“My brother and I came here for steamy, wonton noodle soup on a cold evening in Flushing. At a 6:40 pm arrival, the staff was kind enough to take our order despite having to close 20 minutes later. We both ordered the three topping noodle soups: he had egg noodles and beef tendon while I had flat rice noodles and beef stew. We had wontons and fish balls in both of our soups as well.
I’m not embellishing when I say this—the food was spectacular. Broth was clean and comforting, beef was tender and flavorful, the wontons were bigger (and better) than expected, and the fish balls went really well with the soup. You could also spice it up with condiments too. For about $13, Maxi’s offers a superb deal. That’s right. They set the bar high.
Tl;dr: Maxi’s Noodle’s has some of the best wonton noodle soups you can get at an affordable price from a staff with incredible hospitality. With their small yet cozy interior, this place is perfect for cold, fall/winter nights. Go visit ‘em!“

“We recently went here for a small family wedding reception. There were many dishes including Assorted appetizers platter of jelly fish, crispy pork intestine, fried fish/ribs; King crab cooked in 3 ways (fried, steamed and soup-style), Ginger scallions lobsters, lobster with snow pea leaves, steamed fish, soup, crispy chicken and Fried tofu with beef, mushrooms and snow peas. All the dishes were seasoned well. I personally like more of the assorted appetizers platter (not a fan of the crispy pork intestine because it has a very unique taste to it) and the lobster with snow pea leaves. These two dishes are differently cooked compared to my experience from other restaurants. There were some friendly servers. An unique aspect of this place is there is an inside entrance to Artisan Tea & Coffee shop right next door. So if you want specialty drinks from Artisan but don’t want to walk in the cold then this inside entrance makes it very convenient.“

“Edit: wanted to update my review that the beef brisket with curry sauce (C2) is crazy good!
Food was fine, never tried hot pot rice before this. It’s cool to see authentic Hong Kong style food in this neighborhood. Interior was comfortable and service was good. To be honest the food was kinda forgettable but I would come back to try other dishes“

“Came here and realized they offered dim sum for lunch service, so this was a must try place in addition to the majority of these restaurants being located in downtown Flushing. We ordered several dim sum dishes and enjoyed them all. Also ordered their beef and bitter melon lunch special with rice and a side of soup. Good sized beef slices and came out piping hot.“

“We ordered takeout. The shaking beef 's beef was very tough. The roti was surprisingly good and the curry that came with it was delicious. The banh mi was okay. They were very busy in store and had a lot of roast meats. I might come back and try to dine in.“

“The reviews on Google are good, so we decided to give it a try. Starting from the Tom Yum Goong soup, to the crispy shrimp balls, to the crispy shell curry chicken, they all taste good. Their medium spicy is slightly spicy. The wait for the braised pork rice was a bit long. The braised pork is salty and suitable for rice. Because the pork tastes strong, a classmate and I don't like it very much. So I mixed the corn with the braised pork sauce and served it with curry chicken. The service in the store is relatively timely, and it can be seen that it is very experienced. You can tell from the menu. The store has a rich menu and has 8 tables. It is a cozy shop. We ate at noon on non-weekends, so we didn't have to wait for a table. The overall feeling is OK.“

“Great place for dim sum. The staff was incredibly friendly. Dim sum was good some dishes were great and one or two I've had better but I'd like to come back to see if it was just an off day for those specific items. Still a good deal for the price.“

“TL;DR: Tasty wontons paired with OK broth at affordable prices.*****I traveled with my semi-picky eater Viet mom, and she told me that morning she craved mi hoanh thanh (wonton). My homie, Jando S, recommended this restaurant on the corner of Prince Street and 40th Road.Things to know:*****I. FOOD & DRINK: They clearly layout their menu (comprised of three pages) underneath the glass on each table and side. Most things on their menu range from the $5s to the $9s. Their most basic wonton soup only costs $6.75. and the most expensive one goes up to $9 (Dumpling Trio Lo Mein). Mom had the basic and I dove into their latter.*Dumpling Trio Lo Mein: Consists of three different kinds ((pork) wonton, shrimp, and shrimp and watercress and comes with broth on the side, which you can easily pour back into your bowl if you'd like. My favorite was the shrimp. What I love about their dumplings is the filling-to-dough ratio. Especially their shrimp dumpling. Other restaurants cut up the shrimp into too small of pieces, and at Sifu they leave large chunks of shrimp making for fantastic, tasty bite ratios.NBD, but the only thing I didn't love was their broth. Just tasted a bit under seasoned.I also tried their Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce ($5.50), and even though tasty they overcooked it. Not crunchy at all. They also serve basic tea found at any Chinese restaurant.II. SERVICE: Very fast. We received our food within ten minutes of being seated.III. AMBIANCE & DÉCOR: Not too many tables (maybe ten?). This is the type of place you take a wifey and not a first date, nah mean? I also loved the Chinese brotha sitting next to us who unapologetically played some show on full blast via his cell phone. lol.IV. PRICES: Hella affordable. Cash only.V. OVERALL: If I lived in the neighborhood, I'd eat here on the reg.“

“If you like stone bowl rice or want to try Cantonese cuisine, I highly recommend this place. My friends and I all ordered different dishes, and I particularly liked the pork belly my friend chose more than the Cantonese sausage I got. I def plan to return in the future to explore more of the stone bowl rice options. The prices are very reasonable, making it a great value overall.“

