Last week was a special delight to meet my old friend Judge Sam Coleman and his wife who were up visiting from Boca where they have retired. Sam loved the food too. Suggestion: It would be a great place to go on Motzei Shabbosim now that the clocks have changed.“

“Positive vibes and a great experience. I’ve visited this place several times in person, and I’ve also done takeout a couple of times. The most recent time was takeout. I needed to feed a small group and asked about platter offerings, but was told they don’t have any set menus. They asked what I was looking for and made some recommendations to fit my needs and requested budget.

To say that I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. They delivered and then some. It was a combination of various sushi, regular rolls, and specialty rolls.

They also asked about any potential allergies in the group, along with any specific preferences or dislikes.

The food was fantastic in taste and presentation. It was well packed and came with plenty of ginger, wasabi, and miso soup. They also gave me delicious tea while I waited for them to complete my order.

I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.“

“After a very long day, I came in get a bite to eat before I went back to traveling. The food is delicious. The staff is incredible. They will go the extra mile for you (literally). After ordering and eating entirely too much delicious food the couple who owns the restaurant gave me a ride to the bus station. The woman who served me was kind and kept me company while I was alone. Really one of the best experiences I have had in the entire state of New Jersey. Thankful for people like you.“

“New City Sushi is a small tradition style Sushi bar/restaurant with an inviting atmosphere and service. A family run establishment with a single sushi chef that shows dedication in the meals he creates. Passing through the area I stopped in and requested an Omakase at the bar and was given a wonderful experience! The multi course Omakase featured some unique dishes such as Chuka Idako, fried Shishamo, Madai, Hotategai, Chutoro, Maine Uni and Chawanmushi. Overall this was a pleasant experience with a good atmosphere and tradition dishes you may not find at your typical sushi restaurant 6.7/10.“

“We had dinner at Matsu on Friday......its a little gem in Hillsdale. We were pleasantly surprised, by the quality and quantity of the food. The Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. They very friendly and warm. It was a most enjoyable dinner. We have ordered food to takeout but hadn't been inside the restaurant since the pandemic.... We will definitely go again soon. “Raku Sushi in Ringwood is easily one of the hidden gems of North Jersey. I have been to a lot of sushi restaurants over the years, and this place consistently delivers some of the freshest, most delicious food and friendliest service around. “Pizza Land is honestly one of those rare spots that does everything right. The pizza is always amazing, but the real surprise is the sushi. Easily some of the best sushi in town.
