“I had a construction project in the neighborhood so i decided to try some Dominican food. I chose the right place; food was delicious. Even the girls didn't speak much English but they try their best to communicate with me.
Bathroom was extremely CLEAN !
I recommend this place to eat your lunch.

“Always busy, clean. Good prices. I have noticed overtime Walmart breads are salty/high in sodium. Whenever I eat I feel so very thirsty. I don't get that feeling at eating bread from elsewhere. Anyways I go there mostly for car oil and Gatorade.“
“super great food, awesome service and the ladies there were top notch. definitely recommend.“

“this place has been open since i was a kid, and as I've grown, it faded off and on of my radar, but when i went back today, i fell in love with it all over again. the waiters and staff are friendly and polite, and all of the food is so fresh and well prepared. i will say the tostones did need some salt, but other than that, im glad i rediscovered this childhood fav of mine ☺️“

“I love an upscale Dominican sports bar and lounge. The baseball game on while I eat dinner the music is at the correct volume and its all Dominican music. The food I had was great I haven't been here in years and it was better than I remember. I had skirt steak, goat stew, chicken croquets, a chimi sandwich, fried chicken and the alfredo pasta. All of it was outstanding. I love to see an old establishment still pumping out classic meals. Definitely love this place.“

“Ordered the family meal with bistec encebollado which my family loved, the white rice could have been better, there was a staple on the bottom of the rice, I am to assume they were grappling and one flew to the tin, not a big deal the family loved the food.
I ordered a mofongo de cerdo, it was not the best; the pork had rib pieces (which I have never had pork like this with mofongo) and the meat was
burnt beyond being edible, I wish the mofongo was more garlicky, the sauce was yummy but again the burnt pieces of pork was somewhat disappointing. If you are a monfingo enthusiast, please do not get your hopes up.
I ordered for delivery.“

“The Dominican Restaurant – Uniondale, NY
This place is absolutely worth the drive — we live almost 40 minutes away, and we still make the trip just for their food! Every dish we’ve tried tastes homemade, full of authentic Dominican flavor and served in generous portions.
The staff is always welcoming and happy, and the service feels genuine — you can tell they take pride in what they do. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful, from the pernil and rice to the beans and salad. Everything tastes like it’s cooked with care.
If you’re looking for delicious Dominican comfort food and friendly service in a casual, family-style atmosphere, this spot is 100% worth visiting. Highly recommend!“

“Don’t even hesitate just go!!! Food is unreal lol Prices might be the best in town and you know that the food is going to be good when another customer has to order it for you due to a language barrier. Wow. The chicken empanadas are to die for. Picture(s) will not do this place enough justice. The bar while you wait for your food is the finishing touch. Might go back tomorrow if they are open“

“My Titi Delilah recommended it, It’s good. Good people. I saved a bee; they always follow me even in winter. They even tried to find a paper but I thought fast ripped the paper….there you go. Bees especially aren’t supposed to be killed. If they go the world goes remember that.
Kid-friendliness: They have some good looking fried chicken Spanish style so you know it has the right amount of flavor. Watch out Popeyes.“

“The food is acceptable but what I liked the most was the sweet plantains that I bought for my whole family. I have given it many chances and I kept buying it but it doesn't improve. It tastes horrible. The bananas are sometimes semi-green, not sweet at all, without any flavor. and they make the pieces smaller and at $5 I wouldn't mind the price as long as it was delicious but it isn't like that I hope they fix it“

“New customer here. This restaurant was recommended by the JP auto people and it did not disappoint.
Context: The stars represent the real value of place, not to say the five star for food here compares with a 5 star Michelin rated establishment that cost 300 percent more.
I ordered half chicken half steak on Spanish rice with a country club Frambuesa Raspberry soda. The bill came to about 15 dollars with tip. They deserve more!
The food was delicious. Chicken was tender and marinated in a flavorful broth. The steak was similarly tender but had additional peppers and onions and other flavors that made it stand out. The rice was full of flavor and really could be it's own meal.
The service was exceptional and the woman at the front desk was very thoughtful and stepped through all the dishes they had to offer while giving great suggestions.
The atmosphere was good to. This is not a fine dining experience, but a local spot for and by locals. I could tell the people that team the business and the patrons of it were friendly and that created a really warm atmosphere.
I recommend you try this place out of you are even curious about Dominican and Spanish food or just want to support a local business.“

