**A Pleasant Surprise!**
I was a little hesitant at first, but I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did! I waited about 5 to 10 minutes for the food, and when it came out, the aroma was amazing. The taste? Exactly how good Chinese food should be. It’s hard to find quality Chinese food around here, but this place delivers.
I’ll definitely recommend this spot to my friends. Though, if I were the owner, I might consider changing the name :)“
“Very good yellow rice that serves as a base for many meals. The quality of the rice is often overlooked but this restaurant has a very nice blend, not too greasy, not too dry. The meat has been consistently fresh and the prices are lower than most places while maintaining the quality of the food. The number of reviews unfairly lop sides this place as they 100% deserve higher than 4 stars. This is one of the better Chinese food places in the Maspeth/Ridgewood area, and definitely one of the best services, which really makes a huge difference of where to spend your money.“
“My husband and I stopped by for dumplings, and we ordered one of every dumpling option in the menu. Everything was so delicious, and the person who attended us was so kind to us. She gave us two sodas for free. Amazing food and service, of course we'll be back!“

“Food was good. It reminded me of my trip to Hong Kong in the 2010's.
You'll need patience for the food since it's just a few people. But the food is worth the wait. I waited outside and the cashier just waved me in when my order was ready. 🙂“

“CheLi in Flushing is legit amazing. That squirrel fish? Super crispy, sweet, tangy — straight-up addicting. The place looks gorgeous too, like old-school China but super clean and chill. Service was on point. Honestly, I’d come back just for that fish.“

“Yingtao offers an elevated dining experience, honoring the owner’s grandmother with both its name and the thoughtful approach to each dish. The restaurant’s sleek, modern interior and open kitchen immediately impress upon entry. The tasting menu is a carefully curated array of dishes with refined flavors, with the duck, toast, foie gras, and nian gao standing out as memorable highlights. The flavors here are subtly layered and delicate, showcasing a restrained elegance that even extends to the desserts, which are perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. Service at Yingtao is exceptional, among the best I’ve encountered. The front-of-house team is attentive and professional, and a special mention goes to Ria, whose deep knowledge of the menu enriched my experience by offering thoughtful insights and explanations. Yingtao is a beautiful homage to family and fine dining—a truly refined experience that’s well worth a visit.“
