“My husband and I just had a lunch there. The place is overall good, they are trying to recreate the atmosphere of a French bistro cafe. The croissant and what they claim on the menu to be “French” is definitely not close to French cuisine. But the food is good. What we found outrageous is the pricing. $17 for a green salad and +18 for proteins!!, $31 for a Cobb salad, $22 for a quiche… this is way more expensive than NYC price. Be aware.“

“In a quest to find “REAL “ whitefish salad, I followed a friend’s suggestion and tried Cafe 17A. Amazing! This past weekend I tried several other salads- Vegetable Tuna, Chicken Salad, Egg whites and spinach, Egg salad and mushrooms and of course sliced Nova and home made cream cheeses. My guests raved! Everything is fresh, and homemade with Love by Scott, the owner. Thanks Scott, - can’t wait to return- You’ve definitely nailed it“

The cappuccino was delicious, and I also had a flaky pastry filled with a vanilla custard sauce. Since the cafe is Italian, I cannot refer to it as a croissant. This is one of the few places that is cash only. I look forward to returning, the first chance I can.“

I am able to have my almost 2 year old daughter with me at all times and she feels comfortable, safe and at home whenever we are there. Whether we are teaching classes, taking classes, playing, or eating a nutritious lunch, it is always a welcoming feeling being a part of such a pleasant and positive nurturing environment. “This is definitely a hidden gem! Such a delightful cafe! Each and every item was top quality. The staff was very polite and courteous. I believe her name was Madison. She was very sweet to take the extra trouble to cut up the pastries for us as we were planning on enjoying the treats while driving. The ambiance was peaceful. It's a great place to just relax and get some work done. The coffee is exceptional as well! Will definitely be back for more.“
