“I stopped in recently to pick up a very last minute cake for a birthday celebration, no pre order made. There were so many choices. I picked up a small strawberry shortcake (made with fresh strawberries) and it was a huge hit! Like other reviews mention, this is an “old school bakery” vibe, no frills, just a large variety of home made delicious treats and reasonably priced. I’d highly recommend to anyone in the area in need of a special order dessert, last minute needs, or just something really yummy to enjoy! ***cash only“

“Flour Power Bakery absolutely nailed our daughter’s first birthday cake. The design matched our little cutie pie theme perfectly and it tasted just as amazing as it looked. “Me and Bae had some errands to run in the bronx and decided to get some food. He's been years back but it was my first time trying them. As soon as we walked in there was a line that was wrapped around the whole place. It's a Lil confusing but we found the back of the line and slowly but surely made our way to the front. We ordered two beef and chicken patties, two coco bread, one meatloaf(beef filled coco bread) and two carrot juice and a ting soda. They get u up outta there fast tho and it's only cash. When we were leaving the line was forming outside the store so just be patient. We couldn't wait to get to the car and tear into everything. The first one I grabbed was the beef and while it was good it wasn't as seasoned as I thought it would be. But the chicken I really enjoyed and it was a Lil spicy. I ate that with the coco bread. Bae put his whole beef patty in his coco bread and devoured it lol but even he admits the beef was better back in the day. All in all I Def will be back for that chicken patty and soft delicious coco bread. Oh and that carrot juice was delicious as well Def recommend grabbing one!“

“My husband and I made the long drive yesterday (2 1/2 hrs each way) from upstate NY to visit our daughter in NYC just for the day. While strolling around her neighborhood we came upon your lovely bakery and cafe and after eyeing the beautiful carrot cake in the window, we had to go in. Carrot cake is my favorite sweet treat. There were so many beautiful choices, but we got 2 slices of carrot cake to take back home with us. After the long drive back home we were really looking forward to a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. I opened one of the beautifully packed boxes, which revealed an enormous slice of yumminess!! The slice was big enough for at least 3 people. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everything about this cake was phenomenal. The frosting was outstanding, the cake was so flavorful and moist. It was the best we’ve ever had. We have enough left for a few days. I’m so glad we stopped in. It was a great way to end our lovely day in the city and will most certainly go back on our next trek in . I will also have to get our daughter pick up some baked goods when she’s coming home for a visit. I highly recommend Crumbly Cafe & Bakery😊😊“

“My opinion is 8.7/10. Is it the best Jamaican beef patty I've ever had? No but overall our place that makes handmade Jamaican beef patties with a good overall flavor I recommend it. “Used to go the Mount Vernon shop when I was a kid, then after the fire and they moved to the Bronx..followed them down there- EVEN when the current owner bought from the gentile older man from MV... "Paul" has kept up standards. The Coco Breads are THE BOMB - I'd know, I was taught to make them at the bakery my Granny worked in Mo'bay every summer! A MUST HAVE !!!! Go out of your way. I was looking to order a cake for a birthday, and I was impressed by their photos on Instagram as well as the flavor of the slices they had for sale (one of which I received as a gift). “I found Bertha after doing a search for two tier custom cakes in the Bronx. I was unsure and a little skeptical about ordering online from someone I couldn’t physically meet but I took the chance and ordered 7 dozen cupcakes and a two tiered chocolate cake with chocolate filling for my daughters sweet sixteen and they came out so beautiful and delicious. She asked me to send a pic of a cake that I liked and she replicated the cake so well with my own lil spin on it. She did an awesome job and I would definitely recommend her and buy cakes from her for any event I may have in the future. Also, she is much cheaper than most bakeries that usually would charge $800 for the cake I wanted. I only paid $280 and the cake was just as beautiful as the cake another bakery quoted. Today I purchased halva rugalach, that was delicious along with their chocolate rugalach! They’re located on East 90th Street just off First Avenueon the north east side of the street. They are closed on Saturday.“

The whole experience was seamless, and they even delivered it right to my home, which was such a help. We had a traveling themed bridal shower and Wildly Cakes was able to make this beautiful world map on the side. But it doesn’t just end there the cake itself tasted delicious. We got a vanilla cake with cookie butter filling and all my guests ranted and raved on how good it was. We actually have our wedding cake being made by them too and we cannot wait to see and taste it especially after this great first impression.“
