DELICIOUS! My daughter's burger was top notch as well. Can't wait to be back and try the rest of their diverse menu. Highly recommended ?“
