“It was so nice to come back to Himalaya after so many years! My first visit was in 2013 when I had just become vegetarian, and I returned again in 2017 as a new vegan. Now, as a 9-year vegan, I was excited to see that they still offer so many delicious vegan-friendly options.

I started with a red sangria, then the Steamed Veg Momos, which were fresh, handmade, and packed with a flavorful mix of vegetables. The Lasooni Gobi was perfectly crispy with a delicious Himalayan sauce.

For entrees, I ordered the Veg Thali, Tadka Dal, and the Veg Korma. The Veg Thali was a wonderful way to sample several classic dishes, the Tadka Dal was comforting and full of aromatic spices, and the Veg Korma was rich, creamy, and made with a dairy-free cashew-based sauce. I also enjoyed the paratha made without butter, which paired perfectly with the curries. It’s the best I’ve had!

Himalaya is a wonderful family-owned restaurant. The food is consistently flavorful, the staff is welcoming, and they do an excellent job accommodating vegan diners.

Whether you’re vegan or simply looking to try authentic Nepali cuisine, I highly recommend stopping by. I’m so glad I came back, and it definitely won’t be another several years before my next visit!“

“The Wild Radish is such a great place to go in Nyack NY. I’ve had breakfast, lunch and dinner from the Wild Radish - could eat there for every meal as it is healthy, organic food that makes eating clean easy.

I love the Clarity Smoothie (it is green) and the Broccoli Slaw and the Chicken Salad is a must try and the chefs bowl.

Everything is primarily gluten-free and dairy-free which is so nice. I love going to the restaurant on the main street with the cool atmosphere but I also have ordered delivery and I know Wild Radish is at a lot of the local westchester farmers markets.

I always crave the Wild Radish so it’s great that there is usually a way to get it delivered even when I’m not in Rockland County. They have a weekly food delivery service to the surrounding area including to Westchester area.

I used to live on Main Street in Nyack - this is my #1 spot in town highly recommend + the people/neighborhood is so great.5 Stars a must try.

“We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was exactly what we wanted. We had ample room for 40 guests and a jazz piano player. From the appetizers, Bellinis, Prosecco, wine and other beverages, to the sumptuous gourmet buffet dinner to the most delicious celebratory cake, everything was PERFECT. I say this as someone who has organized many events professionally over the decades. Donna Sullivan and Jean-Jacques are top notch.“

Going with friends and/or family who haven't been before, makes the experience even more enjoyable. Straight-away, newcomers are impressed as they review the eclectic menu. We tell them, honestly - we've never had anything on the menu that we didn't LOVE. It was not unusual that, on this week's visit, our party of six couldn't make menu selections 'cause everything sounded so good. No problem, we simply "ordered for the table"! Ready for this - we ordered: 2 orders of Pulled Pork Sliders, 2 orders of Brie Stuffed Pretzels, Asador Corn, Watermelon Salad, 2 orders of Smoked Ribs, Shrimp & Grits, and Chinese Chicken Salad. OH MY, what a Scrumptious Feast! Not a morsel was left over! When the friendly, attentive waiter suggested dessert, some said, "I can't eat another thing!", and "oh, maybe tomorrow". My wife and I got the waiter on the side, explained we had a Birthday Gal at the table, and ordered an assorted dessert board for the table. Moments later, the board was presented with a glowing birthday sparkler and a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday". Immediately, the signature Carrot Cake, Mexican Chocolate Covered Churros, Bourbon Glazed Donuts, Cheese Cake, and Vanilla Gelato began to be devoured. “JADEN, our server, was very courteous, attentive and friendly. Today I enjoyed fried okra with a spicy chili sauce on the side. In addition I was treated to two large salmon cakes accompanied by grits with Gouda cheese.
My nephew described JADEN as a server who provided excellent service. The food he ordered was also excellent; whiting with grits, as well as, a side of six cheese Mac & cheese.
The take home orders for Mommy was collard greens, potato salad and yams.
I Have been to MY FATHER’S HOUSE many times for various celebrations and even for a night out with friends.

“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!“

“I had a fantastic experience here on Beekman Ave. Everything we ordered arrived perfectly prepared and tasted delicious. The burger was served in a fun checkered paper basket and the crispy fries were seasoned generously with fresh green herbs.

We finished the meal with a decadent slice of chocolate cake topped with a perfect swirl of frosting and a side of ice cream. It was a wonderful treat. I cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.“

I can hardly wait to return! Sunday brunch is fantastic! Busy and absolutely worth the wait! I had their delicious shakshuka and an early grey tea while my friend had the hamburger and a cappuccino. We both loved it!!! We ate outside which was lovely, but inside is even more lovely! The design is farmhouse chic meets French patisserie…a great combo!!! And…the staff was kind and generous!! She is super adorable, very personable and well-mannered, always has a smile on her face, and always helps me out! “I need to tell you that my family has been going to LaTulipe for the past 20 years and this place just keeps getting better and better. The quality of the cakes are exquisite and second to none .
Marteen, Fran, Michelle and quite frankly the entire staff are incredibly helpful and always accommodating. They will take orders for special occasions that make the celebrations so much more memorable. We have celebrated birthdays , graduations , sporting events , and they have made amazing designs and put photos on the cakes that have taken deserts to an entirely new level.
Finally, my daughter who has been gluten free since the age of 10 has never had to feel compromised in celebrating her special occasions because the birthday cakes and graduation cakes have been off the charts delicious. We look forward to her wedding cake next year!

We ordered the Beekman Ave specialty pizza, a regular pepperoni, and the eggplant pizza. The eggplant pizza was absolutely incredible—easily one of the best pizzas I've had in Westchester.

The style is a thin, bar-style pie similar to what you'd find in New Jersey, with a vibe like Colony Grill. The wings were excellent too. If you're a fan of thin-crust, bar-style pizza, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended.“
