“Food was good, service was good, I could tell they were a little short staffed but everywhere is. The management the afternoon/evening of 4/7 was very involved in helping to keep things running smoothly.Vegetarian options: There is an option of a black bean burger and they also have the impossible burger“
“I love the Korean BBQ bowl. Such an interesting combination of flavors that you would never think to put together. Perfection! Tastes best if you get it 'to go'. (Maybe the 10-20 minute drive gives the flavors time to "meld" together.“
“Amazing service, delicious food! Wait was a bit long on a Monday night and I can see why. The food came fast and we really enjoyed the fried green tomatoes. My mom loved the wings and we tried a lot of sides with our meats. Everything was so good. I was thinking of adding sauces to the meats but forgot about it, the meats didn’t need any sauce. I’m sure dessert would have been delicious if we weren’t so stuffed to order more. There’s a changing table in the biggest stall in the women’s bathroom for other moms out there.“
“Thank you so much for the food & services. Red Ferns food and desserts are great but I had to mention this unpleasant experience that happened twice in a row.Almond cherry chocolate: energy ballThis is the second time in a week I & my husband once ordered and other time picked up these balls, there is a very weird smell and taste that’s coming, I feel the nuts put in here are eliminating a Flavour & odor which is very unpleasant. I ordered this yesterday 03/16/24. I could not reach out to them immediately as we ate this later and by the time we inform Red fern they were closed and they remain closed until Monday. I will be there on Tuesday with the energy balls.Kindly Please check the balls and then serve.“
“They may not only be the #1 wine bar in the city, their kitchen is top notch as well. The service was on point from start to end. I will always remember how delicious the lamb sausage is when paired with Alpha Estate sauv blanc. Its a must try establishment. Thank you!“
“Strangebird is a beautiful space and was bursting with energy when I stopped in for dinner. The decor reminded me of NYC or San Francisco, inspired design. The beers on tap are not your ordinary IPAs although they have a few of those. Sours, Belgians, and other interesting brews. I took home Mount Hope which is a lager with Pinot Noir grapes. I enjoyed the beers I tried, it pays to experiment. The food for me was decent, I opted for the smash-burger, which was serviceable, but the pizza looks like a good option. I would return to Strangebird. Outstanding service at the bar.“
“Absolutely great. From the people, to the design, to the food; of course. We had not been before last night which was a shame as I guess we stick to our normal places too much. But from the moment we walked in, every staff member was a absolute delight.Scott our waiter was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. We started with the REDD Wings. They are Thai Chili coated with sesame seeds and spring onions. They were perfectly cooked with an amazing crunch. We couldn't have been more happy with the perfect balance of sweet and heat, and the decadent flavor.Personally I was torn between two specials, and the classic steak on offer on the regular menu. The one special was basically a comfort food; the classic beer battered fish fry, which ultimately Scott recommended since it was a special that is only available during Lent. This choice was amazing. He was right in that it was a basic fish fry, but elevated. The fish was tender and flaky, with a perfect beer battered shell that had a great crunch. The fries were great and handcut with a pillowy softness to them, but the tartar sauce was absolutely killer. And while the fish fry was an absolute stand out on its own; that tartar sauce just pushed it to the stratosphere! Get this if you see it on their menu.My wife got the Wild Fluke with Clams. The presentation of the dish was amazing, with a creamy sauce, tender clams, a flaky fish, and a rice base that absolutely was creamy and delicate holding onto the sauce. She usually sticks to basics, but went off her beaten path, and she was glad she did.For drinks we tried a couple of their specialty ones. My wife had the spicy margarita which was amazingly complex, and not too spicy. But it is a back of the throat spice if that sort of thing bothers you. I had the Negroni which was great as well. I've found you can tell a bartenders skill based on how well blended their Negroni is, and this one was masterfully crafted. Before I get to the deserts, their desert spoons have what seem to be a dent in them. It's supposed to be there. It's a French Sauce/Desert spoon that is supposed to allow the sauce or glaze of a desert enter the spoon without having to tip it too far and lose your bite on the utensil. Also, you may notice a small fork with a thick tine on it. That's a desert/pastry fork. The thicker tine is meant to replace you having to use a knife to cut the cake or pastry. The more you know. For desert was the decadent chocolate cake for my wife. It was rich and creamy with a scoop of ice cream. Great stuff. I had the Sticky Toffee Pudding which was fantastic as well, with the same requisite scoop of ice cream. So, after all that, just to once again say, this restaurant and it's food and people are well worth the visit. If you haven't been due to sticking with your normal haunts, you owe it to yourself to try it. Or, if you just only do a nice yearly sit down for a special occasion, make it here. After my friends and family all raving about REDD, I just wish my wife and I had tried it sooner.“