“TLDR: Looking for a solid HK style spot, Sweet Wonton is a good choice. Definitely get the house special rice noodle stir-fry, personally I like switching it to the thinner rice noodles. Tasty wonton/dumplings too!
Little Neck has pretty solid Cantonese food now, Sweet Wonton on Northern is a popular spot for good reason. Stick to the staples but the wonton soup in the bone broth is tasty. It's got that rich almost tonkotsu like creaminess but with the shrimpy flavor that you come to expect from a HK wonton or dumpling soup.
The house special sesame stir-fried rice noodles is so good. Salted fish, dried squid, chives - ask to switch to the thinner rice noodles which I think tastes better. The textures are good, lots of flavor and tremendous wok-hei.“

“Authentic Cantonese BBQ with rich, traditional flavors. The roast duck is my favorite—perfectly roasted to achieve crispy skin while keeping the meat tender and juicy. The seasoning is just right, balancing savory and slightly sweet notes, just like the best roast duck you’d find in Hong Kong.“
“This is very good Greek food. We have been to Mythos several times with groups, we are mostly from Greece. Paul the owner is a gentleman and his restaurant has not disappointed. Beefteki and Souvlaki are always excellent and chicken was prepared perfectly. Great place for a family dinner.“

“So This Is One Of My Absolute Favorite Seafood Restaurants In Flushing
If Interested They Have Live Fish And Seafood In Tanks Where You Can Choose What You Want ?
Restaurant: King Crab House
Address: 135-11 40th Rd, Queens, NY 11354
We Had The Lobster In Ginger, Garlic And Scallion Sauce...Served With White Rice And A Soup
So Right Of The Bat This Is NOT Your Typical Seafood In That Sauce....It's A Lighter Version...This Restaurant Wants You To Actually Taste The Seafood
I Did Ask For It To Be A Bit Spicy And With Extra Ginger, Scallions And My Addition Was A Touch More Oyster Sauce...That's How I Order It Here And They Accommodate Without Issue ?
JUST A FYI The Soup Is A Clear Broth That Taste Like Chicken BUT Does Have Pork So If You Don't Consume That Then Make Sure And Let Them Know Your Restrictions
This Dish Is A Solid 8.7-9 Out Of 10
The Place Is Really Beautifully Designed, Clean, Knowledgeable Staff And Delicious Dishes
This Meal Is $20 Plus Tax Which Served Both Of Us And We Were Filled....(About $11 PP)
I Did Notice They Have A Larger Lunch Menu Selection That Is $13.95 I Believe
After The Meal We Walked Around And Grabbed A Bunch Of Fresh Fruit....Mangoes, Tangerines And Lychee
All Good Stuff And Really Reasonable....
Definitely Worth A Visit If In The Neighborhood....Thx Chef ?“

“The food is good and price is reasonable. They have the typical Chinese food dishes and some that are not as common at other restaurants. The only thing is they're not always consistent but when it's good, it's good.
My favorite dishes:
Olive with string beans, salty egg pumpkin (must get this), fried intestine (sometimes they over fry this), fish two ways (made in soup with tofu and veggies and then a separate dish where the meat is filet and there is no bone... delicious. This dish is $80), walnut shrimp (typical dish), Peking pork (typical dish).
Parking: They have a small parking lot in the back with a few assigned spaces.“

“The parking for this restaurant is pretty easy. Directly outside is meter and one block away it's residential. The food portion was great and the roasted beef noodle has plenty of big chunks of meat. And the meats are juicy and succulent. The veggies have soul, it's delicious with hint of garlic, not too much not too little bit of salt. The pricing is pretty decent too.

“This great little family-owned restaurant has been a staple in Elmhurst for years, serving up amazing and affordable food. This isn’t your typical American-Chinese fare; this is the real deal. While they do offer dishes like chicken and broccoli, that’s not why you come here.
The simplicity of the cooking is what makes the food amazing—sometimes, you don't need to overcomplicate dishes. Their lobster is particularly impressive, varying in season to give it a sweet taste, and it's quite affordable. Everything here is cooked to order, so don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations. They know what people will like and won’t like.“

“This is my newest favorite in the wonton restaurant in New York. It is a tiny place, but the free tea is hot. I had the "trio" wonton with noodles, with additional vegetables, which are tender baby yuchoy. The trio wonton were all very good, but I can't say I could distinguish among the three types. All had crunchy shrimp, one said had watercress, although I couldn't figure which. The added vegetables, for an extra $2, was well worth it. The vegetable portion was large enough to merit a second bowl. It was a bargain at $12.50. I liked it so much that I ordered the same a few days later. The 3rd time I visited, I ordered wonton with stewed beef and with added vegetable. Again, it was very good, but the vegetable portion was significantly reduced, but the beef portion was large (very large for someone who rarely eats meat). I ordered this dish twice also.“

“Wonton noodles. The noodles are chewy enough. The wontons are fresh. The soup base has the taste of earthly fish. I usually order it.Very good Hong Kong style wonton soupThere was a time that it only did takeout during the pandemic. “After local shopping in the area we loved the idea of returning to Taiwanese Gourmet on Broadway but I was craving dim sum. So, this restaurant was recommended by a friend of my girlfriend. For two we ordered six dim sum dishes, and from the menu a spicy clam dish with fried shallots and ground pork. This was one of the best dim sum places I have eaten at and the clam dish from the menu was excellent. Service was extremely attentive and food was served with a smile. Honestly it probably makes a difference that my partner is Chinese and a foodie who is extremely friendly. However, I would be totally comfortable coming here without her and highly recommend this place to anyone who wants great food! Highest recommendations!
Parking: I am a good at finding street parking in NYC but I think they offer free parking too during certain hours.“

“The food tastes very good, the service is also very good, and if it's your birthday, they will give you enough emotional value. It is one of the few restaurants with delicious food. Be careful! Sometimes, an innocent girl will come over there. She will pretend to be deaf and mute and come to the store to ask for money. The waiter will deliberately remind you to ignore it.“
