“My wife and myself have been going to the Hurley Mountain Inn for years. The owner Steve and his staff are amazing. When you walk through the door you get treated like family. With a wide variety of great food to choose from there is something for everyone. There is also a great selection of drink to choose from as well. Anything from beer, wine and ciders as well as a variety of different soda’s to choose from. If you like a country atmosphere and great service that is prompt and courteous, then this place is for you. I’m give this a Five ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ raining.“

“I could scream this place is so good. Went on a totally random whim looking for something nearby and holy hell this place is incredible in every way and if I lived anywhere nearby I would basically move in.

The vibes are amazing - such highly curated art and seating from intimate booths to living room sofas and chairs. There’s tons of varied seating up front and then more tables and a wraparound bar in the back. It feels like a cozy 70s basement bar in Greenpoint.

Then there’s the food, omg. We tried the deviled eggs, fried chicken, brisket nachos, fries, and kale salad. All were 10/10. And cocktails were also delish.

“Top shelf!!! We had a group of 17 for lunch. Everyone raved about the excellent food and the wonderful and friendly service. Our menu included London Broil, Salmon, Ceasars Salad with Chicken and Vegetable Quiche with side salad. We had a variety of servings. Everything was sooooo good! Best restaurant in Kingston. “We had a special couples meal tonight at Silvia . The hostess greeted us with a smile and showed us to a corner table ; perfect for a one on one chat . Our server Ally was knowledgeable and very personable ..on her recommendation we started with a house-made ginger rosemary non alcoholic drink ..wow ! Then we had oysters and the prosciutto and figs ..both were excellent ..our mains were the mushroom and asparagus over pasta and the smoked pork chop on polenta ..OUTSTANDING . Ally was attentive without being intrusive .. The manager stopped by to thank us for coming in . All the staff seem happy and effective ..great space , lovely vibe . we drove 75 min for the meal and it was well worth it ., HIGHLY RECOMMEND“

“Stonehedge has always been a favorite restaurant for our family. Unfortunately due to life circumstances we hadn’t been there for a couple of years. My husband and I decided to end the drought and went to celebrate our anniversary and we are so glad we did. Everything was even better than we remembered it. It started with the delicious and wonderfully fresh dinner rolls that we’ve always loved. The French onion soup was the best I’ve had in ages (I’m a French onion soup snob😂) and the baked stuffed clams were just as my husband remembered them. The dinner salad with the house dressing was cold and fresh, and we highly recommend the double cut pork chop and the jumbo shrimp francaise as dinner entrees. We both left full and more than satisfied - they never disappoint! Thank you to the folks at Stonehedge for the great meal and good service. It felt like we were coming home! We promise you’ll see us again soon.“

Waitress was nice and polite but should have checked at least once for drink refills. I tried to make reservations for my car club to come there on a given Sunday and time in May, about 10 of us, but was told they don't do that. I guess it's first come, first serve for seating. We want to eat together and would arrive about 1:30PM. I thought we could secure the back room, but no was the answer. It's ok. I understand. No hard feelings. “Usually offers good bread. But is very wishy washy on their "old bread sales" prices. If it's a day old it should be discounted - period. (I have worked for almost four years in a bakery) This is being aggregated by the fact that I was not notified of this pricing structure when I asked for day old bread (with the specific intend to get a discount for something that is not fresh and won't last me as long). Had I been informed about this, I would have just bought the same bread *fresh* - for the *same price*. I feel that the omission of this fact is even done purposely to mislead customers.“

“Last Sunday, I celebrated my 70th birthday at home and decided to hire a catering service, knowing I did not want to do the work myself.
I chose Stone Soup, a small street-front food store in Kingston near my location. This business has been in the area for more than 17 years, offering catering services and serving the local community breakfast, lunch, and dinner with healthy and delicious food. Gwenn Sorensen, the owner, and her team deliver magnificent service to our community. She is a very special person, soft, well-spirited, and highly knowledgeable about food. She comes from an Austrian European background, has a refined palate, and provides excellent recommendations to her clients. The chef, Steve, her husband, is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of New York.
I was awe-stricken by the quality and presentation of the food, as well as the excellent service her team delivered. Most of my guests asked who prepared the food, and, obviously, I passed along her information.
I knew, from the first time I met Gwenn — before I even considered hiring her as my caterer — that I would be in good hands because of her professionalism, excellent customer service, pleasant personality, and the food she and her husband cook for the daily customers.
If you need a catering service, do not look further —Stone Soup is your place. I highly recommend this business.“

“I went in here last night and sat at the bar. At first, the bartender was a little bit rude. But he came around and was fine after that. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza. It was huge. It could easily have fed 2 people. The pizza was very good. Not the best I've ever had, but very solid indeed. The wine pour was also very generous. The prices were very modest My only negative was that it's very noisy. Maybe a few properly placed plants, but a good experience all in all.“

“After I hyped up this restaurant to a friend, we experience very poor customer service. First, it took about 15 to 20 minutes for someone to greet us once we were seated. Then she took our drink order and it took another 15 to 20 minutes for her to show up with those drinks. Once the meal was ordered and arrived. We did ask for more bread and a refill on our drinks . Again playing the waiting game to when I finally got up with my bread basket and walked to the front hostess counter and asked for some help. She promptly assisted in getting us another basket of bread and then saw that our drinks were empty so she did refill our drinks. However, I did inform her that the waitress did offer to do that and then we never saw her again. We ordered a full meal with dessert and I expected them to maybe comp us for the dessert since we had such a terrible service experience but they were not willing to do that. The food was excellent but once the service is poor it ruins the whole experience“

“I’ve struggled with finding really delicious wings in the area. It seems like Buffalo was the only place to go-until now. I was recommended to this place and I’m very happy with the quality of the wings. I had Thai and extra hot wings. The only thing is that the extra hot wasn’t hot at all to me. But that’s just me and that certainly doesn’t take away from the quality of the food and the excellent service. Next time I’ll just specify exactly how hot I want the wings. I highly recommend Hickory to anyone who is looking for delicious smoked food.“

“Picked up an awesome meal last night from here. I was amazed that everything was accounted for and they didn't skimp on anything. Was a very pleasant experience and the food was very good. Also very reasonably priced. The woman at the to go counter was very nice too. She does a good job. I wish I would've tipped more now, but now I know for next time. Most places always forget something or mess up something, but my dinner was spot on. My order was ready right on time as well.“

“My girlfriend and I dined at Butterfield during our stay in the Hudson Valley from October 17th to 19th, and it was truly one of the highlights of our weekend. A huge part of that experience was thanks to Peter, whose service was nothing short of exceptional — professional, attentive, and genuinely warm.

Peter went above and beyond to make our evening memorable, offering great conversation and fantastic local recommendations for vineyards to visit and even a whiskey distillery, Tuthilltown, which ended up being one of the standouts of our trip.

The food was excellent as well. My girlfriend ordered the roasted chicken, and she said it was the best she’s had in quite some time — and she’s a publicist in NYC who frequents fine dining establishments, so that’s high praise.

Peter’s combination of hospitality, local insight, and sincerity elevated our dinner from simply enjoyable to truly unforgettable. Butterfield and Hasbrouck House are lucky to have him. We’ll definitely return on our next Hudson Valley visit.
