“I have been going to this bagel shop for like four years now. It is the best bagel shop that I have found within a 6 mile radius. The ladies who work the front are so sweet and have incredible memories.

I am writing this review immediately after I had a peak Hastings Own Bagel experience. I walk into the store, she says: “Bad boy, scallion cream cheese, no toasted, iced coffee 2 sugars, black, large.” Needless to say I was out of there two minutes after entering.

In my probably 500 orders there has only ever been one mistake and it was when they had a new staff member and he confused me and someone else’s orders.

I talk about their bagels to people literally worldwide. They hold up incredibly well frozen and take like 3 days to get properly stale. The crumb is incredible, the crust is great. Literally what more could you ask for from a bagel shop.

Ok now on to the product more specifically and portions. I really think they have it down pat for the cream cheese to bagel ratio, there is never too much or two little, it’s a good serving and I feel like it is perfectly satiating. They have a great selection of bagels and have a pretty good spread variety. I personally go for the bad boy because everything is too far for me. They have a good griddle setup, whenever I get an egg and cheese or a BEC I find myself enjoying it, they could use a little more egg sometimes but I get it, trump’s America.

“I immediately noticed that this is a homemade patty. Not your traditional flaky Jamaican patty with excessive shortening or butter cut into the dough. That being said, for the lack of flake, there is no shortage of flavor. What a delicious bite. The beef and the chicken were both tasty and well seasoned.

I did not stay inside of the store longer than two minutes at most. Extremely efficient customer service.

“I love crumbl cookie. I’ve only gone a few times but from what I’ve had is yummy! The pink sugar cookies are good and I love the warm cookies and cream cookies! The only thing, I wish the staff was a little bit more attentive. I wasn’t really greeted with a smile and there was only like one person there. I get that you guys are busy, especially with only one staff member, but it’s not a lot to ask for a smile! Cookies are great, service could be better!“

Now there are truly great and consistent options in pastries and cakes that are excellent treats and for special occasions while being very accessible in this neighborhood. Looking forward to frequent this shop. Favs are coffee drinks, buns with Asian flare i.e. those with red bean and sweet potato fillings. Everything chocolate is excellent... My bias since I love chocolates😜. The Croissant donut is great. Fruit pastries are excellent too. The savory and cheesy items are also great. "Paul" has kept up standards. The Coco Breads are THE BOMB - I'd know, I was taught to make them at the bakery my Granny worked in Mo'bay every summer! A MUST HAVE !!!! Go out of your way. We had a traveling themed bridal shower and Wildly Cakes was able to make this beautiful world map on the side. But it doesn’t just end there the cake itself tasted delicious. We got a vanilla cake with cookie butter filling and all my guests ranted and raved on how good it was. We actually have our wedding cake being made by them too and we cannot wait to see and taste it especially after this great first impression.“

I was looking to order a cake for a birthday, and I was impressed by their photos on Instagram as well as the flavor of the slices they had for sale (one of which I received as a gift).
