“Another amazing dinner from Katsuno. Our favorite authentic Japanese restaurant in NYC came through for us once again, this time with take-out. Tonight we had the Tuna Avocado Salad, Nigiri Sushi, Pork Hirekatsu, and Tempura Udon. All served with a refreshing can of Funaguchi Kikusui Sake. “I get the shrimp tempura 3 roll combo almost every week. What makes this place different from others is their CONSISTENCY! Every week I come it’s the same great tasting quality. Most spots you go to will be good one week and horrible the next . That’s not the case here . Would upload a picture but I already demolished it before I got a chance lol“

“Fresh sushi at a very good price. It’s an old school AYCE where you have to write down your order on a piece of paper which is then collected by the waitress. I’ve been there several times now and I can say that I haven’t found a better place to eat sushi for that price.“

“Okay, I fell in love with this spot tonight. We were looking for a place to watch the Knicks game and they had a giant TV and were playing it inside the restaurant. The owners were watching it too as they are big fans and the energy was so good, we ended up staying there until the end. We also ordered the katsu that came with dumplings and a lil avocado salad and the veggie fried rice. The food was delicious and fresh and I could tell it had been prepared with attention. The owners are Japanese/Peruvian so you know the food is excellent.“

“I'd recommend this place ... sort of. We chose to sit on the dining side since it was only two of us and didn't want the "show". The service was friendly and good but not overly attentive. Our drinks were very good and a fair price (we had the Oceanside Zombie but without the Sprite added). We both ordered the hibachi surf and turf (lobster and filet mignon) which came with a house salad and clear soup, both of which we really enjoyed. The filet was tasty but the pieces were cut very unevenly so some pieces were medium rare and others were close to well done. The lobster tail was very small and too salty. I would not order it again. I was completely disappointed that the veggies were drowning in teriyaki sauce. There was no indication on the menu that they are served in sauce. I typically love hibachi vegetables but I hate teriyaki sauce! They reminded me more of Chinese takeout vegetables than Japanese hibachi. The fried rice was good but not the best. It came with lots of peas and I hate peas. Another disappointment but not a surprise was they don't offer hibachi mustard sauce. Like so many other places these days they offer yum yum sauce instead which we refused because, yuck yuck. They offered us some ice cream on the house (I think because the server knew I was very disappointed about the teriyaki sauce). It came to the table in little plastic cafeteria style cups with the pull back paper top. LOL. I'm glad it did though because the top listed the ingredients and let's just say, we immediately sent the ice cream back. All in all, not the greatest hibachi experience but also not the worst. I would maybe go back for drinks and try some other menu items ... and hold the teriyaki sauce!“

“This spot is a neighborhood GEM. I hope the people living here know this. Best Sushi and sashimi for miles around. Solid everytime. The fish is kept well and served well. The whole family works here and they are so nice and friendly. The dad who is the sushi chef has one of the fastest hands around. He just cranks the orders out like butter. The store has about 6 tables but they are never packed. But while I dine in the takeout orders are endless. This man can handle it all and still can chat with you.I wish I lived nearby.... The sushi was incredibly fresh, and they beautifully arranged the sushi on a large boat with appetizers on a smaller boat. The boat presentation immediately caught our guests’ attention and made the whole setup look unique and special. Our guests loved it! Highly recommend for private parties or events.“

My kids love the chicken teriyaki over noodles or white rice, although I find that the noodles can be a bit dry and in need of more sauce at times. We’ve tried the chicken combination with other proteins as well and they were also delicious. Can’t beat the price either! Definitely getting a bang for your buck. They also sell sushi, but we have not been brave enough to try them.“

Service is kind & quick. They're a little shy, but with some jokes they crack open a bit - if you are someone who likes to have a conversation while dining. If you get to meet Anna, tell her how much you appreciate the food, as she's the main cook & the dishes are mostly her recipes! There are some tiny grammatical errors in the dine-in menu of a few items, but they don't affect the understanding of the dish/drink name. There are 5 wide screen HD tvs throughout the restaurant, & if you ask they can put up the volume of the tv. With so many tvs, comfy couch-style seating, & the opportunity to put up the volume of each individual tv, this is the PERFECT place to watch sports games!! Currently they're showing all the World Cup/Mundial games! ⚽
The decor & layout of the restaurant is also so cute, it's perfect for a date or a nice meal with your parents. It's styled like an outdoor restaurant in downtown Hong Kong in the 80s. ✨ You'll really notice the lovely detailing when looking up at the ceiling, it extends to the back of the restaurant! The women's bathroom is also IMMACULATE, I think this is the cleanest while simultaneously cutest bathroom I've ever seen in my life, it is thAt clean.
A few plates are a bit overpriced for Queens, but most are GREAT prices for the quality & portions. Each dish is also presented very nicely, especially the maki rolls & ramen bowls, they're so picturesque! 😍 Comparable in aesthetics to those of restaurants in Manhattan! Our favorite dishes to order here are, in order: Pad Sew Ew>Tonkotsu Ramen>Shoyu Ramen>Thai Pepper Steak (lunch special)>3 maki rolls (lunch special). The napkins are also super cute with rose prints & are a thick fabric-like thickness.
We ADORE the teas. The BEST bobas along 63rd Drive no question. The cups are a good size & the quality of the ingredients - especially the taro, is great!! The taro seems to be made with taro puree rather than powder, a rarity these days. The lychee tea with coconut jelly is VERY refreshing & unique, it's our favorite fruit tea! The Kumquat lemon is a close second. The Thai tea is unfortunately nothing special, it's lacking in flavor especially in comparison to the other stellar teas.
I once made a pick-up order of teas & mentioned on the phone that I will be going into Manhattan, & the teas were packaged extra securely at no extra cost. These little details are what puts the bow on any restaurant with great food, & turns the whole restaurant into an experience worth returning to!“

“Went with the fam for the halal hibachi and it never disappoints. Flavorful and Savory and cooked perfectly every time …the kids had a great time watching the hibachi show too. We tried their shrimp, chicken and filet mignon hibachi along with a few sushi rolls. Definitely a spot we keep coming back too! “My family and I have called in a large lunch order for pick up four weeks in a row...and have ordered in the past several times.

The order is always ready quickly. To date, never any issues.

They separated the hot food from the cold food when bagging.

Everything is as it should be with plenty of sauces and most importantly, DELICIOUS!

The 3 roll combo is a great deal and we like the Yellowstone pizza...crispy base, avocado, seaweed salad (i think) and your choice of tuna or salmon on top. Sauce on the side. Really nice appetizer.

“This is our go-to sushi place. The staff is always friendly and the food is very good.

They also do a teriyaki bento box type thing that is a lot of food for the cost. I really recommend this. The teriyaki chicken also comes with sautéed onions under the chicken and that is great.

The only down side is the get very busy sometimes- so plan ahead on busy nights and try and pickup vs delivery. Usually the food can be cooked fairly quickly and then you can save time vs waiting for a delivery.“
