“I really enjoyed one of the October specials when I was there with my grandson. Especially the German potato salad and ohhhhh a slice of German chocolate cake. Sooo good. My late fiancée and I were regulars. Brought a tear to my eye to see one of our favorite waitresses to welcome us. Heather was always so cheery and accommodating . Love the gift shop as well. So beautiful.“

“My daughter and i went to the cellar restaurant for a late lunch on a Saturday. The atmosphere is lovely.. place was very clean.. the bar is classy.. then we walked into the dining area.. soft lighting.. atmosphere was very nice. Food was plated very attractive. Food was good 😊... Clean. Average proportion.. we liked it and will go again...“

“Traveling home from a wedding in Columbus OH to home in Maine we pinned the halfway point to stop over. We discovered this gem of a restaurant of MJ's on the Susquehanna River in historic Owego, NY. We dined ohe deck by the river. We ate the butter lettuce pockets of vegetables and a Greek salad. DELICIOUS! Having been so sensible with our vegetarian supper we shared the pan cooked chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and caramel sauce. Great service, decor, funk factor, clean and good. We may live 8 hours away, but this dining experience makes it worth returning for. Plus there are plenty of interesting places to see in this part of NY.“

“I was on my way to visit family , came across your diner . Staff friendly and courteous, and the home fries for me were the best. They brought back memories of the way my mother made them . If you’re passing through the area I highly recommend this diner . It’s on my favorites list that’s for sure.“

“Me, my husband and a few friends from my local church had a fellowship get together here. The food was delicious and talk about bread, they have the best garlic bread, bread and butter I have ever had. The staff is very courteous and kind. The only bad side is they close early and don’t have a lot for night staffing. I would highly recommend this place for a nice place to eat and have a social get together for lunch. Service is great.“

“The food was not only amazing, but it was a warm atmosphere. The chef was very personable and friendly and it was just a wonderful and welcoming experience, especially after a long day of traveling. I wish we lived closer because I would be eating there all the time. We had the bruschetta so good. The chicken marsala was amazing and the turkey soup was the best soup that I’ve had in a long time. “

“My family and I recently ate dinner here & the food was amazing, as well as the staff! Everything was hot & delicious! Eddie came to our table to ensure we were all happy with everything. Despite being very busy they offered excellent service! I highly recommend the smothered chicken dinner! We will definitely be coming back!“
