“Recently came in here for the first time with a friend. We ate at the bar and the food was amazing. The bartender Julianna was so much fun and quirky; she added so much to the atmosphere and the experience! Drinks were also amazing! Definitely recommend trying this place out!“

“What a delicious, pleasant surprise this little restaurant was! When I walked in I honestly didn't expect too much because it was small and completely empty, and could have been a little cleaner. However the food was outstanding, and I am VERY picky. My friend and I split a ginormous Greek salad (the stuffed grape leaves were unbelievable), and we each ordered a gyro. Mine was chicken and so good! We also ordered the side of fries, and for $4 we received a large basket of fresh, hand cut, perfectly cooked fries. I don't live anywhere New Rochelle but I'm hoping to make it back there!“

“Just got home with our food that we ordered on the phone. This was our second time ordering from Yassou. We enjoyed our chicken gyros so much the first time that we ordered them again. Plus we ordered two sides - gigante beans and rice pilaf. The beans were absolutely delicious, however the rice pilaf was a big disappointment. First of all, it was not rice pilaf. It was basic basmati rice and worse was, it was seasoned with cilantro. Cilantro?? In a Greek rice side dish? And you pay $9.00.“

“As always, we had a fabulous meal at Lefteris. Nicholas, our waiter, is great. He is welcoming, friendly and he takes good care of his customers. The meal, from the appitizer through desert and cappucino is always fabulous. The atmosphere is warm and the layout is great.
If you haven't tried Lefteris, don't delay! You won't be dissapointed.“

“Above all this new owner created a new atmosphere that seems very charming and comfortable. For my time here I received chocolate chip pancakes(a stack of four) w/ 2 hash browns and they were very tasty and filling. The chocolate pancakes weren’t too sweet but very carb heavy. I got a crazy potato with a cheese stick. It wasn’t dry nor too moist, the softest part was definitely the inside with the cheese. I also got a sunshine slush and a mango slush. The sunshine was a mango and strawberry mix with the same flavored bubbles and some small jelly cubes that were a happy surprise. The mango slush is much more recommended since it wasn’t too sweet and would relate more towards a frozen agua Fresca so very refreshing and light.

“Delicious, healthy, and fresh food. One of my favorite restaurants. Great for taking out when you don’t feel like cooking lunch or dinner, or for dining in. Good vegetarian options too. And my absolute favorite frozen yogurt. Nothing compares to it. So good.“

“I love the fact that they're open for breakfast and lunch for the days I need to get a late breakfast or early lunch and lunch places aren't open until after 11. I always get their traditional gyro, but I recently tried their butternut squash soup and loved it. I'm definitely going to have to get more of it the next time I go just to take home. Not much of an "atmosphere" but to be fair a lot of places with a lot of take out don't have much atmosphere, but the staff are nice and have character.“

This kind of environment motivates me as well as many others to come back. Always leave with a full stomach and a smile on my face. There needs to be more people and places like this. “The food here is great. The atmosphere and service are top notch. One thing I'd recommend anyone who is ordering the chicken and lamb over rice is to get more cucumbers. The most delicious bites were the ones with cucumbers mixed in, but sadly by default they don't put much salad and cucumbers. But you can ask for it, so I'd recommend getting extra chopped cucumbers in there, it really goes well with the chicken and lamb and rice.“
