“This is hands down the best pizza I’ve had in Ossining. I specifically had the BBQ chicken slice and margarita slice while my father did plain slices and they were all gigantic but also loaded. If you’ve never been here before and live in the area, or are coming off the train this is a must stop spot being right up the hill.Take note the pizza is very greasy, but it has to do with type of cheese being used. The firmness and texture are perfect and not soggy at all. In my opinion this pizza would score very high on a Dave Portnoy pizza scale for those that rate pizza’s.I’ve had catering from here as well as other sandwiches and they are all great as well, but personally for me it’s the pizza that stands out the most and is a hidden gem that people should start paying more attention to.“

The pizza has been inconsistent, once I asked for a meatball slice and they should have said they didn't have it but instead they just cut up some meatball on top of a plain slice - not appetizing but I appreciated them trying to accommodate my request. “My wife and I had never been to Tarrytown before, but on a whim got a reservation for our anniversary at Bistro 12. We couldn't recommend it more! We ate the lobster bisque, calamari and a Caesar salad to start. I had the seafood risotto and my wife had the Ravioli Tartufata, both very delicious. Both the food and service were fantastic, would return in a heartbeat.“

“My daughter-in-law is from Brazil and introduced my family to some treats like Brigadeiros and so I found Araras online and visited one day to get some . So happy I did and I’ve been back several times to pick up different treats and also to buy some groceries from the market. “The pepperoni rolls here are somehow the most amazing food on Earth. They had went downhill for a bit - which was still superior to most - but somehow have made a comeback to perfection. Only downside is that I do not live in Croton anymore, and the 50 we bought to take home are now having to be shared with the kids because they too have realized how great they are! My husband had linguini vongole and I had some sort of pasta pocket filled with spinach and ricotta. My husband said his was delicious. My pasta was so light and the filling was excellent. We shared a side of shiitake mushrooms and put that on top of our dishes - perfect. They treated us to tiramisu because we went the day of the snowstorm and they had some left over that wouldn't have been fresh the next day. It was superb. “This is definitely an "Old School" Italian restaurant. We had a large party, and they have a dining area off to the side that nicely accommodated us. The wait staff kept our water glasses full and checked in often. I'm not sure if the food service is slow on purpose (so that you don't feel rushed), or if it's just slow. There was a ton of bread and butter on the table along with olives, cubed cheese and a tomato bruschetta sauce for dipping. The fried calamari was tender and tasty. I'd give it 5 stars. Everything else was fine. (I thought the Mussels Bianco were over salted.) Though my date loved his Shrimp Marinara (which had a lot of other shellfish in it too), our other friend didn't love the fillet of sole. BUT, another eating companion LOVED the Osso Bucco. Ya' can't please everyone, but it sure is a nice place to sit and enjoy everyone's company!“

She really enjoyed her caramel latte, as did I with my black coffee. We opted to get the maple syrup which is an extra $3 each, but it's well worth it. My friend loved her eggs and home fries as well, and only brought some home because she was too full to finish it all. The diner was very clean and the staff was accommodating and quick. We never had to look for a staff member when we needed something. I would definitely recommend anyone check them out. I had the bucatini with zucchini and it was so special; savory and rich without feeling heavy. The cocktail list is small but the tequila mule was pretty good. We ordered a ton of food - three appetizers, two mains, two desserts, a cocktail, sparkling water and one soda and the bill came to just under $200 which felt really reasonable. My jeans feel tight and that is fine for me because it was worth every calorie.“
