“I do not recommend going to the bar! Terrible service!! This past Labor Day my husband and I decided to go back to this place for our second time, since our first time was a great experience. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service overall. This time we decided to sit in the back because they had a DJ and good ambiance. The bar seating was perfect and beautiful water view. Since it was a beautiful evening we decided to order a nice COLD bottle of white wine along with our meal. Unfortunately the wine we wanted “supposedly” they didn’t have…..but it seemed as our very young bartender was having a bit of trouble trying to put that in the system, so she came back to see if we have a second choice. So we chose. We waited more than usual, but did come eventually………to our disappointment the wine was room temperature. So we expressed our dissatisfaction about how is it possible to serve white wine at room temperature. She suggested we put our bottle in an ice bucket because there’s no colder wines, and that would be the coldest! But then that wouldn’t solve the issue as she thought. We still had warm white wine to drink. So, once we said sorry we just can’t, she decided to leave the ice bucket unattended on the bar and ignore as completely even though we pushed the wine to the side. Since she was completely ignoring us, I got up and went to the side of the bar and called her and asked to speak to whoever was in charge of the wines. With a great attitude she had someone called that person. Once we spoke to him I asked how is it possible to serve room temperature white wine?! the excuse was that maybe she chose the one they just put in. So he advised us to change our wine completely. We ordered French and he suggested a Greek wine because they have that one very cold. After he brought the wine, he left it inside ice bucket unattended. Not even asked if that wine was ok! We had to remind the other very young bartender if we could have our wine. Since our bartender still was ignoring us. We kept the bucket with us just incase so we can serve ourselves. Food came and was delicious! We got the appetizers and after a little while our main course. But empty plates were still there from appetizers. The food runner had to make space to put our main course on the bar top. Main course was done and empty plates were there for so much longer than they should. But she was attending other guest while ignoring us. I started staking the plates, when she noticed she asked the other bartender to clear up the area. My husband wanted dessert so we asked someone else for it. And then we added a couple of frangelicos and this is when she came around again! Nope! Sorry! To not make the story longer our bill came to almost $300. We didn’t think she deserved any tip at all. She ruined our experience. We made the best of our last days of summer. Yes I could’ve had the manager and complain but that would have ruined our evening and our meal. So I told my husband just give her $25 though I thought that was WAY too much, but to show her that we are descent people and that she’s not doing us a favor by serving us because she’s a lousy person with No bartending etiquette and she shouldn’t be behind the bar! And yes we made sure tip wasn’t included already!!“

“Excellent coffee shop on Long Island, come for the caffeine and stay for the community. We stopped by my mom’s favorite coffee shop mid-afternoon, because the family was trying to kill me with caffeine deprivation. The oat milk latte was carefully made and smooth and easy to drink. The interior is great, for a brief moment in time you are anywhere in the World with roll up garage doors, fooseball and a clean setting for evening entertainment. I’ll be back next time I’m visiting!“

“My best friend lives in Queens so she and I come to the Onion Tree every other Friday night. I wish this place was closer to me. I live in Yonkers. The food is superb, seasoned extraordinarily. The chicken is fresh, soft and cut into small bites. I always order chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, or chicken tikka pizza. I have never had food that I enjoyed this much and I have tried all foods all over the world. I never get tired of this place. And the food is served quickly and piping hot. They’re opening a second place in Manhattan. We’re getting closer to Yonkers!! The drinks are awesome too. Barbra and Louis work behind the bar. They’re friendly and great bartenders.“

“I was with some friends for a bit of a reunion. I honestly did not know what to expect from Haven but all I can say is that it is a wonderful, friendly and cozy place. The lite bites were all tasty, but the tap list, the whisky...and whiskey list were outstanding, but the cocktails...oh my! Everyone in our party thought the cocktails were truly outstanding, different, and creative. And priced fairly. I have paid more at several places for cocktails that were nowhere as good as at Haven. The owners are delightful and made us feel at home and next time I find myself in Port Chester, forget anywhere else...I know where I am going. Thanks Haven!“

“I’ve been coming to this bar since last year, and it’s always a great experience. The environment is welcoming, relaxed, and fun. The bartenders are very nice, polite, and make you feel right at home.

Opinions about this Mamaroneck institution are as strong and mixed as their cocktails, but as various bars open and close all around it, this place stays true to itself. It's a neighborhood dive bar of the sort that are ubiquitous in my native Wisconsin, but rare gems in the NYC metro. Craft cocktails and small batch IPAs will not be found here, but simple mixed drinks and domestic drafts are always on hand. Darts and a few other bar games are cheap or free, and the beautiful original window storefront opens up wide to let the warm air in on summer nights. “We enjoyed Friday evening here and found the place to be pleasant and staff to be friendly.

The service is quick, and the bar is well stocked.

Located in the pleasant neighborhood, the menu here is reasonably good.

It's not recommended for food, but drinks options are great.

What deserves a special mention?
It's quiet and a visit is pleasant here.

What could be better?
Food options. And, it is always good to provide the menu right away when guests arrive. Not everyone is visiting just for a beer. Some prefer an experience.“

“During the Day it's a nice place to sit and relax, older Clientele.... They always have the game on, nice bartenders. And a truly OLD SCHOOL setting.... If you know, you know.In the evening, the music comes on, they have two dart boards, and the younger crown comes in. “My brother, his wife, and I went to this establishment for lunch and were seated outside, since it was such nice weather on that day. We ordered spinach & artichoke dip and boneless wings as starters, which we gladly enjoyed; and Leo's BBQ ribs, the Trojan Chicken, and the Teriyaki skirt steak for the entrees. Each dish was quite delicious, although my sister-in-law found the steak a bit salty for her tastes. The staff were kind and very attentive as well. Personally, the Trojan chicken was my favorite out of the entrees. It came with a side of yellow rice, and the grilled chicken was topped with mushrooms and cheese. I highly recommend it!“

“We had a last minute reservation for 8 people, and we were lucky enough to snag a table. YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE! Our entire table loved the food. From the appetizers (the warm bread, the amazing carmalized onion spread, & the Calamari), to the main courses (the NY strip steak, the shrimp, and the ravioli), to the dessert (trust me... get the bread pudding!) everything was impeccable.
