Tonight we had the Tuna Avocado Salad, Nigiri Sushi, Pork Hirekatsu, and Tempura Udon. All served with a refreshing can of Funaguchi Kikusui Sake. “I get the shrimp tempura 3 roll combo almost every week. What makes this place different from others is their CONSISTENCY! Every week I come it’s the same great tasting quality. Most spots you go to will be good one week and horrible the next . That’s not the case here . Would upload a picture but I already demolished it before I got a chance lol“

“Okay, I fell in love with this spot tonight. We were looking for a place to watch the Knicks game and they had a giant TV and were playing it inside the restaurant. The owners were watching it too as they are big fans and the energy was so good, we ended up staying there until the end. We also ordered the katsu that came with dumplings and a lil avocado salad and the veggie fried rice. The food was delicious and fresh and I could tell it had been prepared with attention. The owners are Japanese/Peruvian so you know the food is excellent.“

“This spot is a neighborhood GEM. I hope the people living here know this. Best Sushi and sashimi for miles around. Solid everytime. The fish is kept well and served well. The whole family works here and they are so nice and friendly. The dad who is the sushi chef has one of the fastest hands around. He just cranks the orders out like butter. The store has about 6 tables but they are never packed. But while I dine in the takeout orders are endless. This man can handle it all and still can chat with you.I wish I lived nearby.... “I'd recommend this place ... sort of. We chose to sit on the dining side since it was only two of us and didn't want the "show". The service was friendly and good but not overly attentive. Our drinks were very good and a fair price (we had the Oceanside Zombie but without the Sprite added). We both ordered the hibachi surf and turf (lobster and filet mignon) which came with a house salad and clear soup, both of which we really enjoyed. The filet was tasty but the pieces were cut very unevenly so some pieces were medium rare and others were close to well done. The lobster tail was very small and too salty. I would not order it again. I was completely disappointed that the veggies were drowning in teriyaki sauce. There was no indication on the menu that they are served in sauce. I typically love hibachi vegetables but I hate teriyaki sauce! They reminded me more of Chinese takeout vegetables than Japanese hibachi. The fried rice was good but not the best. It came with lots of peas and I hate peas. Another disappointment but not a surprise was they don't offer hibachi mustard sauce. Like so many other places these days they offer yum yum sauce instead which we refused because, yuck yuck. They offered us some ice cream on the house (I think because the server knew I was very disappointed about the teriyaki sauce). It came to the table in little plastic cafeteria style cups with the pull back paper top. LOL. I'm glad it did though because the top listed the ingredients and let's just say, we immediately sent the ice cream back. All in all, not the greatest hibachi experience but also not the worst. I would maybe go back for drinks and try some other menu items ... and hold the teriyaki sauce!“

The sushi was incredibly fresh, and they beautifully arranged the sushi on a large boat with appetizers on a smaller boat. Service is kind & quick. They're a little shy, but with some jokes they crack open a bit - if you are someone who likes to have a conversation while dining. If you get to meet Anna, tell her how much you appreciate the food, as she's the main cook & the dishes are mostly her recipes! There are some tiny grammatical errors in the dine-in menu of a few items, but they don't affect the understanding of the dish/drink name. There are 5 wide screen HD tvs throughout the restaurant, & if you ask they can put up the volume of the tv. With so many tvs, comfy couch-style seating, & the opportunity to put up the volume of each individual tv, this is the PERFECT place to watch sports games!! Currently they're showing all the World Cup/Mundial games! ⚽
The decor & layout of the restaurant is also so cute, it's perfect for a date or a nice meal with your parents. It's styled like an outdoor restaurant in downtown Hong Kong in the 80s. ✨ You'll really notice the lovely detailing when looking up at the ceiling, it extends to the back of the restaurant! The women's bathroom is also IMMACULATE, I think this is the cleanest while simultaneously cutest bathroom I've ever seen in my life, it is thAt clean.
A few plates are a bit overpriced for Queens, but most are GREAT prices for the quality & portions. Each dish is also presented very nicely, especially the maki rolls & ramen bowls, they're so picturesque! 😍 Comparable in aesthetics to those of restaurants in Manhattan! Our favorite dishes to order here are, in order: Pad Sew Ew>Tonkotsu Ramen>Shoyu Ramen>Thai Pepper Steak (lunch special)>3 maki rolls (lunch special). The napkins are also super cute with rose prints & are a thick fabric-like thickness.
We ADORE the teas. The BEST bobas along 63rd Drive no question. The cups are a good size & the quality of the ingredients - especially the taro, is great!! The taro seems to be made with taro puree rather than powder, a rarity these days. The lychee tea with coconut jelly is VERY refreshing & unique, it's our favorite fruit tea! The Kumquat lemon is a close second. The Thai tea is unfortunately nothing special, it's lacking in flavor especially in comparison to the other stellar teas.
I once made a pick-up order of teas & mentioned on the phone that I will be going into Manhattan, & the teas were packaged extra securely at no extra cost. These little details are what puts the bow on any restaurant with great food, & turns the whole restaurant into an experience worth returning to!“

The quality of the food is top-tier; the sashimi platter featured some of the freshest, most beautifully sliced raw fish I've had in a long time. We also started with the edamame and the pan-fried pork gyoza, which was perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. Beyond the incredible food, the service was outstanding. “First off, I absolutely love Yellowstone Sushi! I’ve always ordered sushi rolls here because they’re consistently fresh and delicious. Tonight I decided to be a little adventurous and try sashimi for the first time. I ordered the sashimi appetizer, not realizing it’s normally an assortment of different fish, and I had requested only salmon.

They called me to explain the menu and, as a one time courtesy because I didn’t know, they kindly offered to make it with just tuna and salmon instead. I want to be clear that this was a special accommodation they made for me and not something they normally offer.

I thought that was incredibly thoughtful and such wonderful customer service. They took the time to call, explain everything, and make sure I had a great first sashimi experience instead of just sending the standard order.

Thank you so much for your kindness! It truly meant a lot. I already love your sushi, and now I can’t wait to try sashimi for the first time. You’ve definitely earned another loyal customer! ❤️
