“Went for lunch on a random Monday and had the prefix menu, which was absolutely exquisite. Fresh flavors, great portions, everything and I mean everything was just exquisite. I must stop if you find yourself in Irvington, and order a couple times a week if you’re fortunate enough to live there! This place is that good.“

“First met Danny & his family at their restaurant in Upper Nyack, Casa del Mare. It was our hometown favorite & sad when they closed. THEN we found him here, in Irvington! No place better for pizza, garlic knots & many other favorites. They treat you like family & are always happy to see their Rockland families. It’s worth the trip over the TZ Bridge!! “Stopped for lunch and we were more interested in having sangria than in eating as we were not overly hungry. Have to say the staff were attentive and the food was ok but we paid $35 for a pitcher of white sangria that was very watered down. I had the bistec poblano and he had crispy calamari.“

“We usually dine at the NYC location, but decided to dine here for Thanksgiving. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Service was outstanding . Very accommodating to our dining habits and needs. We never felt rushed and thoroughly enjoyed dining there. That means so much. The Thanksgiving menu had many delicious choices and the portions were perfect. We will return when in the area.“

“The first pie I had from John at Fenice was the Detroit Red...which Tony picked up for me last week when i was at work...i finished the whole pie by just after midnight...but I had to go for the regular NY Cheese pie fresh from the oven. We scored one of the two tables there and were able to decide which of the other slices to bring home...it was like a pizza candy store. We didn't finish our pie so brought home two slices, and I wanted to try John's sicilian, I couldn't leave there without a Detroit Red slice and Tony wanted the multi cheese white pizza...every pizza we tried was perfect! something about the dough. The sauce. The cheese. The dough for the Sicilian and the Detroit Red was light and perfectly crunchy on the bottom. Flavor out of this world. We drove from White Plains just to try Pizza Fenice. worth the trip.“

“I attended a surprise party this Saturday evening. The cuisine was preselected, waiter service was excellent, should receive raises. The table arrangement was very poor. The party was downstairs in one of the private rooms. We were 25 people at one very long table, basically the length of the room, which made it difficult for guests to get around the seated persons at the head of the table on either side. Having two tables would have been a better arrangement, but one long table was not conducive for conversation since we were so far from the other end of the table. The food; not many complaints, I really didn’t have a problem. I didn’t have a lot of food, but it was delicious. The dessert, sorry not very good. Those Famous Crepes(palacinkes) sorry not that great. A lot of crepe and not a lot of filling. The dish was served with fruit, unfortunately this fruit was not in season, so the watermelon although it added color to the dish, upon tasting it, left much to be desired. Why not serve fruit that is in season? No offense to my party hosts who selected my menu for the evening, it didn’t lend itself to the 5 Star Reputation of Dubrovnik’s. I would like to make reservations and splurge on a dinner on my own, I have a feeling I would LOVE the experience! Btw, another plus was the parking!“

“These wings are delicious and I was very impressed... Usually when I bring wings home from any other spot, they're soggy. But this wasn't the case and after about 45 minutes of driving I came home and they were all crispy and fresh and the sauces were great too.... I enjoyed every last one of them....“

“So happy I decided not to go home and cook. I live close by and wanted to try this restaurant for so long. I finally did it. I had the tortilla soup and the flautas. And of course chips with salsa and guacamole. Everything was delicious! Staff was super friendly and attentive. Ambiance is very nice and the music… I was singing and dancing waiting for my food. It was not unusual that, on this week's visit, our party of six couldn't make menu selections 'cause everything sounded so good. No problem, we simply "ordered for the table"! Immediately, the signature Carrot Cake, Mexican Chocolate Covered Churros, Bourbon Glazed Donuts, Cheese Cake, and Vanilla Gelato began to be devoured. “We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was exactly what we wanted. We had ample room for 40 guests and a jazz piano player. From the appetizers, Bellinis, Prosecco, wine and other beverages, to the sumptuous gourmet buffet dinner to the most delicious celebratory cake, everything was PERFECT. “The location of this store is perfect and the food is always great. That being said service can be hit or miss, for lack of better wording. I find that though everyone is always friendly you may find ingredients missing or scarce in the warm bowl or salad that’s been ordered. There may be a lot of turn around in employees so that could account for the discrepancy.“

THIS PLACE!! After a long international flight into JFK and driving back to Boston with hungry kids, I stumbled on Da Giorgio, and it changed everything. The restaurant was packed but we were seated in minutes, surrounded by people talking, laughing, and enjoying themselves.

Our waiter was attentive, dinner started with fresh homemade baked bread and churned butter. Everything looked handpicked, fresh that day, and every dish was outstanding. My wife’s seafood fra diavolo was the best she’s ever had, my kids devoured their pasta, and my spaghetti and meatballs were so good I had to admit (sorry Mom in heaven), even though I'd get slapped for saying, they were the best I’ve ever tasted.

The chef even came out to greet guests.. a rare and special touch. I’ll be stopping here every trip into the City, and I can’t wait to dive deeper and deeper into the extensive and authentic menu. Truly amazing!“

“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!“

Authentic, delicious quality food, friendly service and festive, yet intimate atmosphere.
The restaurant is clean, welcoming, Victor was friendly, helpful and entertaining. I ordered the special, Surf & Turf with diablo sauce as a main dish. Very flavorful. Freshly made guacamole was very good with chunky avocado and lime taste.
