“Lifelong Palisades resident, and have loved the 9W Market/The Filling Station since it opened back in 2011! A HUGE improvement over the previous ownership when it was called the Palisades Market which opened in the spring of 2010 and was only open for a few months and then closed. I was so disappointed with the Palisades Market because it lacked a decent food selection and this community needed something so much more. Luckily, the owners of the 9W Market have done such an amazing job! I’ve never had a bad meal here! The ingredients are high quality and super fresh! The atmosphere and ambiance is very relaxing and tranquil! Love the bistro theme on the indoor side and picnic theme by the filling station burger stand. Not to mention, the burgers are the best I’ve ever had! Made with high quality grass fed beef! This is gourmet nyc restaurant style food right in our local neighborhood! Keep up the great work!“

“The Healthy in Dyckman Juice Bar is one of my new favorites! The variety of food options available is mind boggling and I mean that in a good way. As someone who doesn’t eat dairy, I love it here. My favorite thing I’ve tried so far is the Salmon rice bowl. It’s so healthy, delicious, filling, and well priced! The avocado toast with the eggs was hitting too! You must give this gem a try. “I went into the Fantastic Foods store in Norwood, NJ for the first time and was amazed at the international food sections, as well as the cooking classes they offer. The owner proudly introduced me to the products. Before I left, as I was at the register paying for the things that I had purchased, the owner asked me if I’d like to try the pecan pie. She noticed that I was cooking tempting it. It looked so incredible I wondered if it tasted as good as it looked. When I tried a piece, I was astounded at how delicious it was! I’ve never tasted anything quite like it! I’ve never had pecan pie, but this must’ve been a cut above the rest. The cinnamon flavor was divine, and I immediately ordered a piece for myself to go. When I got into my car, I couldn’t wait! I immediately devoured my delicious pecan pie. My father used to say it was his favorite but I bet he never had anything this good!! I wish he was around so I could share it with him but it made me happy to know that I now can share his joy! I immediately texted my friends to tell them about my experience! The owner tells me that they also serve crêpes. I can’t imagine how amazing they must be. I Highly recommend Fantastic Foods to anyone who is selective in their culinary taste and looks for international foods. “We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was exactly what we wanted. We had ample room for 40 guests and a jazz piano player. From the appetizers, Bellinis, Prosecco, wine and other beverages, to the sumptuous gourmet buffet dinner to the most delicious celebratory cake, everything was PERFECT. I say this as someone who has organized many events professionally over the decades. Donna Sullivan and Jean-Jacques are top notch.“

“This bakery alone is reason enough to move to Tarrytown! I live across the river but take the train to NYC occasionally, which was how I discovered this amazing cafe. First off, their almond croissant is absolutely the best in the world - as an almond croissant aficionado, I have tasted many many :-) - we buy them to take home wherever we pass through this station. Other items are of equal calibre in taste and quality. Most recently we sampled their savory biscuit, mushroom cheddar quiche and beef empanada, plus homemade lemonade. That was when we got the impulse to check out real estate prices in Tarrytown haha! Service is always friendly and attentive. The cafe is in the old defunct ticketing office/waiting hall, with a bathroom for all passengers (no purchase required for using the bathroom facilities). The entire place is artfully decorated and diligently kept pristine, hardly expected of a busy railway station. If you pass through this station, stop by this cafe/bakehouse for an unforgettable culinary experience!“

“Sweetest cafe in Irvington, New York. Clean space, service is smooth and quick, food is fresh, and they have an array of pastry options. We tried the honey turkey sandwich, tiramisu, and cappuccino- everything was just right and the portions perfect. You’ll feel at home inside; ideal for breakfast, brunch or for study. “Finally, the Bronx has a place where people have healthy eating options, except for the desserts, but I ain't mad- that panacotta was goooood! Anyways, I love the ambiance and space, cool music selection (at least for me). There are small tables where you can eat. The place is spacious and clean. The hot food section could use a bit more space but not a detterant. It is like a Manhattan buffet space but better. Right now it is a hidden gem but I anticipate it will get more crowded, and they may need more space. The drinks and panacotta were my favorite! For drinks I got the hibiscus, ginger, chia and also the strawberry, mint lemonade I think it was. A tad sweet but very refreshing!