“Went here on a whim the day of the eclipse.Since it was so cloudy we were looking for distraction and heard the beautiful sound of Leecy & Greg's live music. Wow! We decided to stay for dinner and drinks and to watch the darkness of the totality from the beer garten. Service was amazing not even taking into account the size of the crowd. Our food was so delish and the apricot cider and the Ruby Red Kolsch, which we ended up getting a 12 pack to take home with us, were ???If I'm ever in Rochester again I'll be hitting up this gem on the Genesee River by the falls!Dietary restrictions: They have a helpful section on their online menu that shows the dietary restrictions of each dish if any.“
“Whew ? where do I begin I had an appointment in the area when I left I was famished googled breakfast in the area Highland Park Diner popped right up it was literally 3 minutes away from where I was I ordered several things to get a . The Banana Foster French Toast was simply amazing!!! The ☘️ Irish Omelet was perfect for me I ordered mine with grits in a country girl I love grits with wheat toast it was nicely toasted and buttered I couldn’t stop eating the toast my goodness, finally I asked her to pick something random we settled on the Country Skillet excellent choice it was sooo good the portion sizes are a good size I think my total came to like $47.00 the food is Divine, the prices are fair, the location is convenient first time coming I’ll be back with the family next all this was for me this time. If I could give 10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would.“
“Stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday evening. What a great spot! The food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and I was able to park right outside the door. I was here meeting a work colleague, and I will definitely be bringing my family back to dine.“
“Never been at that location before. Best Ground cheeseburger Hamburg in a long time. Good size including bun. One little bump in the road. Wouldn't it be nice to train young help (young girls) when taking orders to be a little more cheerful. No expression!! Robot like!!How about acting like your a live person "" can I help u."" Otherwise all was fine.Parking: Very good“
“Some of the most amazing comfort food in Rochester. It’s restaurant quality food, but it tastes like it’s homemade with love at the same time. The owner is also supportive of human rights movements, so it’s a wholesome business all around!“
“Awesome food.Very accomodating - they provided a sort of cradel thing that I was able to put a baby carrier into so we didn't have to wheel my daughter's stroller in.1 and only complaint is that it was way too crowded. Time to expand.“
“Food is really good and service is also greatThe fries have great seasoningThe only complaint I have is the chairs inside while light weight and easy to move are super uncomfortable and if you are 50-60 pounds overweight are a tad tight and the metal is not very comfortable at all and hurt to sit inI’m still giving a 5 star review because the food is what is important and I will eat here again“
“We are always so welcomed and feel at home when we come here. This is our place to go after a long days work. The food is always solid. Amazing beer selection.. and best of all amazing service. Our Bartender Julie is so personable and real. We had the French dip tonight and it was amazing!! Wings great as always!!“
“Girlfriend and I went to Rooney’s last night for Valentine’s Day. Every thing we ordered was cooked perfectly and delicious. We had the plantain crusted shrimp with mango salsa, salads, and beef tenderloins with potatoes and brussel sprouts. Excellent service. Can’t wait to go back!“
“This place is awesome, fast, affordable especially with a family of 5 and the food is delicious. The only thing I question is the kids meal comes with free ice cream if they're good. Both times we went we had to ask for it. The scoops of ice cream as a dessert are expensive so I don't know if they're trying to save on cost. It'd be nice to be asked if they want it. Regardless of that we'll be regular weekend customers ?❤️ I had biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. They were super tasty!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu options“
“How lucky we were to discover this gem! We enjoyed perusing the menu and the variety of entrees. There was a simple elegance in the food presentation and flavors, however the dessert case was a show stopper! Everything oozed freshness, flavor, and shine. It was as good as it looked! Someone knows what they're doing and someone cares. The service was attentive, warm, and considerate. Do not let the ordinary location put you off. They have created their own corner of the world where quality matters. I plan to return again and again. It's just that good.“
“The food here is really good! They have a limited menu, which allows their food to be delicious. They even have a vegetarian option, which I feel like you don't often see on limited menus. Our server was very attentive and checked on us several times without being over the top. The inside of the restaurant is nice and quiet...easy to have a conversation.“
“No matter the season, always a great atmosphere either inside or outside. Had Sunday "brunch" with a couple of pints. The salty breakfast pizza was perfect for two. The beer cheese adds great flavor to it. IBC is becoming one of my favorite venues!“
