“Let’s talk Hamentashen. Better yet let’s talk Classic Hamentashen; prune, mohn, apricot. Not so Easy to find these days and often awful, especially the super dry undercooked doughy bagel bakery or supermarket variety. I am pleased to report that Zuckers Hamentashen are superb! Crisp dough, slightly sugar glazed and melt in your mouth fillings. Get em FRESH in store at Plainview. You’ll thank me later.“
“On our way home from a day out, we decided to stop in for a few sandwiches. We call it a hidden gem. Quaint Kosher Deli, maybe 10 tables to sit for a quick bite or take out. I believe we were greeted by the owner - so nice and very welcoming. We sat at a table with menus, and he took our drink order, returning with drinks, a bowl of Cole slaw and a bowl of pickles. The Cole slaw was delicious, a little sweetness to it, not drowning in dressing. I ordered the Corned Beef on rye sandwich and my husband ordered the pastrami with Swiss cheese and a side of fries. My Corned Beef was tender and delicious, as was the rye bread. A perfect amount of meat, a decent portion for 1 person. Same with my husband's pastrami. The fries were a crinkle ends cut. Crisp on the outside, a nice potato on the inside - perfection!! They also gave us a sample of the sweet potato fries, which were equally as good, a nice sweet potato flavor. Notable mention to the pastrami knish and kasha knish that we noticed in the case and looked enticing - we will definitely try next time!! They also offer home made egg creams for those who enjoy them!“
“We have loved this place for a long time because of its cozy atmosphere and amazing menu. However, since it came under the new management (same great owners), the place became absolutely superb. The food is prepared to perfection. Everything is tasty and delicious. The ambience created by the recent renovations is even more welcoming than it used to be. The owners, managers and staff are very honest, considerate and accommodating. Last, but not least, their prices are very competitive and affordable. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We recently hosted a family event for approximately 40 people there, and everybody was extremely satisfied. It’s a perfect place for a date night or a big family gathering.“

It is often pricey but everything is high quality and you can’t get the small neighborhood grocery store feel anywhere else. “The service was very good and the food was excellent. We were seated right away and the server brought over water and took our order. All of the dishes we tried were hot and came out quickly. The steamed dumplings had a good amount of filling and were nicely seasoned. The house special noodle soup had chicken, beef, and veal(?) and the noodles still had nice texture, the broth was flavorful. We ate Crispy Beef, Chicken and Tofu and Moo Shu Veal. We had white rice and brown rice. Everything was excellent.“
“Ordered my first time from Bare Naked Bakery at the Plainview location. I ordered 12 gluten free traditional St Joseph pastries. I have got to say they were absolutely delicious and fresh. Fresh being the key word. My celiacs were very happy. They did not disappoint. I’d like to add that the Manager Zach was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.“

“Great staff. It’s very interactive because there’s a white board anyone can right on and the tables have games like tic tac toe and connect four. It is really nice and I recommend going with friends. Also look out for deals. Never got something there and didnt like it. Everything there is a hit.Dietary restrictions: Offer nut free and dairy free and vegan options.Parking: It’s in a shopping center so tons of parking with many people going out and in.Kid-friendliness: Have lots of food portion sizes and games!“

“I am impressed with this Ben's in Carle Place. It's organized, and the workers are pleasant and efficient. We are always in a hurry when we go there, and they take the order and make it up and get us out quickly. It's a pleasure to shop there. I'd give it 5 stars, but it is pricey.“

“The food is always good and I do love coming here. The matzoball soup is one of my favorites. They also have a great wrap it’s like eating Thanksgiving dinner all wrapped up. The knishes are great and just don’t feel as heavy as you expect it to be.My one con was the phone interaction I had. Called in the beginning of the week said I needed something for a party for that weekend, they said I didn’t need to order ahead of time and I can just come in and it would be ready. I asked one more time I didn’t need to make they were cooked or Whatever. They confirmed nope come in and order. I had to drive about 20 miles out of the way to get to the store. I got there to order and they told me they were frozen is that ok? I obviously didn’t buy the frozen product. Your best bet is to just pre order everything or eat in store.“

“Ben's is always good. Their pastrami sandwich is big and very tasty. Chicken salad platter is excellent. Platter is served with 2 large scoops of chicken salad, health salad, potato salad , tomato, hard boiled egg. You do not leave Ben's hungry. Highly recommend it. There is handicap parking in the lot. Wheelchair accessible. There is a bit of a walk from the parking lot. Very busy shopping mall. There is a stop and shop in the complex. So parking can be tight.“
“This place has the best food, period!As good as the food is, nothing compares to their soups. Chicken, Vegetable, Pea, lentil. The soups are the best tasting soup I have ever had. I know that might sound extreme, but it is True!! I hope this review is helpful.“
