“Went for lunch on a random Monday and had the prefix menu, which was absolutely exquisite. Fresh flavors, great portions, everything and I mean everything was just exquisite. I must stop if you find yourself in Irvington, and order a couple times a week if you’re fortunate enough to live there! This place is that good.“

“First met Danny & his family at their restaurant in Upper Nyack, Casa del Mare. It was our hometown favorite & sad when they closed. THEN we found him here, in Irvington! “This restaurant has potential for people looking for vegetarian dishes but things can be improved.

I ordered the veggie bowl, specifically because it contained avocado. When my plate arrived it was missing two ingredients, the sauerkraut and the avocado. I told the cashier about the missing ingredients and she brought me sauerkraut but they did not have avocado.

This situation could be fixed if the cook had told the cashier that there was no avocado. That way the cashier can tell the customers and they would be able to order another dish. That is how things work in other restaurants.

Additionally, I found the beans a bit bland. The flavor of the beans could be improved by cooking the beans with a little onion and fresh garlic, or a bit of cilantro.

In conclusion, there is a good variety of vegetarian dishes, the experience could be improved by proper communication between the staff and flavor enhancement. I hope to see these changes in the future.“

“These wings are delicious and I was very impressed... Usually when I bring wings home from any other spot, they're soggy. “I attended a surprise party this Saturday evening. The cuisine was preselected, waiter service was excellent, should receive raises. The table arrangement was very poor. The party was downstairs in one of the private rooms. We were 25 people at one very long table, basically the length of the room, which made it difficult for guests to get around the seated persons at the head of the table on either side. Having two tables would have been a better arrangement, but one long table was not conducive for conversation since we were so far from the other end of the table. The food; not many complaints, I really didn’t have a problem. I didn’t have a lot of food, but it was delicious. The dessert, sorry not very good. Those Famous Crepes(palacinkes) sorry not that great. A lot of crepe and not a lot of filling. The dish was served with fruit, unfortunately this fruit was not in season, so the watermelon although it added color to the dish, upon tasting it, left much to be desired. Why not serve fruit that is in season? No offense to my party hosts who selected my menu for the evening, it didn’t lend itself to the 5 Star Reputation of Dubrovnik’s. I would like to make reservations and splurge on a dinner on my own, I have a feeling I would LOVE the experience! Btw, another plus was the parking!“

“The first pie I had from John at Fenice was the Detroit Red...which Tony picked up for me last week when i was at work...i finished the whole pie by just after midnight...but I had to go for the regular NY Cheese pie fresh from the oven. We scored one of the two tables there and were able to decide which of the other slices to bring home...it was like a pizza candy store. We didn't finish our pie so brought home two slices, and I wanted to try John's sicilian, I couldn't leave there without a Detroit Red slice and Tony wanted the multi cheese white pizza...every pizza we tried was perfect! something about the dough. The sauce. The cheese. The dough for the Sicilian and the Detroit Red was light and perfectly crunchy on the bottom. Flavor out of this world. We drove from White Plains just to try Pizza Fenice. worth the trip.“

“We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. “I had an amazing experience from A to Z. The pink appetizer was a wonderful dish made from red cabbage. The grilled calamari stuffed with seafood was unlike anything I've ever had. The stuffed salmon was legendary, and most importantly, the lamb shank that came out of the oven was very good and tender. Everything was delicious, and the service was friendly and very satisfying. “Recently learned about this store from the mail-in coupons. It really makes and serve good from 16 different restaurants, including celebrity chefs like Marc Murphy, Jose Andres, Marcus Samuelsson and Bobby Flay. They restaurant is mostly for take out, but there few tables and standing area to dine-in.I ordered few of the Indian dishes. It takes them about 25-35 minutes, that can be tracked in the app. My oder was ready upon arrival. Really liked the samosa, but the chaat was average. For lamb vindaloo, lamb was super tender, really soft, but the sauce and taste of dish was overpowered by jeera (cumin). Similar feedback for chicken tikka masala. The taste wasn’t good, though the chicken was cooked nicely.Serving dishes from many different restaurants and cuisine really makes me skeptical regarding taste and quality of food served from here. I am still open to try few more courses from here.
