“The first pie I had from John at Fenice was the Detroit Red...which Tony picked up for me last week when i was at work...i finished the whole pie by just after midnight...but I had to go for the regular NY Cheese pie fresh from the oven. We scored one of the two tables there and were able to decide which of the other slices to bring home...it was like a pizza candy store. We didn't finish our pie so brought home two slices, and I wanted to try John's sicilian, I couldn't leave there without a Detroit Red slice and Tony wanted the multi cheese white pizza...every pizza we tried was perfect! something about the dough. The sauce. The cheese. The dough for the Sicilian and the Detroit Red was light and perfectly crunchy on the bottom. Flavor out of this world. We drove from White Plains just to try Pizza Fenice. worth the trip.“

“We usually dine at the NYC location, but decided to dine here for Thanksgiving. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Service was outstanding . Very accommodating to our dining habits and needs. We never felt rushed and thoroughly enjoyed dining there. That means so much. The Thanksgiving menu had many delicious choices and the portions were perfect. We will return when in the area.“

It snaps instead of biting into a pillow of heavy dough. the sauce is just right, not tart where you’ll have instant heartburn & not sweet where it tastes like some garbage out of a jar! “I’m Italian from Tuscany, not a pizza expert as a Neapolitan but i still can understand if a pizza is good or not, I moved in US a couple of decades ago and this place is in my top ten list, sadly is far from where I live but I will stop again in my next trip in the area.

“We arrived at the restaurant and were seated by our host/waiter, Nick K. He was very attentive, went over the specials and gave his opinion to the best plates at the restaurant. He was very accommodating and told us that we can upgrade pastas and sauces with our meals. He started us off with warm Focaccia bread, I then ordered the veal parm. and mixed it with the Cacio e Pepe and a glass of Cabernet. My wife ordered the Bolognese with an Aperol Spritz. I had put in my reservation that we were celebrating my wife's birthday and Nick brought three desserts to the menu which was a nice touch. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be going back to try other delicious plates.“

Open from 11:30 to 9 Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 to 10 on Friday and Saturday, this location was opened in 1969, three years after the flagship restaurant was launched at 162 East Superior in Chicago. To be sure I could enjoy the same kind of pizza that I have been enjoying since I was in high school in the 1950s, I opted for Gino East's "Build Your Own" offer, a 16-inch large thin crust pizza with chunky tomato sauce, Italian sausage and real aged mozzarella cheese. “Service terrible and tomato soup tasted like it was watered down plus cold.Waitress was visiting with colleagues more than giving us service. We were the only ones in the restaurant during lunchtime. When it came to receiving our bill she put the wrong price down she said there was no manager to talk to which she lied to us. Overall Service and Food at the St.Albert location I would definitely not recommend on the other hand McGrath on the southside excellent for service food everything etc.“

“I’ve loved Slices for years now. Typically go with the chicken parm sub - always enough for two meals! Tonight I tried the new PINWHEELS - I think this is a new invention of Isaac’s. Basically it’s a pizza dough roll with cheese and a pizza topping - I had one spinach pinwheel and one pepperoni. And each pinwheel comes with a generous side car of tomato sauce. The bottom of the pinwheel is really crispy - somewhat akin to a deep dish pizza. Hard to describe! Highly recommend. Chef’s kiss!“
