“We had a last minute reservation for 8 people, and we were lucky enough to snag a table. YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE! Our entire table loved the food. From the appetizers (the warm bread, the amazing carmalized onion spread, & the Calamari), to the main courses (the NY strip steak, the shrimp, and the ravioli), to the dessert (trust me... get the bread pudding!) everything was impeccable. “Hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here and we are SO glad did - everything was perfect! Everyone could not get over how delicious all the food was. Danny worked with us to create a menu that was tailored to us and our guests and we got SO much food included in the package we did. He also worked with us to create table arrangements that worked best for our event. I was worried at first that the space only being partially private and not a true private room would be an issue but it was not at all! We really didn’t need it and were happy to still get to enjoy the Sinatra singer that plays for the restaurant that night. He even came over and sang for our party and had us dance which was not expected but a fun surprise that we loved! Overall we had a great event here and I am so happy we chose them to host it!“

“Meta always goes above and beyond for a fabulous dining experience. This past Sunday, I called to see if it was possible to bring in an Elvis impersonator for my Dad who is in remission from cancer. Not only was Roberto and his staff receptive to the idea, the whole restaurant was singing along with Elvis and all of us. This night was truly magical and I cannot thank Roberto and his staff enough for making my Dad’s dining experience so memorable. The food was amazing, the drinks were flowing and the dessert was delicious. If you haven’t tried Meta, I highly recommend this fine restaurant for a wonderful night 🎉“

Sadly this restaurant is not the same anymore. The bread wasn’t fresh, was too thin and crunchy whereas it used to be soft and fluffy. The pappardelle bolognese is nowhere near what it used to be. The paninis aren’t pressed enough and have lost their delicious taste. The chicken francese was very salty. The dining experience is not cozy anymore, it’s awfully loud to the point you cannot have a conversation. I write this review in good faith in hopes it can be restored to its previous glory. Sadly I will not be coming back.

“One of the best Italian restaurants in Lynbrook or anywhere else. They use the freshest and highest quality ingredients and prepare the food exquisitely. I ordered takeout tonight for six people in my extended family and served it family style, and everyone was raving about the food. We ordered Scallops Oreganato, Shrimp Stuffed with Crabmeat, Chicken Francese, Zuppe di Clams White Sauces and a few appetizers and it was all superbly prepared. Several of us were from other towns and repeatedly asked me how to find this place so they could visit in the near future.“
