“Looking for authentic Portuguese food? Allow me to recommend Docas for you...you cant go wrong with their entrees of either meats or seafood...grilled branzini is excellent...on Saturdays they have dobrada, which translates to tripe...and if you find their Osso Bucco on Sundays, you HAVE to get it...homemade desserts and great place to chat a soccer game...or just "hear" Portuguese ppl be...Portuguese“
“So happy we have found this local restaurant for wings! We are huge wing fans and the six flavors we ordered were absolutely amazing! The only thing I would suggest for any customers ordering online, do not pay attention to the google suggested time for pick up. Our wings were not warm due to the delay in time we picked up but regardless dinner was fantastic! I didn’t rate atmosphere as this was a pick up order but TOTALLY recommend.“
“Stopped here on our way to Blaze Jack O Lantern back in 2022. It was a nice spot to stop and have a few drinks. There were only a few people there, but it seems like a spot that gets busy late at night on the weekends.Parking: We parked in a lot down the street. I would say maybe 3-5 min walk. The intersection was a little tricky due to how the streets merge, so just pay attention.“
“Ok, so you have to be a bit adventerous and open minded for this place. It looks like a dive bar from the outside and from the inside. Upon entry, they will give you the "are you sure you're in the right place" look but not in derogatory way. More like their just not used to Americans. It's an Equadorian hole in the wall and they speak little english but they are gracious and welcoming. The menu is bilingual but a little espanol will get you a long way. The decore is well, non existant. Maybe it was an Irish pub with it's long bar which displays empty shelves except for a couple reds (one of which, by the glass, was shockingly good my wife proclaimed. A Chiliean Malbec maybe). They also offer some spanish and american beers. I had a Modelo. At the back, some tables a stage and a large flat screen streaming spanish soccer. The room then joins the take out restaurant nextdoor resulting in a big 'U'. I suppose for the timid you could go there and avoid the bar side but it wasn't open at the time -around 8pm on Sat night. Besides you'd be missing the "cultural" experience : ) So why am I writing about this place? Well because the food kicks azz and it's pretty cheap. We shared 2 dishes that could've fed 3-4 people. The first, a mixed grill of pork chop, steak and sausage. All of good quality, nicely seasoned and not over cooked accompanied by a green salad with lots of cilantro and a big side plate of rice and red beans. An orange red salsa came on the side and it was spicy and acidic and went perfectly with both plates. The other, a mixed seafood plate of whole flounder, lightly breaded and fried and took up most of a large plate. Next to it, a combo of sauteed mussels, calamari and shrimp in a paprika spice mix with a side of fresh onion salad. Also served with a large plate of rice and beans. $15 and $16. The two most expensive dishes on the menu except for the Guinea pig which most would be totally freaked out by. It is an Equadorian delicacy. I didn't try it but I'd like to one day. Not cheap at $30 but it shows their authenticity and that's what we're looking for. Don't d*** it down for my western palette. Give me the real deal just like you make back home. There was lots of other interesting stuff on the menu like the ceviche's and chicken dishes I plan on exploring next time.“
“When it comes to Mexican food, I think of myself as a Mexican food snob. I try out different places hoping to get that taste that I remember from Mexico. There are only three places in the area that I really enjoy. This is one of them. The owners do a great job of making this food taste very authentic. The inside is a very intimate but casual sort of atmosphere. The food here is absolutely fabulous. I've had the burrito here and I've had the fajitas here. I've enjoyed them both. Make it a point to stop in here and order a margarita along with some of their freshest dishes. I tried so many things here and I have not found anything I didn't like.“
“We have done a couple parties there the owner never disappoints it can be from 15 to 50 people the food and staff are amazing can't wait to do my son's party there in the spring. All of our freinds always tell us how they enjoy are parties there not to mention the drinks and appetizers.“
“Finally went with my wife few weeks ago because we were tired of same old places ...we said we'd go to a new place each week, and came back two weeks later because we enjoyed it so much! We're going again this weekend...a great experience will keep you coming back!“
“I ordered the porchetta sandwich. It looked better than it tasted. The ciabatta was not a true ciabatta and did not go with the sandwich. The porchetta was just crisped up pork belly and was skimpy on the portion considering the price of the sandwich. The waitress said I can substitute the fries for any of the sides but didn't state there would be an upcharge. There was tiny fine print under the sandwiches that says they'll be an upcharge but it's very easy to overlook. I opted for the warm cabbage side which was very tasty and would order again. My friend ordered the beet salad and that looked amazing. I'd suggest trying that and if I go again I'll order that instead.Lastly, the water glass had lipstick on it. I wasn't wearing any. When I asked for a fresh and clean water glass, there was no acknowledgement about the lipstick, even after I pointed it out. That was unprofessional, in my opinion as a former waitress and bartender.Overall, will I go back? Eventually, yes but it's towards the bottom of the list of things to do.“
“Recently enjoyed a fabulous experience at Dolce Vita! The ambiance is cozy and inviting, the staff are exceptionally welcoming, and every dish we tried was a delight. Truly a hidden gem that captures the sweet life in every bite. Can’t recommend it enough!“
“Wowsa what a meal!!! Friends had posted beautiful pics of their meals from their tasting menu. It's cute: half the restaurant is a traditional dining room and the other is take out fish and chips. You can have a delicious meal a la carte or the tasting menu. I could not convince my husband to do the 15 course chef's tasting menu. But we did do the tasting menu with wine. Every dish was light, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. We enjoyed the wine pairings which were different (portuguese and spanish wines rounded out some American and South African wines). I am excited to come back to try more of their traditional menu and their namesake (fish and chips). Well worth a visit.“