“Excellent in every possible way!The food is excellent every time, in both quality and consistency. Salads, breakfast sandwiches, soups and wraps—all made from fresh and high quality ingredients! Even the simplest menu item is sure to please! The Lobster Bisque is especially out of this world and hard to beat. I tour all over Rochester as a private food critique and have yet to find a better one. You have to be early and you have to be quick because this soup gold can only be snatched—on Fridays! ( Come on L&B give the people more LB! )The service at Leaf & Bean is always friendly and expedited well. Leaf & Bean is clean, organized and well maintained. The owner frequents the store and I have seen him play many rolls to keep this cafe’ thriving. The atmosphere is happening at mealtime yet completely inspiring for this local author’s out of house writing time. It’s a great spot (indoors or out) to knock out a few hours of editing, personal business or in-person mentoring. I love my in house Double Cappuccino Italiano, and my husband can’t rave enough of their Cronuts!Their packaged cookie provider, “Jacks Sweet Shack,” whom bakes from a local kitchen, is a delicious addition that allows this town to support yet another local entrepreneur.Leaf & Bean Coffee Co. is Chili New York’s secret gem, make the stop!“
“World class beers & excellent food. The staff is well versed in the product, and the hand-made bar and tables are gorgeous.2024 Update. It's only gotten better.Dietary restrictions: Good options for vegetarian and vegan.Wheelchair accessibility: Completely accessible“
“This place is such a hidden gem. The food was spectacular and there’s a ton of options for food as well as drinks. The JEF Panini was to die for and the quiches were really good as well. The building is adorable and the atmosphere was really fun. I highly recommend this place.Kid-friendliness: The staff is super friendly and the table markers have fun history facts.“
“Love this place. Wings and burgers are exceptional. In fact, wings are some of the best in the area. Haven’t tried the pizza yet but everyone loves it. Reasonable prices. Service is top notch. Great atmosphere. Fun people. A good place to watch the game.and have a few drinks.“
“Always delicious food with great servers. We haven't had the opportunity to hear live music yet, but the patio is our favorite spot to dine when weather allows.Kid-friendliness: Great with kids. They have crayons and coloring books for great entertainment. Good kids menu.“
“Atlas Eats is an absolute Gem in the Rochester area, and is a favorite date night for my husband and I. It's a tiny restaurant with a set multi-course menu that changes every 1-2 weeks. The owners bring amazing food from their adventures around the world, and it always ends up being a treat. Check the menu, usually posted Monday/Tuesday on Insta and Facebook, and make reservations early if it sounds good!Vegetarian options: While the menu is fixed, and in general there are no substitutions... they make sure to offer vegetarian options on the menu whenever they can. Make sure you let them know ahead of time!Parking: Atlas is tucked away in the middle of a neighborhood. They have a bunch of parking behind the restaurant, and if happens to fill up the streets around generally have parking options available. We've never struggled with parking.“
“Please start taking reservations!!! I’ve tried to go 4 different times over the last couple of months now with a wait time of 1.5hrs or more. I love this restaurant and luckily there are good options close by but haven’t even been able to enjoy Vern’s in far too long because of the wait.“
“Well, it's hard to give an accurate description of the Willow on just one visit during a rocking band jam. DR. MOXY? was an epic cover band and spot on that night. Drinks were managed well considering how packed it became in an instant. The place was clean and prices a bit high that night. We'll assume DR MOXY? has a minimum fee for providing sell out numbers.? All that said, I give em a 3.5 for being a small venue and having not ate that night ✌️?“
“My husband and I came here for the first time this past weekend. We were immediately seated after confirming our reservation, and our server (I wish we got his name/remembered!) was amazing!! He was very good about telling us where everything was sourced from, and he was also very convincing about how good the food they served was. I was interested in the Amish Chicken but was skeptical since I had no idea what a cream sherry was. When I asked him about it, he answered that it was rich in flavor and that he really enjoyed it. He must have still sensed my hesitancy and said, "Would you like to try some?", which I was so surprised about! He brought me over a small bowl with the cream sherry, and it was really good (savory with slight tartness to it). Everything we ordered was amazing, but it was his service that really made our experience so wonderful - thank you SO much!! We will definitely be back again!“
“My wife and I had a wonderful night out at this establishment. Food will definitely keep us coming back. As well as the great waitress and manager Angelina who were all very welcoming & made sure we had all we needed throughout our meal.“
