Meats constitute as food but then she went on to walk away and mumble “I’m by myself I’m not making sandwiches.” No one said anything about sandwiches and we asked a question. Attitude for no reason. “I have been working on and off in the New Rochelle area since 2021, and Joe’s Deli has always been a staple. Whether it be a chicken cutlet on a wedge or an Italian combo on a semolina roll, any sandwich here is good. Personally, Joe has been a pleasure to get to know over the years, and I’m not alone on this opinion given the fact I always see a couple of regular faces any time I come in. Joe knows how to take care of his regular customers and he is a consistent highlight any time I’m in New Rochelle.“

“No shortage of delis/bodegas around. NFM has great hours and are really consistent in their offerings. Usually either getting a BEC or Chicken Salad wrap. Pricing vs quality is super fair. Place is always clean and staff is always friendly. ATM avail. Coffee is mid but more than acceptable“

“Boom! A true deli in the heart of Little Mexico. Lupe and her whole staff know what the heck they're doing. Never had a bad sandwich or an experience that took too long or didn't make me laugh. If you're within a few blocks make the stop. Bless you Lupe, I don't know you personally but you feed me way too many meals for me not to be grateful.“

“This was by far the most superior deli I've ever been to. The man behind the counter - he does it all!! Great sandwiches, greater pickles, the greatest customer service ever! Also you get a free water with your sandwich, is there anything this place doesn't do??? 10/10 would deli again.“

“It’s good to know some good things never change.

I recently moved back to the area and had memories of the amazing sandwiches I used to get from this deli way back in the day (10+ years). Back in high school this was everybody’s go to spot.

I was very happy to see them still open till this day but wasn’t sure what to expect as it had been so long.

I can happily say my chicken cutlet hero was just as amazing as I remember. Perfectly cooked big chicken cutlet slices, crispy bacon and nice fresh bread.

The pricing was and is still fair as well!

So glad to see such a long running establishment still putting out amazing food. Love the old school vibes as well. Will be back for sure.

“This place is an awesome and convenience spot and that has great hours. I believe they are 6 or 7:00 a.m. until midnight which is rare these days. And being that my boat is in a marina right down the block it is a truly wonderful place to have. The store is extremely clean. The food is fresh. The beverage selections are great and they even carry ice. What more can you ask for“

“I LOVE this place. Having lived in the area for a while, I am ashamed of how long it took me to try this spot. Their staff is so friendly, willing to explain and help however they can, and they make this green sauce for their empanadas that I could honestly eat either a spoon. Go here, get the empanadas with that green sauce, make sure you tip them, and thank me later!“

“I decided to try this place since I happened to be in the area and ordered through Uber Eats. The food was delicious! The French toast was absolutely amazing—it might just be the best I’ve had in a while. I also liked that they offered platters, but I wasn’t too thrilled that meat is a requirement for some of the platters.

One thing I did find a bit off was the portion size of the eggs, which felt a little small compared to what I was expecting. That being said, I understand there’s a shortage of ingredients at many places right now, so I won’t hold it against them.

The food was packaged really well upon arrival, and I was impressed with how tight the Saran wrap was around the Tupperware, keeping my food warm until I was ready to eat. However, when I went to save some leftovers for later, I realized the Tupperware top didn’t actually fit properly, which was a bit of a hiccup.

Overall, the food was pretty good, and if I’m in the area again, I’d definitely try them again.“
