“My daughter and I happened upon this place and we were so happy we did! Chris (not sure if he was the owner or not) was super helpful since we have food allergies. He made my daughter a cotton candy milkshake which she absolutely devoured. I had a flavored coffee which was delicious. From the black and white checkered floor to the murals on the walls, the vintage looking tables and chairs to the fun gelato display case (which was nice and low for little ones to be able to choose from) the decorated garage door which let in so much light to the retro cola display fridge, everything was so well thought out and just a lot of fun. Kudos to them for a really great place, definitely go visit!“

“The regular coffee is really good when compared to most other places. This is particularly true when you compare Tim Hortons to Duncan Donuts and Starbucks. Duncan tastes very mild. Starbucks tastes like a mild espresso. Perhaps it's just me and my taste preference. In any case, I prefer Tim Hortons coffee and I like the fact that you can gas up at a reasonable price, get coffee, donuts or other snacks all in one place. In short, Tim Hortons is a much better place to visit than 7Eleven.“

My fiancé and I were talking to the owners and learned that opening a coffee shop was Victor’s dream. After working at his previous career for almost 30 years, he retired and opened this place. It’s charming inside and the coffee is delicious and less expensive than *$s. They are literally a mom and pop shop and after spending some time there I wanted to post to support and recommend Hard Bean to all the locals.“

“I stopped in to Emilia’s Bakehouse Café on Walt Whitman Rd in Melville yesterday (they have another location in E. Northport) and boy, was I glad I did! I entered into a well-lit shop filled with pastries, scones, cookies, brownies, croissants, breads and quiches, etc. and was greeted with enthusiasm and a smile by 2 attractive young ladies. It was a great vibe just being there, very stress relieving. The chocolate brownie is perfection in texture and taste! The scones and peanut butter coconut power bites are delicious! “We stopped here randomly on our way back from the Hamptons to New Jersey and we had one of the best service experiences we have ever had at a restaurant. Our server was personally invested in making sure we had the best experience in any restaurant ever!

The menu is all Indian with lots of non-veg and vegetarian options. They offered to customize anything on the menu we wished for and made food without onion garlic for me. The food was very fresh and tasty. We ordered Alleppey fish curry and Palak Paneer with Kerala Poratta. Rice was complimentary.

“I MUST shout out Belle from Ready Coffee in Baldwin. It was the first time I went to Ready, and I asked her to make me something delicious and sugar-free, whatever she thought was best. She asked me about my preferences and I told her she had total creative control. She came out a couple minutes later with not one, but TWO coffees, saying “I couldn’t decide which I like more for you, so here’s both” and didn’t charge me for the second one. Of course, I had to come back the next day to thank her. She remembered me and asked which I liked better, and I bought another one of my favorite.

Belle is not only a fantastic barista, but she is personable and kind and already a fantastic businesswoman, as she clearly knows that even the smallest of goodwill gestures and true customer care will have people coming back day after day.

I hope Belle opens her own shop one day, because I will be her first customer. She even got me to sign up for rewards, and I don’t live in the area (I’m on vacation here) but I’ll be back as much as possible.

“Their teas are so good and refreshing. You can order your tea custom how you like. They have a machine that shakes the drink quite vigorously to mix it well. I tried the Thai milk tea with bubbles and passionfruit green tea with lychee. Both were very good.“

“It’s amazing to have massapequa perk open and safe during Covid. And my once a week thrill gives me life. We appreciate you, and can’t wait for this to be over. I take my walks through Massapequa to Massapequa Park and always bring my dog. I understand that I can’t bring him in but I totally forgot and was politely asked to keep him outside.