Parking: There is parking but scarce, not sure if there is an extra lot somewhere that I might have missed. There is also some street parking but also a bit ambiguous. A bit of congestion when you have cars coming in and out of a narrow street - not sure if it was due to the time of day I visited. Overall, however, I would say parking is ok.“

The pastries looks amazing, but got the breakfast wrap (you'll have to order a side if you're hungry) and the 3 egg omelette with homefries and toast were more filling and served hot. “Great caterer !!!! Deserves 10 stars! Fabulous four foot Charcuterie Board that served over 30 people. Salmon -Chicken- Shrimp and Cold Cuts with vegetables, cheeses, fruits and cheeses. Professional servers are top rated. Great to work with from the start of planning to day of. They did a Summer non alcoholic drink bar and an iced tea and iced coffee bar. Tasty ice cream chipwiches to top off a great party catered by La Promenade. Would recommend for your next party! “This place is a hidden gem/slice of heaven. The pastries are made fresh daily and are light and really perfectly balanced. They come with great flavors that you don't commonly find like cardamom. It was very hard to decide but I went with a pistachio option for pastry/doughnut. I also ordered a cappuccino and added one of their cafe-made flavors: s'mores. They offer others but this was especially good and again, not overly sweet. They really got it right. Dean and Co are very friendly & courteous. If you're close by, make this a part of your morning routine!

“We had a family dinner at Rockin Roots as the kick off to an event filled weekend. We wanted something more casual and fun with an elevated twist. We worked with Mike and he came up with a perfect menu to make our picky kids and adult foodies happy. When we arrived the table was set and delicious appetizers were ready to go!! They were followed by a delicious meal of chicken, salmon and awesome sides. Everyone had a great time and raved about the food.“

“This is a pleasant addition to town, and obviously quite popular. I only gave 2 stars for food because despite having a collection of 3 nondairy milks (75 cent upcharge not appreciated!) there is not a single food item a vegan or person with dairy issues can eat. Also, the only place you can sit and work on a device is the big table, which is usually full. Every other sitting area has tables that are the same height or lower than the chairs/stools so really not back friendly. Service is good and nice minimalist vibe-- will be back!

Response to owner: Regarding vegan pastries, if they are indeed vegan (dairy, egg, butter honey free) then why not label them as such or at least put up a little sign that says ask us about our vegan options?“

“My niece wanted a specialized ice coffee from this location. She claims that it's delicious. I'm am simply and wanted just black coffee. The service staff need customer service training. You are told that you need to get your own sugar. napkins need to be requested.“

“Ordered four pupusas, two with beans and cheese and two with chicken and cheese, and 4 taquitos, two with carne and two with chicken. Not gonna lie I couldn’t tell which one was the chicken and which one was carne so that threw me off a little bit, but the food was pretty delicious. I wasn’t a big fan of la salsa roja, it was a little thin for me and honestly I don’t think we needed that much. But everything was solid. We had some leftover guacamole which rounded out the meal. Definitely recommend the pupusas! Also the best part, everything came out to just about $20, really solid price for the food in my opinion.“

“Incredible, authentic, and quaint place! I was pleasantly surprised to find that the croquetas weren’t so greasy that the fat seeped onto my fingers or into the napkins. Cuban sandwich is perfectly thin and crispy, not like other Cuban sandwiches that leave you feeling overly stuffed. The only drawback for me was their lack of vegetarian options; the exact day we visited they were out of the only vegetarian sandwich. Pablo is very friendly :)“

“Easy to get to bc it’s inside Hmart. Has all the basic Korean bakery stuff you need. If you want the whole spread you should go to a stand alone Korean bakery bc they will have more. Free parking lot in the shopping plaza. This way you can go food shopping but also get bakery stuff. My favorite pastry was there which they don’t sell in most Korean bakeries - Soboro custard cream - it’s like coffee cake crunchies on top (but it’s not coffee flavored) with plenty of cream inside. It's $3.75 each which is kind of pricey. But there aren’t many Korean bakeries in Yonkers.
