I made the best decision ..the energy, the pastries (my 2 year old son LOVED the coconut brownie and almond pastry) and the coffee was amazing! The owner was SUPER SUPER nice!! “Just have to give a quick shoutout to Hard Bean on Merrick Ave. Victor and his wife Elise opened 10 days ago just north of the train station. My fiancé and I were talking to the owners and learned that opening a coffee shop was Victor’s dream. After working at his previous career for almost 30 years, he retired and opened this place. It’s charming inside and the coffee is delicious and less expensive than *$s. They are literally a mom and pop shop and after spending some time there I wanted to post to support and recommend Hard Bean to all the locals.“

“I love this place!!! I come here to get my work done on my laptop and I love the fact that they have cozy couches & armchairs besides regular chairs for long term sitting (They have Wi-Fi). So cozy, comfortable and inviting. The staff is super friendly and they make good drinks! (I love their Chai Latte and Iced/Hot Peach Coconut Matcha Latte). They have really chill music too (indie rock/60s rock/Radiohead etc.). They also have live music events with performers and bands on certain days, where the locals join in and show support. They have a selection of food as well (BLT, Avocado Toast, Muffins, Cookies, Scones and more). Overall, great service, good food & drinks and very nice atmosphere!!“

I had been searching for an authentic bubble tea spot in LI for a month until I found this one! Their milk teas are so creamy and rich of taste. Their fruit teas which I ordered most of the time are so dense in tea fragrance suggesting they use very high quality tea leaves. That tea fragrance keeps lingering in your mouth and refreshes your mind with every sip. Their lychee green tea is a must try! “I’ve been to every local coffee shop you could think of within the radius of Oceanside to Long Beach. Without doubt this is THE best local coffee shop in the area. Small, quaint little hole in the wall type of shop next to the Oceanside train station that puts out THE best coffee and baked goods. The Pistachio Tiramisu was a total knock out, so so so so good. The owner Vish has to be one of the nicest people I’ve met as well. A hands on owner you can find behind the counter whipping up coffees or out on the patio engaging with his guests. Very nice spot I highly recommend coming here. Their cold brew is the best.“

“I’ve came here 2 times already But the thing I most recommend is the vibe!
The whole place is super cool definitely a hidden gem. Tons of board games and arcade games to use (FOR FREE). Even a giant connect 4.
Definitely stayed there playing for a while. Also I have to say the people who work there are super nice.
So far I’ve had their Oreo bubble tea very good. And there macaroons pistachio and cookies and cream very fresh and delicious. Also I had 2 types of there dumplings I recommend the beef that one was pretty good.. (I did not care for the chicken it was just not good it tasted like curry, very weird it also made my stomach feel bad). This place is more if you have a sweet tooth..
I’m dying to try there waffle croissants they have so many toppings.. I will definitely be back !“

“I stopped in to Emilia’s Bakehouse Café on Walt Whitman Rd in Melville yesterday (they have another location in E. Northport) and boy, was I glad I did! I entered into a well-lit shop filled with pastries, scones, cookies, brownies, croissants, breads and quiches, etc. and was greeted with enthusiasm and a smile by 2 attractive young ladies. It was a great vibe just being there, very stress relieving. The chocolate brownie is perfection in texture and taste! The scones and peanut butter coconut power bites are delicious! Their organic Colombian coffee is the bomb, and you can get it with your favorite milk - for me it’s Oat Planet oat milk. Stop in, it’ll make your day! A feast for the eyes and tastebuds :)“

“Homey’s Bistro is the place to go to in Glen Head. Across from the LIRR Parking is easy. They serve breakfast, amazing lunch and NOT TO FORGET, the donuts 🍩 and cinnamon rolls, which are massive. Three try one of their amazing iced espresso. They also have beer from a local distributor and started last week. They’re doing wine and crate trays on the evenings of Friday and Saturday. i’ll be going this Friday tomorrow to check that one out. I will give this place five stars friendly. They have their own pastry chef on staff, which makes everything fresh daily. Check it out.“

He made my daughter a cotton candy milkshake which she absolutely devoured. I had a flavored coffee which was delicious. From the black and white checkered floor to the murals on the walls, the vintage looking tables and chairs to the fun gelato display case (which was nice and low for little ones to be able to choose from) the decorated garage door which let in so much light to the retro cola display fridge, everything was so well thought out and just a lot of fun. “I must admit I'm from Roosevelt and definitely do not remember this eatery. Anyway again I must admit the food was delicious. I had the fried whiting with french fries (the fries and the seasoned batter on the fish was also delicious). My daughter had the vegetable omelet with pepper jack cheese. I tasted her food and had to get an order of that omelet with home fries to go. The ladies in the back doing the cooking has been blessed to serve as well as cook. My food was served hot and that was definitely a plus. Trust me try the place you won't be disappointed. The server Dave was very accommodating and definitely earned his tip.