“It was our first time dining in Nosh, We loved the location, tucked in a corner of downtown Rochester NY, easy parking, no traffic, the restaurant was like a warehouse style, the sound echoes back big time, so inside the restaurant there was big noise pollution. The waitress was good, the food was good too. A drink , cowboy hat or something, paired well with my seafood, a coincidence. It was two birthday celebrations. First time experience, reservation, required a deposit of $ 200, my , my my. Overall a good place to dine.“
“I absolutely love The Owl House! I haven't been since 2012 when I visited Rochester. I moved here recently, so my friend and I came for brunch. He's vegan, and they have so many awesome vegan options! He had vegan stuffed French Toast that was awesome! The vegan cinnamon struessel tasted so good too! I had The Cat's Pajamas cocktail but with pomegranate because I'm allergic to strawberries and it was delightful! And the Owl House Breakfast was WOW! Those potatoes were FANTASTIC! Everything was fantastic. I can't wait to come back for more. I'm so glad I live close now!The staff is amazing too! So positive and helpful and lovely. Such a fantastic spot!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and vegan options!Dietary restrictions: Allergy friendly!“
“Wow! It had great reviews so we decided to try. It was Friday Fish Fry. Halibut. This was some incredible fried halibut. One HUGE pc....very fresh too! I chose fries & onion rings. They were great too. My son had a burger, sweet potato fries, and a shake. He destroyed his food too! The sweet potato fries were probably the best I've ever tasted.“
“Great food! Great music! The sound was on point! This little venue is so intimate. It just invites people in to have nothing but a good time. This thing you might be small but the bands they bring in are not! I recommend this place highly if you're looking to have a good time with some good music and some good people!“
“I give this place 5 stars not because it is very upscale, but the food is always hot, exactly as ordered, tasty, and the customer service is great. I've been 3x so far, and have added this place to my list of go to breakfast/brunch spots. Every time I've gone the crowd has been middle and upper aged, of all demographics, and pleasant. I will definitely be back, and recommend it to tjose who prefer good food and qaulity customer service. I'll also add, I took my 4 yr old with me on my second visit, and all staff were very pleasant with her even after she knocked a cup of tea over. This may seem a small deal to some, but how you're treated, especially with children, tells a lot about a business.“
“My second dining experience at Bad Apples BistroIt was Ginny's birthday and she chose the place. It was her third time dining there. There is no full bar service -only beer and wine are available. We both had interesting salads. My $14 Vegan Capri salad was tasty but a bit pricey. Ginny's Beet and Apple salad at $9 was a relative bargain and should be touted as a Bistro signature salad. My $17 Fish Fry was a relative bargain. The Haddock was encased in a crisp crunchy coating reminiscent of pre-breaded frozen fish that seemed oven-baked. The shoestring-cut Sweet Potato fries were an over-salted side. The Green Apple Slaw was interesting.Ginny's $42 center-cut 8oz. Filet Mignon served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and charred asparagus, finished with Cabernet demi was good with one exception -It was way over-salted!Along with our meals, Ginny had a $10 glass of wine, and I had an $8 The Kind India Pale Ale from Three Heads Brewery.Ginny chose to sit on a bench-style seat that lined the west wall of the dining area. I sat opposite her on a spartan steel-legged padded chair. There was a tiny table between us. Overall the indoor dining facility is tiny and spartan. When we arrived at 4 pm we had the place to ourselves and it remained so through the course of our dining experience. Still, there was a somewhat disturbing level of commotion from the proprietors and what seemed like their immediate family. When we were seated I mentioned to our server that it was Ginny's Birthday. At the end of the meal, our server pleasantly surprised us by comping Ginny with a serving of Chocolate Lava cake that had a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream with a candle on top.The total bill with tax and tip was $122“
“Fantastic!Cocktails, food, service and atmosphere are perfect. I highly recommend the deviled eggs as appetizers. My friend had the salmon and ate every last bite. I had the burger and cleaned my plate. It's a little pricey, but worth it. Also easy parking if their lot is full there is another lot right next door. Make reservations and enjoy!“
“I love this cute spot in the Winton area. My friend was running late so I went to the bar and had a great. The bartender was great. She asked if I wanted their special, I can't recall the name of the drink, but it was grapefruit base margarita. It was delicious. My friend got there we sat in their outdoor area. It is a cute setup and a nice evening sitting outside. The waitress ( I didn't catch her name, but I want to assume that she is new at being a server ??) told us the specials and I asked if their chicken Tuscan pasta dish was the same dish that was posted on their FB page yesterday and she said she didn't know because she didn't work that day. I asked for a straw and never received it. She didn't refill our waters when needed, and the biggest thing was when she brought our check with our cards, she was trying to multi-task with having a tray of drinks and trying to put the booklet onto our table, she ending tossing it to our table. I have never gone to a restaurant where they toss anything onto my table. I do hope she was new at being a server and it that never happens again. (The food we ordered was delicious. We had the spring pea and asparagus Risotto, creamy and absolutely tasty. We also ordered the Fungi pizza, if you love mushrooms, this is the pizza you will love. Crust was crispy, and the combination of the ingredients was great!)“
