“It may look like an ordinary deli, but their food is top-notch. Got me a plate with eggplant parm, rice, pasta alla vodka, stuffed chicken, Brussels sprouts . Everything was delicious.

“Asked for deli meats, lady pointed to the paper in front of the register “no food at this time”. Meats constitute as food but then she went on to walk away and mumble “I’m by myself I’m not making sandwiches.” No one said anything about sandwiches and we asked a question. Attitude for no reason. Store seems well stocked.“

“I go to school right here at Iona so I’ve tried the place a few times and I have to say every time it’s been great. The owner is to the point but super nice. “I have been working on and off in the New Rochelle area since 2021, and Joe’s Deli has always been a staple. Whether it be a chicken cutlet on a wedge or an Italian combo on a semolina roll, any sandwich here is good. Personally, Joe has been a pleasure to get to know over the years, and I’m not alone on this opinion given the fact I always see a couple of regular faces any time I come in. Joe knows how to take care of his regular customers and he is a consistent highlight any time I’m in New Rochelle.“

“No shortage of delis/bodegas around. NFM has great hours and are really consistent in their offerings. Usually either getting a BEC or Chicken Salad wrap. Pricing vs quality is super fair. Place is always clean and staff is always friendly. ATM avail. Coffee is mid but more than acceptable“

“Boom! A true deli in the heart of Little Mexico. Lupe and her whole staff know what the heck they're doing. Never had a bad sandwich or an experience that took too long or didn't make me laugh. If you're within a few blocks make the stop. Bless you Lupe, I don't know you personally but you feed me way too many meals for me not to be grateful.“

“This was by far the most superior deli I've ever been to. The man behind the counter - he does it all!! Great sandwiches, greater pickles, the greatest customer service ever! Also you get a free water with your sandwich, is there anything this place doesn't do??? 10/10 would deli again.“

“It’s good to know some good things never change.

I recently moved back to the area and had memories of the amazing sandwiches I used to get from this deli way back in the day (10+ years). Back in high school this was everybody’s go to spot.

I was very happy to see them still open till this day but wasn’t sure what to expect as it had been so long.

I can happily say my chicken cutlet hero was just as amazing as I remember. Perfectly cooked big chicken cutlet slices, crispy bacon and nice fresh bread.

The pricing was and is still fair as well!

So glad to see such a long running establishment still putting out amazing food. Love the old school vibes as well. Will be back for sure.

“This place is an awesome and convenience spot and that has great hours. I believe they are 6 or 7:00 a.m. until midnight which is rare these days. And being that my boat is in a marina right down the block it is a truly wonderful place to have. The store is extremely clean. The food is fresh. The beverage selections are great and they even carry ice. What more can you ask for“
