“We had a special couples meal tonight at Silvia . The hostess greeted us with a smile and showed us to a corner table ; perfect for a one on one chat . Our server Ally was knowledgeable and very personable ..on her recommendation we started with a house-made ginger rosemary non alcoholic drink ..wow ! Then we had oysters and the prosciutto and figs ..both were excellent ..our mains were the mushroom and asparagus over pasta and the smoked pork chop on polenta ..OUTSTANDING . Ally was attentive without being intrusive .. The manager stopped by to thank us for coming in . All the staff seem happy and effective ..great space , lovely vibe . we drove 75 min for the meal and it was well worth it ., HIGHLY RECOMMEND”

“Nice spot and was perfect for me and some friends to sit at the bar and catch up on life. We had just had a bad experience somewhere else and came in here for a drink to unwind and it was a good decision.
They were on top of making sure we had drinks when we were ready. The entire place gave you a nice feel and the guy working the bar was very friendly.
I’ll for sure go back when I visit again.”

“So glad we found this gem while driving by. The food is sosososo good! The pho was delicious - the noodles were airy, the broth was light and flavorful and the beef was so tender. We also had beef Momo - it was so tasty and super juicy! It gave a warm, home-cooked meal vibe. And don’t get me started on the Vietnamese ice coffee - it was the perfect ice coffee!

The only thing is service was slow and not very attentive, even though we were the only ones there for a while.”

“I've drank a lot of really good DIPAs, IPAs from Tree House, Fidens, Alchemist, Foam, etc. Decided to stop on way home from Belleayre gave the I Dream in Blue DIPA a try. It competes with Tree House "Super Treat" nice up front candied taste and a mellow back end not a bitter/hoppy feel at all.”

“Love love Garden Cafe! The food is amazing, service is always great (quick and very friendly), and setting is cozy and convenient (right in the heart of Woodstock). Their creativity with food and beverages is why we keep coming back. Whether you’re vegan or vegetarian or neither, you’ll find something very tasty. I’m vegan and this is my favorite restaurant of all for food, people, and atmosphere. Highly recommend! Oh and the owner is one of the kindest, most genuine and caring people you’ll be lucky to meet”

“Cucina was kind enough to accommodate a last minute birthday. They were busy on a Friday night, so would recommend a reservation. Drinks were great if a bit pricey. Had the Halibut, which was delicious. Desert was good too, with our group splitting olive oil cake and molten chocolate cake.”

“I was out today riding my motorcycle over the mountain and stopped in for a twist cone. Your chocolate and vanilla ice cream is so rich in flavor. I remember if correctly it was called Juergen's Place back in the 1960's.”

“My husband and I have been to breakfast twice in the last month and both times it was delicious. My husband is a big fan of the chicken and waffles. Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. We get inspired by the chalkboards for new dinner ideas to cook at home! A++”

“Impressive!! We have been wanting to try this place for quite awhile and came away fat and sassy. Cod special, outstanding. Milanese, just like in Argentina (their chimichurri is quite good). Vegetables cooked to perfection.

“Great food, great staff, atmosphere is tolerable unless you to in and there are a lot of screaming kids there, but that is my own hangup. I have never had a bad meal here and the owners (yes there are multiple) are smart , savvy, and very generous with donations to the community, besides serving as volunteer firefighters. I wish more people were more community minded.”

“Mountain Gate has the best Indian food in the Hudson Valley by far, probably even the entire state. Absolutely love coming here! The chicken vindaloo is always my go-to dish, and my husband loves the shrimp curry. Food is always fresh and just spicy enough. Beautiful decor and super friendly waitstaff. I would definitely recommend Mountain Gate to anyone looking to soothe their Indian food craving.”

“Another great visit to Sharkie’s in Woodstock! We always make it a point to eat here, and it somehow keeps getting better. Stopped in for meatballs and wine while waiting for takeout, loved it so much we stayed an extra day just to come back for meatball subs. Mark is such a warm, genuine owner, and Sharkie’s is truly a safe, welcoming place for all. Bonus: we grabbed frozen meatballs as Christmas gifts and love that they can be delivered now. “We had a great meal on the outdoor patio. Baby Iceberg Wedge gem lettuce, cucumber, tomato, avocado, carrot ginger miso dressing was excellent. The grilled Edamame was delicious albeit a little spicy. By far the Shan Tofu with green mango, radish, kumquat, chili, ginger & sliced almond was my favorite. I could have ate 2 orders. We also had the Crispy Kung Pao Cauliflower with snap pea, sweet pepper & cashews and the Sauteed Bok Choy, both of which were delicious. While there is a lot of meat on the menu, each section had at least 2 vegan options, so we felt that we had enough choices. Updated from previous review on 2026-08-29”

“The restaurant has live music on Saturday evenings. We went thereto see our friend perform, who is an incredible singer. The menu was limited, but the food was excellent. They have a unique way of serving. You write down your order and hand it in. Then the food is brought to your table. You write your own check, listing what you had, and bring it to the bar to settle up when you're ready to leave. I had pan seared salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The portion was too large for me to finish. My wife had crispy duck with mashed potatoes, veggie, marsala grilled apples and cranberry chutney. She said it was one of the best she's ever had. For dessert, I had crispy warm apple pie ala mode. It was delicious and the portion was large enough for two people to share. It isn't a fancy restaurant, but quite comfortable. The owners were very friendly and attentive.”