“My boss said the best pernil on Long Island is Lucas Dominican on Grand Ave in Baldwin. If you have any stops there, swing by and get yourself a large serving, white rice, smothered in pork gravy.
Frank is many things, but a liar ain't one of 'em.
Moist, succulent pernil! Also, since she offered, the nice young lady offered las tijeras del pernil, for those who know, are the proper cutting tool needed to slather the skin on your order. Thick, crunchy skin placed purposefully on my plate!“

“Yala is such a kind and friendly person, plus her food is delicious. I called to specify that I wanted a dompling because the app did not give me the option to choose the dompling. She took the call and it was a pleasure to speak with such a kind, attentive and pleasant person. Thanks yala. 10/10“
“Walked in for the first time today, and let me tell you the food options are great. I was treated with a smile and the staff was kind in explaining the portions , prices and food options. I took my order (Ox tail and arroz con gandules) to go. But once I got home and took that first bite (Aww Mann), I instantly knew this was only the beginning of many more food orders to come.As of now I highly recommend this place.Note: this is more of a takeout spot as they only have 2 tables.“

“Ordered takeout that was delivered. Great portion sizes, and with 6 orders, it felt like a pallet full of food! Ordered the roast pork, rotisserie chicken, and western omelets. They got the order wrong, and I just received fried omelets instead. Other than that, the food arrived pretty hot, and their roast pork and rotisserie chicken were tender and flavorful. You can split one order for two people with the amount of rice that came with each order.“

“The best of the best Dominican food in queens. Chivo (goat) was ? even if you don’t like goat, you will like their goat. Roast chicken is amazing as well. Beans, rice, tostones, onion, all the Dominican staples are as good as they come. Huge servings, very affordable. It’s a casual restaurant with high quality service. The staff are all very polite. Good place for families - they didn’t mind that our toddler made a mess. I’m def going back again and bringing more friends and family.
Kid-friendliness: They had kid chairs and didn’t mind that our kid made a mess“

“If you’re looking for authentic Dominican food, Quisqueya in Corona, Queens is an absolute must-visit! We tried several dishes, including the oxtail stew, boneless chicken chunks, and Morro rice, but nothing could compare to their mofongo. Hands down, the best I’ve ever had! The mofongo sauce is out of this world – it’s so good, you’d want to drink it by the spoonful.
The staff are spectacular—warm, friendly, and attentive, making the experience even better. The location might seem a bit sketchy at first glance, but don’t let that deter you. Once you step inside, the food and service more than make up for it. Quisqueya is a hidden gem worth discovering!“

“This is my go-to spot, not only because it's close to home, but because the food is delicious. I cook almost everyday at home, but on days when I am not in the mood, this is where I go. Pernil is always good, as is their pollo guisado, carne guisada, and baked chicken. Mangu is on point if you make it for breakfast. Good portions.“
“Visited S&A roti shop January 3rd, 2020 when we visited New York on our road trip. Met her son at the Nike store in Manhattan and he told us about his mom's place. On our way back to Florida we made a slight detour and I must say we were quite impressed on the taste and quality of the food and friendly service we experienced. We hope you come to Orlando and open a restaurant here as discussed when we visited. Sorry, it took a year to write a review. Roger, Marina and Josh“

“Literally a taste of Dominican Republic just in Queens. The clubhouse sandwich is absolutely amazing, the chimi de pollo, Yaroa, their chicken bites and the tostones (tastes like straight from motherland). It’s definitely worth buying, God bless the cooks. The staff, are friendlier in person than on the phone.“