“I was in town for business and we went here for dinner. What can I say amazing. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was perfect. And the service was great. Keep up the great work. I look forward to coming back when I’m back in town. Thanks for a great evening.“
“Arlington Restaurant is a culinary delight! Their diverse menu offers something for everyone. The customer service is outstanding, with friendly staff catering to your every need. Whether you're in the mood for comfort food or something more exotic, Arlington Restaurant delivers a satisfying dining experience.“
“I never thought of Shrimp and Grits together or for that matter as a breakfast meal. It was wonderful they paired perfectly and the gravy with bacon, mushrooms and onions make it a treat that I look forward to every other time I go. The other times I go I try the rest of the menu. All the items are excellent.“
“Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch. The food was delicious. I ordered the Keto Scramble, so yummy. My friends ordered the Avocado Toast Turn’t Up and the Better Than BLT and they thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Love the atmosphere and friendly service. Highly recommend.“
“Found a gem this past weekend! Clean cozy little restaurant on Buffalo Rd. Went for breakfast and it was sooooo good. Typical breakfast menu with a couple of specials including Frittatas. The number one thing that impressed me most was everything was hot. Not warm it was hot, which is not easy to do. Hash browns were crispy, pancakes and French toast were tender, sausage was tasty and not greasy, eggs were hot! The waitress was attentive and friendly and our coffee mugs were never empty. Do yourselves a favor and try Ezzys!“
“Went for chicken wings. Multiple selections for everyone in our party. Had two wings on my plate extra-extra crispy. Only a one off or I would have mentioned it. Our first time, other couple was there multiple times.Typical bar with tables, extensive menu selections.Would return again.“
“Sunny’s has become a staple for my family and I when we travel out to Rochester every month for appointments at Strong Memorial Hospital.I’ve never had a bad meal or bad experience there. The food is hot and delicious, and the service is quick and accurate!Definitely stop in there and check it out!“
“This place smelled of moth balls upon entering, its dingy as all hell and the poor bartender was overwhelmed from a pre concert crowd but this place was AWESOME. The wings and other fried goodies were excellent. It may be a biker bar some days, an Irish bar some days and possibly a music venue on others. I'm definitely gonna watch their concert list and make the drive back. If I lived in Rochester this place would be my home base. Free parking in back. If you're familiar with (or from) Buffalo, think old Pink meets Tudor lounge meets Brick Bar. With PARKING! If drinking mixed drinks order doubles. They use pint glasses...“
“Went here a couple weeks ago with my daughter. The food was amazing! She asked for milk, which wasn't on the menu, but between the cooks and the waitress they accompanied her request and that was much appreciated. I will definitely go back for a fish fry to go! I want to try the chowder too!“
“Oyster nights on Tuesdays are the best, delicious high quality oysters for $1 each. We usually get a couple appetizers (the duck fat fries and fried calamari are consistently delicious). I had a glass of white Bordeaux and ended up getting another one because it was so good. The cocktails are pretty good too and the desserts are delicious (I like the crème brûlée). Oysters take a little while so if that’s why you’re coming make sure to get an appetizer if you’re hungry. Good service and lovely ambiance.“
“The Angry Goat Pub may just be my favorite bar in Rochester. The food and service alone make this one of the best neighborhood bars you can find. As a self-proclaimed garbage plate enthusiast and expert, Angry Goat Pub is in my top 3 favorite plates in Rochester. The main difference between this plate and others you can find in Monroe County is that the homefries are swapped for garlic Parmesan fries, and the meat sauce has goat cheese stacked on top. It's just so good and filling- I had it yesterday and I still haven't felt the feeling of hunger in almost 24 hours. Also importantly, Angry Goat's kitchen is open very late, which is the perfect time to eat one of their plates. The service has also consistently been great. Sometimes at dive bars getting served on a busy night can be a hassle, but here we have been treated very well and served efficiently. There has also been live music here on a pretty consistent basis, but I haven't seen anything like that here. For those looking for a neighborhood bar in the South Wedge, this is definitely the spot to be. Street parking can be a bit of a hassle, so just be careful if driving in.“
“Update as of Mar 9,2024 Server great, my steak was small and wife’s took three tries before they brought her one that was not moooing . Loaded bake potatoes had a very light load. Cost was $95.00 , they need to try harder . Oh and thousand island dressing was watered down , cheese cake was good .“
