“I stopped by Tiger Sushi because the atmosphere looked really inviting, and I wasn’t disappointed. The inside was very spacious, and you could tell the food is made with pride and love. I've never in my life tasted such amazing food like this and to be honest I'm very critical and hard to please when it comes to food so like always I was waiting to either be let down or not that impressed but I was shocked I live in the City and I order from these guys 2 sometimes 3 times a week. “We arrived on a flight to JFK and wanted dinner. This is perfectly on the way from or to the airport. We ordered food via our mobile device on the way. It was ready as we arrived. The food was absolutely scrumptious, delicious beyond what we even thought it would be, everything was perfect. “Full disclosure, I know and really love the owner and his family. However, even if I didn’t , which I do, I’d give this five stars. Pizza is fresh and delicious, the place is spotless and they are always cleaning, portions are plentiful, the falafel is fantastic and I love how they warm up the pita to give the sandwich a nice crunch. Service is great. When we got there no one knew we were friendly with the owner but we were treated as if we were. Everyone was. Fast, efficient and good. Also, love the large seating area in the back. Great spot!“

“Everything was delicious. We hosted a Purim breakfast at our temple and everyone was so happy and full. I personally put in the order myself and everything from ordering to delivery was so smooth. We ordered large quantity of variety of bagels with all types of cream cheeses, salmon salad, white fish and tuna. Plus we got crepes with ricotta cheese which were Devine. And we ordered lots of croissants 🥐 , plain and chocolate which by the way are huge. I can’t say enough how fresh and delicious everything was. Highly highly recommend this place!!“

“We have eaten at both the Roslyn and Great Neck locations and have always loved the food, ambiance and efficient and friendly service. This past weekend we ordered their most popular Shabbat package (package #2) to enjoy at our own table. It was off the charts. It was still warm when I picked it up Friday afternoon. “A friend of mine and I had a lovely experience at Laffa Bar and Grill. The outside tent was spacious, the food is plentiful and delicious! I also like the changes they made indoors. It has a very nice ambiance. The Owners are warm and welcoming as well as each of the staff. Service with a smile..how refreshing! “*4/5 stars — Great hall and food, one staffing issue*

We held our event at this hall and overall it was a really nice experience. The venue is clean, well-decorated, and has a great layout for guests. The food was a standout — fresh, hot, and flavorful. Everyone at our table commented on how good it was.

The only issue we ran into was with one of the volunteer staff members. Instead of serving, he sat down and ate with the guests. He also cleared plates and removed food from the table while people were still eating. It was awkward and threw off the flow of the meal a bit.

Outside of that, the rest of the team was attentive and the manager was responsive when we mentioned it. For the quality of the hall and food, I’d still recommend booking here. Hopefully they address the volunteer training so guests can finish their meals in peace.

*Cons:* Volunteer staff behavior — clearing food too early, eating with guests

“I had an incredible meal at L’Chaim Restaurant and can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment you walk in, the warm atmosphere and friendly service make you feel right at home.
The food was exceptional—juicy, flavorful shish kebabs, perfectly seasoned grilled meats, delicious handmade dumplings (the pumpkin manti and dushpara were highlights!), fresh salads, and aromatic soups that warmed the soul. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and packed with flavor. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality.
It’s clear they take pride in their Bukharian/Uzbek kosher cuisine, and it shows in every dish. Perfect spot for a family dinner, celebration, or casual night out. We’ll definitely be back soon—highly recommend L’Chaim to anyone in the area or visiting Queens!

“I stumbled across this place after reading something online. Up until my visit, I had never had any food from Uzbekistan and that needed to change!

Because Austin Street is interrupted near this location getting here, or away from here, can be a little tricky. It's no big deal, but I wanted to mention it. Just follow GPS and grab any open parking spot when you get close. If taking the subway, it's a few short blocks from Queens Boulevard.

I arrived after 1pm, so I went with the Samsa's. They usually have lamb, beef, and pumpkin, but they were out of lamb. I tried a pumpkin ($3) and beef ($5) and both were very good. Neither was piping hot, but instead warm. The pumpkin had a hint of sweetness while the beef was savory. They both were more moist than I expected.

This is a bakery, not a cafe. As others have stated, it's a retail storefront, there isn't any seating. The gentleman who rang me up offered me a seat on a chair in the corner, which I was happy to take.

I picked up two more of each to take home, but I'm pretty sure eating them fresh is better. I think a microwave oven will ruin some of the flakiness of the pastry.

When I was there, all of the sweet baked goods were brought in from other kosher bakeries.

I'm looking forward to returning and trying the lamb and hopefully something else that's made on premises.“
