“I’ve been coming to Rolo’s since they first opened and they really never disappoint. The food just gets better and better. Everything is amazing but my hands down favorite is the shrimp. I’d say it’s easily some of if not the best shrimp I’ve ever had in my life. The whole menu just compliments itself from the Calabrian chili butter to the wagyu steak. Also, Sitting in the back of the restaurant is such a cool experience because you get to watch the chefs work their magic on that wood fire grill. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in NYC and in my top 5.“

“I love this place. My partner and I have been here many times.The food is reliably very good. Some dishes can be a miss, but many are hits and when they hit, they really hit. The chips and guacamole and the salsas are standout-good. Last time we ordered the wings, a salad, and a shrimp dish and they were all excellent. In the past there was a skirt steak quesadilla-like thing that was one of the best things I've ever eaten - I wish they'd bring it back. Their salsa macha is excellent. Veggies and salads are often a highlight. Also, nearly everything is gluten-free. I have celiac disease and it is so nice to go somewhere where pretty much everything on the menu is safe for me to eat!On top of that, the ambience is lovely. It's a really pretty space and just pleasant to be in. I'd probably come here just for the ambience even if the food was mediocre. The staff are also lovely. The last time we ate here it had been 4-5 months since our last visit and they remembered who we were and even what we ordered last time! “I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. This was our second time here and it has quickly become one of our goto places in Astoria. From the greeting at the door to the selection of great wine and cocktails- all unique because the are craft brews- to the staff answering our many questions about the very different and delicious menu to the quality of the food- an awesome experience. Last week we were there and enjoyed live jazz and the musicians mingled and talked with us. The decor is very comfortable. Looking forward to attending the special event nights, too. “This is my first time at this restaurant. My friend found it for us and he specifically picked it because he heard it had good cocktails. we ordered four different cocktails. All of them were pretty good. I wish I remembered the names of them but the blue cup with the pink outside was one that was my favorite. By far the ceviche was bomb. The guac a little bit of flavor for me, but mixing it with the ceviche made that even pretty darn good. Really enjoyed the fish taco over the other two pictured. we got the Maduros which were fresh and yuka fries. we also got the octopus which I thoroughly enjoyed. The chipotle, shrimp in the pineapple was honestly not my favorite. My friend really enjoyed it as he enjoyed sweet dishes, but it was too sweet for me. Overall, I definitely recommend a place. Definitely get the ceviche and the octopus! And I'm not even a big seafood person to say that. The service was great, and while we were there, the waiter even gave us a shot on the house. So check it out.“
“Early March my and wife and I held a baby shower there. They were extremely accommodating with us and our guest. They also were very friendly and it worked out very well. We had families and most of the ladies at the tables and we had filled the bar with our drinkers and younger crowd.Music was good/ food was good / service was great! Anne was such a great manager worked hand in hand with our coordinator to make that day such a great experience.Overall 10/10 would highly recommend your next event there.“
“Ten out of ten would recommend !! I went with four friends & we all enjoyed ourselves. It wasn't busy at all on a Tuesday night. This place is still fairly new, opened less than a year ago. The vibes, the decore, the service were all A+ ! I know a few of the reviews mentioned the choice in music but we didn't mind it at all. It was a mix of soft jazz, soul music etc. The volume was perfect, table conversation not a problem. The owner was nice enough to come introduced himself, take in our feedback in offering vegan dishes on the menu. I wasn't able to eat anything other than the vegan appetizer they offered but my friends enjoyed the dishes they ordered. I wouldn't mind coming back here again at all as it's a SEXY chill spot with great vibes & drinks. Nice addition to the neighborhood! P.S Bring your wallets, this place isn't cheap =) Enjoy !!“

“It was date night!!! Double date night that is. My close boy and I planned a secret double date with our significant other. They did not know it was a double until we met up at the door of Salvaje social club. let me just say the ambiance did not disappoint at all, the wild jungle theme had me loving every minute of my walk in and stay. Throughout the night the smoke machine would random blow smoke give the place a misty look. The music was pumping all night long and kept us in an upbeat vibe. The selection of music was mainly Spanish music, they did sprinkle in some English music but for most the night it was reggaeton etc. Although I didn't understand what was being said I surely loved the beat of every song that played. The staff at salvaje was very quick, informative of the menu, polite and friendly. We started off with the seeds of passion which was very tasty and strong. We did two rounds of that drink, couldn't get enough of it lol. I then had a Hennessy and pineapple juice , I don't know what pineapple juice was used but it was so good along with the Hennessy. For starters we had the shrimp toastadas and let me tell you it was amazing , I highly recommend it. Two of us ordered the Milton's rice and the other two ordered chicken on the cut. The rice was well fried and seasoned along with the shrimp, it was just a bit salty but i still loved it, the food really did not let me down at all. We stuck around after eating to drink more and dance a bit during our stay. I'll give Salvaje a 10/10 for vibes 10/10 for drinks 9/10 for Food 10/10 for service 10/10 for ambiance“

“I just went for my early birthday, well me and my friend experience was good. Our server was very nice and accommodating didn’t show no attitude when I asking questions. The food itself was great just a bit too oily for oxtail and the chicken could use a bit of salt but over all was very nice . The atmosphere was definitely a vibe just my personal preference I would definitely would like a bit more table decor. Otherwise 8.5/10 would come again. Wish they had cheesecake again we got 4 things and our total is 112 (including automatic gratuity and tax)“

Everybody was friendly and my food came right away I was very hungry after partying a night before so that helped a-lot. The bartender Cynthia made me feel welcomed and informed me about all the specials and suggested to pick something from the brunch menu. The steak eggs and home-fries were to die for! neatly cooked and not old or spoiled (i know this because i cook at home regularly). I think I had passed this a bunch of times in my adventures of going to Jackson Heights but never checked it out. One perk automatically, there's a check in special of a complimentary glass of Sangria! I haven't seen a check-in special in you don't know how long. It was really exciting. I went with the red sangria and then later ordered their take on a smoked old fashioned. Both were very potent and delicious. The aroma of the old fashioned was amazing. We also ended up getting a flan desert. Now this is going to sound ridiculous but I normally hate flan and this was really delicious. It had a texture that wasn't too jiggly and just creamy surrounded with beautiful strawberries and layered with caramel. It was almost more like a custard and I'll take custardy flan over jello flan every day. Their menu and brunch menu sounds delicious and would definitely think about coming back to try more.“
